This is a keeper. I just started using this on my dogs too. Charlie has itchy skin and I have tried everything that didn't seem to work and keep the itch at bay for any length of time. I tried this on him and surprisingly, he was like statute-man, standing still like he was actually enjoying his bath. PLUS hours passed before eliciting any sign of itch and now each time I bath him, more and more time passes before the itch returns. Love this soap. I use it as hand washing and body washing in the shower. As I often wash my hands throughout the day. This soap helps to not dry out my skin!! It leaves it moist! Also, for 1/2 gallon of soap, this size helps me last through many months without having to buy more soap! Also, I like how this is unscented, due to wearing contacts lenses. I don’t want any scented things/oils touching my contacts and in my eye. Also, for other visitors who comes over and possibly allergic to certain scents/oils. Love this product!

I was taken back by the color lol but it’s not a deal breaker (I get that’s how it’s suppose to look)…nor is the fact that to me it smells more like spearmint than peppermint (was hoping for the peppermint smell for the holiday).The spearmint would be great for summer…Also skin is quite dry looking afterwards but interestingly soft to touch.I gave it five stars because the pros out weigh the cons…1) Smells great2) Has a smooth silky texture3) Skin has a tingle/cool feeling afterwards (would be great for summer)4) No worrisome ingredients

I read reviews and Q&A on this product before buying. Some people had trouble adjusting to it, refining the process, etc., so I went in hopeful with my head of long, fine hair. I get great results washing with just baking soda and water, then rinsing with ACV and water, but thought the sugar soap would come in handy on days I'm short on time. Glad I took the chance. I was prepared to use ACV and water (50/50) as a rinse, again hoping it would work...which it did. (The consistency of the sugar soap is quite thin and had to use several pumps to coat my scalp and hair.) I'm not sure if my ratio of ACV/water is correct, and don't know how I'd tell if it weren't (for balanced ph), but I definitely need it as a rinse or I'd never get a comb through. (I don't have hard water.)The scent is way too mild for me...and I didn't feel a tingle, which you always should with peppermint unless it's used in a product more for the property of it rather than the scent.
So rich & creamy, it is very gentle on sensitive skin & one of the few hand washes that don't make my eyes itch. It also smells absolutely divine.Although it is expensive, it is good value, especially when on offer, because you only need a tiny bit so a bottle lasts for ages. If it's just me at home in the day, I sometimes leave the water in the basin after I've washed my hands & the bathroom is filled with beautiful lavender aroma. Lovely.The company has good ethics and supports its employees & producers with its "Constructive Capitalism".
Love this soap. Have to admit I was apprehensive about using soap to wash my hair. I worried This would make my hair even drier - boy was I wrong! My hair stays cleaner longer, my scalp no longer itches from shampoos filled with who knows what, and my hair actually feels softer. I won’t ever go back to “shampoo” it’s got to be Dr Bronner’s!Love this as a body wash or hand soap too! Nice peppermint fresh smell.
This peppermint sugar soap has changed my life, I suffer with adult acne and it’s helped so much! I’ve been using this soap as a face wash and now I’m hooked! The lather is creamy, It calms my skin and relaxes me at night and it’s great in the morning when I need help waking up! It’s invigorating to the senses and so refreshing without being extremely minty that I can’t open my eyes, but I still get that minty tingle that I love. After I wash my face I use their peppermint lotion to add moisture back into my skin and it’s such a dreamy combination that I can’t live without now! I will definitely buy the large size from now on! I want to try the tea tree next time I order!
I love this product so much! We are a sensitive skin family and the unscented sugar soap is the perfect balance of gentle cleansing power with moisturizing properties. I use this as a base to create hand soap, face wash, shampoo, and body wash for all members of the family depending on their skin needs and fragrance preferences. I use 1.5 cups of the this with a half a cup of Dr. Bronner's liquid castille of choice and two tablespoons of almond oil in a mason jar dispenser. Amazing whole body results!
I recently tried the Unscented Baby pump Sugar Soap. I used it both as a facial/body wash …and as a shampoo. I didn’t think I could love a Bronners soap any more than I love the Unscented Baby pure Castile…I think I love the Sugar Soap even a little more for facial and body wash. It is so gentle and has a silky lather ( you do have to work up the lather a bit by working it up between the palms of your hands).I was so surprised at how great the Sugar Soap is as a shampoo !! I won’t be using anything else . I have shoulder length fine but moderately thick blunt cut hair…white hair as I am 72. I generally have problems with fly away and really bad luck with conditioners weighing my hair down…flat down. ThisSugar Soap was wonderful without any conditioner at all. Love love this sugar soap as a shampoo.Just an aside:The baby balm is great for taming fly always. I work a bit into my hands ..just a smidge and run it lightly through my hair. Every time I have ended up with soft hair with bounce and shine .
This product i actually like. The consistency could be a lot better. The smell gives off a decent peppermint smell, not a super thick peppermint scent how I would prefer. The scrub doesn’t work well as a shampoo on my family’s hair, completely dries our hair out- terribly. For a hand wash and face wash, we love it! It has my hands feeling a lot smoother than they have felt since I was a baby. Washing my sons face with this is awesome! His face smells like peppermint afterwards which he loves. We use it daily. I do think the product is on the expensive side since you have to use quite a bit.
