This scent is gorgeous. It is warm and pretty. It is a complex scent with so many notes but they all meld into one another beautifully. The mix of woody notes, green, spices and florals make is beautifully unique. It is a scent that is definitely unisex yet so pretty. I think it is exquisite.

A lighter version than the parfum

I wear the parfum version of this scent but switch to the toilette in Summer. I do feel this is a lighter version of the parfum which offers a hint of the full-on fragrance. It's perfect when you don't want something too overpowering but it has notes of rose and musk in it. The 50ml bottle is perfect for travel and a good size to try.

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL Fragrance

MESMERIZING. This is a gorgeous fragrance. For me, this is my year-round, go-to base layer. Depending on the season, the day, the mood, I can layer a rose or blackberry and bay, or another Diptyque fragrance over it to accentuate one facet or another in this scent… they say it’s a woody, green floral but I think it’s more of a deep, complex citrus with warm rose undertones, some patchouli or vanilla and clove / sandalwood. This lives up to its reputation - it is WAY MORE than 5 stars - try a million. Gorgeous, fabulous…cannot get enough of this amazing fragrance and hope it is in stock the next time I run out (just ran out and purchased another immediately!!)

Amazing Fragrance!

I got this as a compliment on my business class trip in Qatar airlines. The moment I sprayed it, I was spellbound by the fragrance (I am a male by the way). Whenever I walk along those duty-free perfume shops in international airports, I would distinctly smell a very specific woody-citrusy fragrance and used to wonder what fragrance that was. I don't know if it was this, but this smells exactly like those fragrance wafting in the airport shops. It does have complex notes, but I distinctly smell a very pleasant and a little stronger woody and citrusy fragrance in my opinion. The fragrance notes actually get better after 10 minutes. Amazing fragrance

I really love this fragrance and the story behind it. It's quite unisex with leathery, oaky tones. It isn't too sweet which I like. It's very unique and certainly unlike other fragrances I have. The bottle also looks amazing. I just wish the fragrance lasted a little longer as I do find myself topping up fairly frequently. Next time, I'll try the parfum.

Another favourite

I love this fragrance. It's earthy and nutty, but not in an overpowering way. I think it has a very sensual and feminine scent to it. The longevity of the fragrance is awesome! I can always smell it on me. Plus, the bottle is gorgeous with its curvy shape and gold lettering.

Not The Smell I Was Expecting

I wanted to buy this because the 34 Boulevard Saint Germain bar soap smells amazing. This doesn’t smell anything like it. They really should attach a sample to the packaging so you can smell it before you open the box. It’s a beautiful bottle on my perfume stand. I wish they could bottle the bar soap scent!!

Very unique and beautiful smelling scent

I don’t usually find perfumes that stand out to me in my opinion. But this perfume has a very unique yet beautiful scent in my opinion. I tried it on 2 days ago and couldn’t stop thinking about it and drove all the way to the city to purchase the 50 mls bottle. This scent is like walking into an old bookshop in the streets of Paris. It’s very vintage, unique and such a special smell. This is not an everyday scent where you can find in most brands. If I had to choose one fragrance, over and over again, it would have to be this one. I wish they made it in the Eau De Parfum range, it would last a lot longer on my skin.

Diptyque has been one of perfumery houses for ca 10 years. So I am very well aquatinted how the perfumes should open up and how the notes work together. (1) Firstly, The Diptyque 34 Boulevard Saint Germain Eau de Toilette arrived with clear signs that the bottle had been opened before. But this was not my the main issue. (2) The Eau de Toilette smells and looks like it is outdated. The color is too orange (almost red) and the scent has an off-note smell, a bitter-sour-plain one. Even went to the Diptyque official store to confirm that my suspicion is true. And it was. Maybe there has been a temperature damage (this can happen if the perfumes are not kept in stable temperature) or the scent was just outdated.
