DJI FPV Remote Controller 3

I really wanted to like this item. If you use this, be prepared to leave it on your controller, like forever.\nI put the phone holder on my FPV controller 3 and did a couple of test flights and everything was great. I would have liked this design to be in two pieces, connected together with a screw, so it could go on and come off easy, as this won't fit in my drone case attached. The holder fits very, very snug, when I took the holder off my controller, the piece where it sits on the lanyard holder, snapped right off! I was kinda bummed but I am glad I didn't damage the controller. If this is re-designed in two pieces where it could come off and go back on, something similar to LiftThor's phone/tablet holder, I would be willing to give it another try.

If you are a thumb pilot or accustomed to using game controllers, this may be the best style controller for you.Offering customizable buttons and plenty of controls to handle the Avatas and for anyone wishing to progress into manual, full control flight, this controller is an absolute must have.The downside for me is, because I fly by "pinching" the sticks and my grip on the controller, it is tricky not to accidentally engage a button or control switch with my other fingers.For most FPV pilots, these controllers offer better handling and are far more preferred over the motion controller, in fact, my motion controller hasnt been out of the case since my remote controller 3 arrived.

This controller is a great controller for anyone looking to unlock the capabilities of their dji drone. It is very user friendly and helps the average person become a great pilot. Definitely recommend.

Was super easy to bind with my Avata 2, and works flawlessly! Now I just need to get more practice in order to unlock all the magic this controller & drone combo are capable of! Definitely would recommend buying this in order to take your Avata 2 to the next level.

Long Reach, Ideal for Freestyle FPV Flying

The DJI FPV Remote Controller has two sticks, for flight in normal mode, and with adjustable tension for manual freestyle use. This controller must be used with DJI Goggles 2 or 3. The antennae are built in, but have two or three times the reach of the DJI Mobile Controller.

Must have Accessory for the Avata 2

I purchased this when I ordered the Avata 2. The pnly complaint is that it took almost 2 weeks to arrive but in fairness it was on back order from EVERY source so definitely not Best Buy's fault. If youre going to really get all of the functions from the Avata 2 you absolutely need this remote to do so.

Nice quality controller.

Brought this controller to activate Manual Mode on the Avata. Works as I expected from a DJI Remote. Quality feels like other DJI product, so it’s excellent.The Con: To fly in Manual Mode I have to remove the plastic piece on the back, take a screw driver and tighten the screw, then place the plastic piece back. I have to do this again and again going from normal mode to manual mode and back. Why can’t DJI create a button on the back to automatically loose or tighten the joystick??

Pinch Don't Thumb!

This is the only way to access Manual Mode. Controller 3 is lighter than the previous version. It is well made and the sticks are very smooth. The precision you can achieve is pretty amazing.
