An incredibly sweet, seductive fragrance. Like a more grown-up version of "CK One Shock". Very high-quality smelling amber and tobacco, while not being too overpowering. I personally love the scent, but I don't believe this should be an everyday wear. This fragrance is more of a date night, once a week type fragrance that SHOULD NOT be overused. Keep it in your arsenal and use when appropriate. I own the 1.7 but I will definitely repurchase in a larger size. A secret weapon, use with caution. An EDP that acts like an EDC

I was excited when this fragrance was delivered to my house and I was eager to wear it. I was truly hoping that all of those reviewers that complained about the performance were simply wrong because this truly looks like a giant considering the dark color of the juice and the high price and the fact that it was an Eau de Parfum. That aside I was terribly disappointed because I only get maybe 6hrs MAX on the skin. How could this be? Then I realized that this is just another mismarked, over priced and over hyped modern fragrance with substandard ingredients. I usually go Vintage so I should've known better. That aside it does smell nice but that's it.

Candles..Lotion..

OK so this is one that all the ladies say drives them crazy and ya know... Well, I can tell you why. This stuff smells more like a womens perfume rather than mens cologne especially in the opening. At first it smells like a waxy scented candle. Then it smells like air freshener. A little while later it finally starts to smell like something for men during the dry-down with a hint of woods and cinnamon spice. But the dry-down also brings the smell of lotion or sunscreen in the ending. Im glad this stuff has a low projection. Its an aquired smell if you are a man but I can see why women like it. One time purchase for me. Next.

The fragrance definitely evolves into these amazing afternotes that live up to its formidable reputation. However, after 2-3 hours it all seems to dissipate leaving only the faintest residue. You may need to decant some into a small atomizer if you're hoping to maintain this fragrance all night long?Summary: Bang for buck?... this D&G fragrance lives up to its name. One might experience considerably more depth and duration from a Tom Ford (Oud Wood) equivalent. But at three times the price? I think D&G's The One, is incredibly good value. On the whole, it's a yes from me.

This is a good, but over-hyped fragrance. In scent tests, it frequently receives a 6/10 from women. It is so sweet, they sometimes find it effeminate. It is widely liked, but seldom loved by non aficionados. In many reviews, it is described very differently than what it actually is when it hits my nose. So, I feel there needs to be SOMEONE who gives a proper description and review. The One smells like warm sugar, enveloping a thick amber scent. The Coriander and Cardamom dominate the the opening and heart, which settles into a sweet, sensual Amber scent in the base. The Tobacco gives it a "thicc" quality, as if it is sticky. Don't judge it completely by the opening.

Reconsider purchasing Fragrances

I have purchased this product twice a year for 5 years for my husband. This current time the product is a Fake. The color of the Eau de toilette is completely different, scent is different. The bottle cap different. Unfortunately my husband opened it past the "New Macy's" return policy. I am stuck with a Fake Dolce and Gabana product. I trusted that I would always get original colognes from Macys which is why I purchased here vs the fragrance stores that are found in shopping center.

Solid fragrance for your rotation

This should be in every man's rotation of fragrances. It's more of a night time, fall/winter, or date type of fragrance. It has wonderful oriental notes and smells great on the skin for a long time. Don't be afraid to load this stuff on heavy. 3 sprays will make your woman happy, but she's in your space and close. If you want others to smell you (if your single), load this up with 9 sprays or more (hit those pulse points everywhere), it won't offend anyone, trust me. You need to wear this heavy if you want attention because this fragrance is so subtle in the absolute best way.
