Diptyque L'Eau Papier Eau De Toilette 100 ml
As ink soaks into a sheet of white paper, shadows emerge. Worlds are invented. L'Eau Papier celebrates the power of the imagination – that moment, suspended in time, when ink, paper, and the hand become one. An encounter made perfume, plunging us into the heart of musk and its multiple facets. Musk evolves, changes, and expresses itself over time and from one skin to another, just as ink saturates paper, assuming its texture to conjure up dreams and images. In L'Eau Papier, white musks are delicately faceted by an accord of a rice steam, evoking the grain of the paper. To these are added luminous notes of mimosa, while a backdrop of blonde wood tones grounds L'Eau Papier in the material itself. DID YOU KNOW? In this eau de toilette, the perfumer used Grasse mimosa, a variety that has been cultivated since 1865. Its downy yellow flowers bloom in February on the hills around the town of Grasse, offering a stunning sight scented with sunny, floral, and honeyed notes.

An asset to the Diptyque collection. On release, I was rather sceptical if it would be for me but after receiving a sample with another purchase, I ended up seasonally preferring L’Eau Papier to the perfume I actually ordered which is Eau de Parfum (Fleur De Peau) and so I then ordered L’Eau Papier in addition because it’s created the most incredible sillage, more so than the Parfum I originally ordered. The fragrance is very unique (light, fresh and woody) and therefore I believe this is a contributing factor in the longevity but also because Diptyque above all other brands has the edge both in creating exquisite unique fragrances and longevity.Expect the unexpected with Diptyque and yet divine in every single way.In my opinion Diptyque is the most trustworthy ... The brand creates personal feelings, narratives and evokes emotions in their perfumery, not just in their descriptions.

A perfume with character yet so gentle!I tried this in store and absolutely fell in love with it! I bought it because I thought it’s such a lovely smell and it smells different on everyone (I know cause I had my friend and partner try it with me) and the smell developed differently for each of us (which I thought was mind blowing, in a good way!) <3As one of the reviews here said, this scent actually is more like an intimate fragrance. Meaning it is NOT a loud fragrance. It’s something someone close to you can only smell and appreciate. It smells like a really nice, clean person, wearing a crisp white shirt. It smells soothing and calming.I can see this fragrance being worn by both men and women — all year round — no matter the age. It has a fresh yet a little ... It has a fresh yet a little floral-y scent but not too matured nor too young. I think it’s a perfect balance.Today I wore this fragrance around 2 PM and now it’s almost 2:15 AM but I can still smell it and even everyone around me said they can smell it!!! I love how this scent lasted on me considering it is an EDT and I always buy EDP. I’m so impressed!!!Overall, I would highly suggest this fragrance!!! Though I kinda wanna gatekeep it cause it’s so nice that I don’t want anyone else to know what it is and become a mainstream! LolIt’s my first diptyque perfume but surely won’t be the last because of this. <3Friendly Tip: TRY IT ON YOUR SKIN FIRST. WAIT FOR A FEW HOURS. THEN DECIDE WHETHER YOU WANNA BUY IT.Wait till the fragrance settles on your skin so you can smell what it’s like. Do not rely on the top note only! Do not just spray it on paper either. Try it directly ON YOUR SKIN.I hope this helps! :)

This was a present to me, and although I can understand that it is a form of "blind-buy," I am absolutely head over heels in love with it!!I did not anticipate that this would be classified as a skin scent until I tried it on myself; I believe that this is because it contains musk. Even though fragrantica claims that it does not contain any pink peppercorn in its notes, I can still smell pink peppercorn, and the fragrance is very pleasant. The scent of mimosa, followed by the aroma of wood, is quite pleasant to the nose. I put it on around 8:00 a.m., and here at 1:00 p.m., I can still detect a trace of the scent.

I went to Nordstrom NorthPark Center and tested Diptyque’s L’Eau Papier, it is a beautiful, airy and unique fragrance. When I spray it on my skin I get the Rice steam first off, but just for a little while then it dries down into a beautiful musk. This sits close to the skin but whoever is in your scent bubble will enjoy your presence. You can wear this to brunch, a wedding, to work, to run errands, it is non offensive. It’s reminiscent of Juliet has a gun’s Not a perfume and Le Labo’s Another 13 ( which I love both)but more elevated. It’s like dance, it brings you to a familiar place then twirls you around and dips you then holds you close. I have been on a mission to find my next 'clean' perfume. By the description of L'Eau Papier, I was instantly drawn to it and was pretty certain this would be the next perfume to my collection. The first spritz on to my arm was heavenly. It was clean (as I imagined), powdery, subtle, and yes, smelled "papery". As I walked around the store, what I initially found pleasant made me instantly regret spritzing it on to my skin. Ambergris isn't even listed as one of the ingredients, however, the fragrance bloomed like so on my arm. It was starting to give me a headache, so I rushed home to wash it off. Even then, it remained on my arm.Looks like I'll continue on with my mission to find my next perfume.
This isn't a paper scent - it's quite sweet, musky and soft. Reminiscent of a musky dryer sheet. Very feminine. I was hoping for more woods to balance out the sweetness, but I don't detect that note at all. Stays close to the body and disappears after about three hours. Appropriate for spring days. Nothing edgy or exciting here, but it's pleasant.
The words that come to mind right away are "crisp, clean, light". First of all it doesn't have a strong throw or a lot of staying power, it's definitely a subtler scent. The scent itself is a bit hard to describe - it's a real light spring scent. A bit white musk, a bit powdery, a tiny bit creamy - yellow floral and not white floral. I don't get any of the sesame, which I would like, but it's not too cloying. Quite ephemeral, if you like your perfume to walk into the room with you this isn't it. Pretty and light but not powerful.
As a person with deep fondness of perfume, art, and books — Diptyque’s L’eau Papier invoked such emotions and feelings from me in a which which feels gentle and calming. It opens up such endless world of zen in a bottle.I would wear this FOR MYSELF. With this in mind, I think this perfume served its purpose — as when faced with a blank canvas, an endless possibilities and imagination follows. 🤍
This is a lovely fragrance with a really special first note which is unique and enticing. Makes me feel snug and cosy. The dry down is quite shy though. Smells like my skin but better. That kind of musky and warm summer skin. Performance is poor. I just think the price point for these EDTs is a bit much - can easily get through a bottle every couple of months if you top up as much as needed to keep the scent there all day!
Excited to see a new Diptyque release, I began searching for reviews to see if this would be a safe blind buy. I read reviews comparing it to Fleur de Peau (which I love), Orpheon (also love), and most interesting for me - Glossier You, which is on my “most wanted” list. While I understand the comparisons to Fleur de Peau and Orpheon, they are very loose comparisons. Of the three, this is my least favourite. I seen the notes listed to include rice steam accord, while other places have listed that note as sesame. Either way, that’s the note that is problematic for me. It starts out quite sweet, which I don’t like, then it mellows to just a cozy warmth. But the damage is done for me with that initial, ‘I don’t like this’ moment at the beginning.I do like that this is a good trans-seasonal scent and it’s ideal for right now when the weather is not too hot or too cold. This would definitely not be a scent I’d reach for in summer as that initial sweetness would be overwhelming (Orpheon would be my pick for summer), but I much prefer Fleur de Peau for winter because the cozy iris musk is so comforting on a cool day.I’m glad I got the smaller size because I don’t love this perfume. It would have been great to have had the Scent Sample on this one because I most likely would have returned it after trying. But who knows - maybe this will grown on me. I would just say definitely try it before you commit to a full bottle because as much as you love Fleur de Peau and/or Orpheon, what makes this one different from those two is what makes me not like it as much.
