Smell is good! make my clothes soft I like Ultra Downy April Fresh Liquid Fabric Conditioner. I always use this fabric conditioner every time for laundry. It brings lasting freshness for all my clothes. My clothes’s colors are protected. Beside, this fabric softens, fights stretch, reduces wrinkles, anti-static, anti-fuzz. All my family members like the fresh scent and feel comfortable when putting clothes on.

I was being super lazy and didn’t want to go to Costco, so I tried buying this from Amazon and I was not disappointed in the slightest. Its prices competitive and its formula is impeccable. I love Ultra Downy April Fresh Liquid Fabric Conditioner. I always use this fabric conditioner every time for laundry. I just need put 1/3 of cup for medium loads, 2/3 of cup for large loads, 1 full cup for full capacity loads. It brings lasting freshness for all my clothes. My clothes’s colors are protected. Beside, this fabric softens, fights stretch, reduces wrinkles, anti-static, anti-fuzz. All my family members like the fresh scent and feel comfortable when putting clothes on.

Did it change again?!

I have been using nothing but April Fresh Downy for over 40 years. Years ago they changed the scent or formula. People protested and they went back to the original scent. The last 2 bottles are different again. Not sure if it's the new "New 30% more softening power" or what but it makes my laundry smell terrible- almost like washed BO that didn't wash out but perfumed. Am I the only one that's noticed this?Why do companies feel they need to mess with a perfectly good product?

Disappointing

I have used Downy fabric softener for several decades and was always very happy with it. But recently the large bottles I buy at Sam's have started turning into sludge when the bottle is half empty. No amount of stirring, shaking, watering down, or what have you restores the product to a usable condition. A bottle that is half full has to be thrown away - you can't even pour it down the sink because the sludge just will not melt! So even the bottle can't be recycled. It's always disappointing when you use a product for years and years and suddenly the quality gets so bad you can't use it anymore. I will no longer buy Downy and will switch brands.

Does not work well with my new washer.

But the bottle I purchased most recently has an unusually thick consistency, and I have had to add water and blend it with a whisk before pouring it into the auto-dispenser on my washer, which is a major brand front-loader, about a year old, and by itself blends softener with water before injecting it into the tub. But it cannot handle the contents of this particular bottle of Downy without my prepping the liquid first.I do not believe there is anything wrong with the dispenser on my new machine, because it worked well with a bottle of Downy left over from when I retired my older machine, but this recently-purchased bottle is simply too thick and lumpy to go through the new one because the lumps are too heavy to break ... MoreI have used Downy Fabric Conditioner for years. I loved that gravy, but it was not very digestible, and I'm fairly positive it would not break down in my washer either!While I have no other objection to Downy, I am tired of whisk-blending each cup of Downy with water before the washer does the same thing a second time, so I am switching to another brand. I noticed one in particular, Sam's Club Members Mark, that some users said was "too watery" but substantially cheaper than Downy, so I am going to try a bottle of that in the hopes it is in fact more watery!

Downy Ultra Concentrated Ruining the Brand

I have used Downy for over 50 years, but that might end now because this new Ultra Concentrated is horrible! Trying to pour this latest product is like pouring polyjuice potion for smurfs. Even after shaking the bottle it still has huge globs that block the pour spout, then the Downy breaks through the blockage resulting in a sudden spurt making a mess and wasting product. If this is my only choice of Downy at Sam's, then for the first time in my life, I will be looking for something new.

Well, ya know…it’s Downey. Lightly fragranced liquid that makes your laundry smell oh so good. I don’t want to overlook the value of your clothes’ softness tho. After all it is fabric softener. But heavenly smell is a true bonus. Easy dispenser which I can place directly over my washing machine receptacle. Easy Pleasy.

I have used this product all my life highly recommend it

I have used this product, even as a child in my parent's house, as the oldest of 6 kids and tasked to do the family laundry. Clothes always smell fresh and clean. When I married, my husband wanted to buy a cheaper brand and it was not negotiable. My delicates and sweaters are soft and not scratchy or rough. My youngest ( now in late 20's) once grabbed her favorite crocheted crib blanket and said it smelled like love and argued with her older brother when he said it was Downy. While I prefer her belief, I know the blanket was lovingly cared for and its lifespan expanded by caring for it with Downy.

Love the original scent

I've tried all the Downy scents, but I always come back to the original. The other scents do the job, but you just can't beat the original. It reminds me of my kids being little again because it was the only scent available when they were small. One morning at school their teacher asked me what fabric softener I was using because the kid's clothes always smelled so good. It's also great for softening towels and jeans, I love it, and you can't beat BJ's price especially when they offer a coupon.
