Dove Men+Care Thickening & Nourishing 2 in 1 Shampoo Plus Conditioner

Oh look! Another man grooming product with a dark grey label, how original! Genius marketing Unilever, bravo. Menthol? ...hmm. Caffeine? I dunno, I like to drink my caffeine not smear it on my head. But hey if you work in the man soap PR division you gotta try *something*. Good shampoo though! Minty / spicy / cool soap smell, I like it. Typical pearly shampoo appearance and consistency. The big bottle lasts forever. I've been using this product for months and always thought it did a good job. Still, I feel like the shampoo / conditioner combos are a bit of a scam. The gobs of sulfate based foam keep the conditioning parts from sticking to your hair and actually doing anything. Everyone knows this but we're lazy and buy them anyway. Speaking of lazy, sometimes I just spread around the shampoo lather on my head and use it as a bodywash. Bad idea. I stepped out of the shower and WOOOOoooOOO is there a draft in here??! The menthol concentration is too strong for, uh, all over body cleansing.

Very strong smell. I wanted to like this shampoo since I read so many great reviews but it didn't work for me. My hair looked very dry and frizzy. I even used the same conditioner. I was wondering why it didn't work for me. Then I saw it has SLS and paraben, both of which I'm trying to avoid right now. It's great for people who have oily hair or want to remove build up. But it was way too strong smell for me and bit rough for my hair. I wouldn't want this as a daily shampoo.

Amazing!

Yes, squeaky clean hair, leaves a cooling effect on scalp, and when my curly hair air dries, I feel like I used a Super Moisturizing shampoo and sometimes I don't have to use a leave in Conditioner after using this. I was told not to use this because it's for only oily, fine hair but whatever makes my thick, short curly hair looks it's best like this product, I stick with it plain and Simple. Dove Men's Products are the best!

Great smell

I have been using Dove products for awhile now and have never been disappointed. Same goes with this 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner. Wasn't a problem with it drying out my hair at all . Amazing smell that last awhile . After working for 10 hrs in a sweat shop . I could still smell the nice aroma everytime my hair moved . Nice clean feel to my hair . No use for any other type of conditioner because this worked wonders . No issue with tangled hair either . I love the pump style bottle and it works great. No need to have to open a bottle and pour it in my hand . I like this beings I feel less is wasted beings my previous bottle I had to pour in my hand and I would often drop half of it trying to get it in my hair . The smell of it is so good . Husband shampoo

It is my second time to purchased this one for my husband. It took too long because it last for 3 months. He love the scent and he felt comfortable after using this shampoo. The bottle size attractive and very big. But I advice to consult first to your trusted dermatologist before using the product.

Invigorating Shampoo, not just for men...

Refreshing shampoo for lots of fine hair with combination needs (oily roots but dry scalp & ends). I bought this shampoo for my Dad initially, since it was on sale at Costco in the large size. However, since I'm always searching for a new shampoo I decided to try it myself, despite it being "engineered for men" (I'm a female!). Now, I'm really glad I did! I love the convenient pump + the 2-in-1 formula. It leaves my hair shiny and healthy-looking, and my scalp refreshed-feeling. Needless to say, I will be keeping this shampoo for myself lol! Just wanted to let others know that the whole family could be satisfied with this product, in case anyone was wondering ;) Please keep making this product, Dove!

Makes your hair feel GREAT!

I just recently purchased this shampoo in hope of good results. My hair was so extremely dry & damaged from coloring over the years. There were split ends, "frizzy fly aways", & I even began noticing breakage. After brushing my hair (wet or dry) there would be alot of my damaged hair left in the brush or comb. My hair was actually thinning out & wouldn't even style right anymore. I tried quite a few of the "expensive" brands thinking that costing more $ meant better quality, however, I WAS WRONG. I saw the new Dove Shampoo & Conditioner on my local store shelf & noticed Dove also had a formula specifically for very dry, damaged hair. I bought BOTH! (Shampoo & Conditioner). After using the new Dove shampoo & conditioner one time...I noticed a big improvement! My hair actually "felt" good as I was washing it (didn't clump into wet tangles as it had been using other products). I was able to run my fingers through my entire head of hair while shampooing & rinsing -which, by the way, rinsed out easily! All Icould feel was wet, SOFT, CLEAN HAIR! Then I applied the conditioner & amazingly it was so easy to apply from root to ends due to NO TANGLES! I concentrated on applying the conditioner on all my hair but more focused on the "dead, dry" ends- waited the 1 to 2 min as reccomended on the bottle & AGAIN...ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL RESULTS! It felt as though my hair actually absorbed the condiioner instead of just coating it thickly & leaving my hair feeling "heavy, weighed down, OR with a greasy, oily residue as some of the $$ brands tended to. Styling & drying was, to me who had such dry damaged hair for so long, astonishing as I watched my hair become healthier looking, soft, & able to style more easily without having to tug at my brush through heavy (sometimes even knotted) tangles. I'm continuing to use BOTH the Dove shampoo & conditoner for just over a month now & I am sincerely VERY PLEASED w/the results! There also has been no more "breakage" leaving my hairbrush clean & NOT full of "dead" & dry hair that used to reside & fill up after styling my hair. Others have also noticed & commented on how good my hair looks! I'm happy & proud to tell them its not from an expensive salon or product(s)....its from my new DOVE Shampoo & Conditioner!

It is tingly good, and an aroma fills the air that is amazing, too. You start thinking you are in a spa, and this is going to cost a ton of money, but who cares. To feel like this, it's totally worth it. Then, you open your eyes and realize you weren't asleep at all. You were daydreaming in the shower while washing your hair, and you cannot wait to do this again tomorrow morning. Yeah, that's this shampoo.Dude. Get some.

Need to inprove bottle design and reduce wate.

Doesn’t indicate how the spout can be opened. I’ve tried twisting and rotating it in all directions with no effect. This brand and it’s parent are not eco friendly , there is always some product wasted at the end. Their straws are too wide but short. This puts out more than whats needed.I was able to get 7 more days worth of product after the pump stopped sucking the product out. The shampoo is good quality though.

Wonderful

This is the best shampoo. I like that it makes my hair feel squeaky clean and no residue or build up. It smells good and when my hair air drys it is not kinky. It looks shiny and strong. It thickens my hair. I’m 15 and I like this.
