Have the 33L version which swayed us to buy this to use as Mrs on the road every day's lunch cooler. Keeps the lunch in the car from spoiling during hot days. A 1L frozen bottle of water works well to keep things cool (and we pre chill overnight with another 1L frozen bottle). Highly recommended.

Wish me luckAfter months (6?) of daily use I can safely say this is well constructed and does the job, the hinges are top notch, my lunches are kept cool all day.I'm not 100% sold on the internal dimensions. I feel it could be tweaked slightly to accommodate 1.25ltr bottles better but it's far from a deal breaker.Speaking of dimensions. It's just the right size for a impromptu seat. Another quibble. Maybe the strap isn't long enough.

This is my second Dometic icebox and I absolutely love both of them! They're great quality and do an awesone job of keeping everything cool. I bought the 13L to compliment my 33L just to have something smaller for single day outings or to use to keep a few drinks cool if my 33L is packed with all the food.

I think this might be a pretty good Ice Box, although my ice does not last the advertised "3-10 days" under typical Sydney conditions. That's OK, 1 day is sufficient for me. The advertised dimensions are incorrect. Height and width values seem to have been transposed. The advertised graphics are grossly misleading, showing 8 large drink bottles contained. But the lid cannot be closed with typical 1.25 litre bottles. Better provide the actual internal dimensions, so we can make a proper assessment. All that aside, I like the 5-years warranty, the rubber latches, and the apparently sturdy construction of the box itself, although the carry strap feels a bit underweight for the job. Foam-fill is a must have of-course, and it's astonishing that many ice-boxes apparently ... Esky is good, but the strap sucks. Uncomfortable and inconveniently short. I had to remove it and make a new one with rope that was more practical. If I couldn't do this I would have returned it.
Bought this as a smaller version of my larger eski for picnics and working in isolated areas. Fits a good amount of drinks and food. Very happy!
We’ve had this for a few weeks now. Great size for a day road trip. Keeps everything nice and cold! Plenty of room for a couple of beers and bourbons and also waters and food if needed. Still had ice at end of the day! Although haven’t used as yet on a really hot day but I think it will be good. Very happy, so far so good.
We already have the Dometic 56l icebox, so we knew it was a great brand to buy. This little one is perfect for taking additional drinks / small snacks / lunch in the car or on a picnic. The strap comes in handy. Its also a great foot stool when we are back at camp relaxing. We bought it on sale at half price which was the real deciding factor. One more thing - don't forget to remove the little plastic dots that are stuck on between the lid and base before you use it.
I brought this 13 litre esky a few months back, and I've been waiting to give it a good test. I've got a larger one for weekends, and fridge for long trips. But as an overnighter this is superb. Fits a 1 litre milk bottle standing up which is great. Heaps of room, and my gel ice block hadn't thawed in the morning. (even in 35 degree heat during the day)You can't expect miracles, but you can get the right tools for the right job. This makes a snap camping decision super easy, and much less lugging around the big esky.Great buy. I couldn't be happier.

These will deteriorate with time, and this will be exacerbated by any sort of reel oil or sunscreen that gets on the material from your fingers.Likewise the synthetic shoulder strap will deteriorate as I have had this material on other product that has literally disintegrated,, The main issue- as with all these small coolers- will be the hinge mechanism on the lid - force the lid back too far and they are prone to have hinge failures- but it is a small cooler so this goes with the territory ....The big positives are the depth of the cooler for It's size and the very solid construction of the actual casing.
