Pearl Cotton size 3 is the perfect thread for needlepoint, creative stitchery and embroidery, plus it works well on plastic canvas. DMC Pearl Cotton is a highly mercerized, non-divisible, lustrous 100% cotton thread on a twisted skein. The twist of the thread is how it received its ǣPearlǥ description. The thread is soft, silky, does not fluff or kink, and 100% colourfast. NB:- Colour displayed may vary from actual colour due to your devise settings and screen type.

The Pearl Cotten floss was the exact color I needed for an extensive needlepoint project. It is easy to stitch with, does not separate or fuzz. I will definately buy other colors

I buy embroidery floss to make friendship bracelets with, so when I saw the larger skeins I bought some up. This texture is great to use as base strings for alpha patterns but does not work very well when mixed with the traditional textured string. I would not mix textures unless you're more experienced with making them. As I don't actually embroider, I can't speak for how well it would work for that purpose.... Show more

This thread was exactly what I needed! I found 2 old child sized pillows that used to belong to my grown daughters as children .One had lost it’s stuffing and the other was coming unraveled. I decided to fix them up for one of my daughter’s girls of her own who are still young. As I was studying what I needed to do for each pillow, I realized that they were different poses of the same bunny but one had been individually stuffed and outlined and the other hadn’t. So, at Michael’s, I found the perfect thread to stuff and outline the second bunny so the granddaughters will recognize that they are the same bunny. It is still a work in progress as We just finished Christmas, but I can’t wait to give these finished pillows to my granddaughters!!... Show more

This DMC Size 8 Pearl Cotton is perfect for embroidering with something other than stranded floss. I also use it for Japanese Sashiko embroidery, so the white color I chose contrasts perfectly with an indigo blue fabric. As always, DMC is known for top quality, and this item met all expectations. Not bad for needlepoint, but not ideal

Using this on an 18 mesh needlepoint canvas. The colors are excellent and it looks really good. My only complaint is that the thread is not a smooth as a silk or merino, and it sometimes catches in the canvas. It's comparatively thick, and at times it's difficult for the needle (#24) to pass through a hole that already has a stitch in it. I think the finished piece will look very good, but I'm not sure that I will use this for my next piece, since silk is so much easier to work with.... Show more

DMC pearl cotton floss is a great durable, affordable thread. I use it for many needlepoint projects. The color selection is extensive with many shades in each color family. The blanc white is a true white. This floss is great on 13 and 18 count needlepoint canvas.... Show more

My daughter needed red "thread" for a school project that was thick enough to see from a distance. This worked out great and was very affordable. My only critique is finding it in the store was a little difficult. It was with the embroidery floss.... Show more
