I could not wait to see for myself the latest product to be released from Diptyque. The Hourglass diffuser. What a clever and innovative idea. Take one of Diptyque's favorite fragrances, I chose Figuier, put it in a time honored hourglass and viola, you have a diffuser the gently releases its fragrant around the room. You simply turn it over to release its scent. It slowly drips into the bottom half of the hourglass , after 20 minutes or so if you want more to be released simply turn it over again. Love the design , love the fragrant.

Beautiful but expensive for the limited use. Each diffuser can only be used with one fragrance, and after using the initial product, it can only be refilled twice (with the same fragrance). Also needs to be manually turned over so is expensive for a manual diffuser. The hourglass concept is cute though.

I was so excited for this purchase. I have so many diptyque candles, I thought it was time to add an hourglass to my collection too. Whilst this scent is beautiful, you need to be within 1m to smell it. The scent throw is almost no existent. I put it in my smallest bedroom with the door shut as an experiment, when I opened the door there was no trace of fragrance. Even an unlit Diptyque candle has a stronger scent throw than this hourglass. Don’t waste your money on something so expensive for so little pay off.

Bought this as a gift. Perfume diffusers are safe middle ground for gifts. This one is that bit more. It’s an elegant decorative display piece as well. Refill bottles mean it’s going to stay useful as a diffuser, but it will look special even if empty.
This is my favourite of the hourglass scents. I have refilled it more than twice as recommended and I can still smell it. Such a lovely earthy/,woody smell and is Perfect next to my bed- gently emits fragrance and is not overpowering. It also looks really chic.
I love the elegant design of this new diffuser it's so classic yet innovative! I have bought one as a housewarming present and I just had to buy one for myself! The scents of Baies and figuier are so fresh and green, the fragrance is not over powering at all and really fills the space perfectly! My home smells like a florist which is a dream for any flower lover!
I love the look of this diffuser - the hourglass shape and detailing is gorgeous. But there is just no scent. I turn the hourglass at least 4 time a day but there is nothing. You need to get really up close and personal to even pick up the scent.Saying that - I find the figue candle is also hit and miss - the scent is so subtle as to be not detectable.Given the price point - and that you can only refill twice - it’s disappointing.
I bought this diffuser to take into hospital for the birth of our first bub - my midwives suggested an essential oil diffuser but I just wasn’t able to find anything I really liked and it felt wasteful to buy something for just one day that I wouldn’t use later at home.I found this at Mecca and knew it would be the perfect solution. The diffuser is easy to assemble and smells incredible - exactly like the fig candle, but is way more long lasting. Even when not in use, the smell of the diffuser permeates through the vents. Bonus is that it’s a really beautiful looking piece and looks great in our house.
I love this product. Such a beautiful smell. Not too overpowering and leaves a subtle aroma in the room. Lasts for ages too. Plus it’s so lovely to look at- wish you could refill it for ever! Next time will try another one of the diptique fragrances to see which one I prefer.
