Disney Lorcana - TCG - Gateway

Packaged poorly arrived opened.

Fun game for teaching Lorcana to newbies

Great Game

Worth the money if interested in learning to play. Gives a syep by step on actual game play and breks down the aspects of the game.

Great introduction to Lorcana!

This is basically Lorcana in traditional board game form geared towards new players. It starts each player with 30-card decks with just basic character cards and gives you challenges to complete during gameplay. If you clear all 4 challenges between the two players you get to open one of the four packs of cards to add to both decks introducing new mechanics with each pack until you've fully learned the core rules. Seasoned players may even still want to pick this up due to the upgraded components and as a tool to teach others. You get an actual board game quality board rather than a fold out sheet, thick cardboard movers with stands, thick cardboard tokens and a nice box that fits in nicely with other Ravensburger games. It's worth noting you don't get the usual foil cards or booster packs that most Lorcana products come with, and the Steel and Emerald ink colors are not represented in this set, but I don't think those are too big of an issue. You can always expand out once you are familiar with this set. I originally bought the Lumineer's Quest - Deep Trouble thinking it would be a good introduction and boy was that a mistake as a new player! While it came with everything needed for two people to play and even solo/cooperative play, it was WAY too difficult even on the easiest difficulty and there were the core rules to learn AND more rules on top of that.

Great way to start!

It is a great game. I highly recommend Lorcana to anyone who likes Disney and Card games

Quality is amazing. Proper board game and an excellent starter for anyone who wants to get into Lorcana and doesn’t know where to start. Instructions are very clear

Great starter for newbies

New player must

Bought this as a way for me to introduce myself how to play the game. This is an excellent teaching tool. Please note that there are no random cards in here so there are no chase cards, however there are a few decent cards in the sets. I love how they give you various play styles to learn so that you can see how other decks function. I highly recommend for all new players.

Not the best bang for your buck

I really wouldn’t recommend buying this product unless you look into it and know you’d like to play lorcana in this way. Personally it doesn’t interest me. I’d much rather buy troves or booster boxes. Ursula’s illumineer’s quest is epic however. I’d recommend that over this and the amethyst starter deck is a lot of fun.

Thank you so much

Exactly as I expected it was awesome
