My husband has seborrheic dermatitis (SD) on his scalp. We tried all of the medicated shampoos out there meant for people with this scalp condition, and none of them worked. I had read that tea tree oil was a remedy for SD, and since I already am a Dr. Bronner’s fan, I decided to get my husband a bottle of this to try. It worked! It is the only shampoo that keeps his SD away. He uses it every time he washes his hair. Also, I recently was experiencing some scalp irritation and redness in one area, so I used the shampoo and with one wash, my scalp no longer hurt and was no longer red. This is powerful stuff! So I use it occasionally when I wash my hair, but not regularly as I find it a bit drying for my hair. When I use it I follow it up with a moisturizing shampoo ... 1Used and 1 leaking...
Love the product, sick and tired of the delivery/packing! Been buying this for a long time and been buying from Target for sometime now and had no issues. Lately though, whoever is packing doesn’t know what they’re doing. The one I received recently came with no safety seal and had some product missing (used/returned) no way am I using that! Then I asked for a replacement. The pics are the replacement….. a piece of tape wrapped around the flip top only instead of OVER the ENTIRE cap and “attaching” it to the bottle. Box was delivered leaking (from the bottom) on my porch bench. See pictures of how NOT to pack a bottle of liquid product. I asked if they could just resend the citrus instead, hoping it would come from a different location, and I asked if she could cover the shipping as my refund wouldn’t be available for up to 5 days and I needed this soap over a week ago. She told me that she couldn’t deduct the shipping. Seriously, I’m being penalized for your packaging error? Probably going to purchase from another big box store with fingers crossed. Never had issues before with product arriving from Target damaged or used, but something is going on with how people are packing. Items come from regular Target stores (not a warehouse) and the employees aren’t shown how to package items for shipping. Very dissatisfied and very disappointed. Such a waste.... Show more

Dr Bronner, Pure Castilla Liquid Soap
I recommend this product, it is exactly as Dr. Bronner claims it to be. I use a little amount to wash my hair, my hair feels soft and shines. I no longer need to use conditioner on my very dry hair. I use this same product to wash my entire body, it feels great on my skin and does not irritate my skin and especially my face. This product is the best buy for me, far better than any other hair salon shampoo.Thank you Dr Bronner for your excellent products. I have bought your toothpaste and it does whiten my teeth and the peppermint taste wonderful. I had also bought your Sal Sud product, excellent to clean surfaces and to spray on my plants to keep spiders away.Optimized, please order and sell all of Dr Bronner’s other products, which you have not imported yet. Hair falling out
Love this for my hands. After civid my hands were so chaped and terrible. Nothing worked until this soap. However, this soap caused a big clump of hair to fall out. And then hair falling out every day. I switched to the Tea Tree bar soap and my hair still fell out but not clumps like the regular soap. I have had hair fall out, I am older but never like this. Now I need to return the hair rinse 2 of the 3 I purchased R not open. I continue to use the regular soap and the bar soap for my hands and body.Something good that happened with my nails. I had a vertical split in my thumb nail for about 5 years, nothing worked to fix it. After I started using the regular Tea Tree soap to wash my hands that split healed. And it healed quickly. I have to assume it was your soap.... Show more

Happily Using It For 51 Years
I've been using Dr. Bronner's liquid soap since 1973, when my college roommate turned me on to it. Started with peppermint of course, then later almond, eucalyptus, and finally lavender. It has kept me clean of body and mind (well, no, not really of mind) for the past half-century. It's mild but incredibly effective, with no harsh chemicals, weird ingredients, or irritants. I have tried it (diluted) as a mouthwash (effective, but YUCK, it's soap!), and it even works on squeaky hinges. The peppermint is truly rejuvenating, and lovely in a warm water foot soak. Lavender is actually a very calming scent, good for an evening bath or shower. There are other flavor, my spouse likes rose, and there's even an unscented version. I use Dr. Bronners for EVERYTHING!
This is such an amazing product that is so versatile and it's completely natural with no toxic chemicals! It's concentrated so it goes such a long way as you only need to use a small amount. It can replace laundry detergent (1/4 cup for a regular size load) and it leaves clothes so fresh and soft with no residue or dangerous chemicals. It can replace dish liquid and leaves dishes so clean without having to worry about chemicals left behind. A couple of drops in a spray bottle full of water makes a perfect all purpose cleaner. A couple of cap fulls in your mop bucket full of hot water cleans your floors. A few drops on a washcloth replaces body wash or use a few drops for face wash. A couple of cap fulls in a bath is perfect for your kids. Wash your pets, makeup ... MoreThis is such an amazing product that is so versatile and it's completely natural with no toxic chemicals! Ok strength 1/2 a bottle used in 4 days. $$$$
I love that this product is made from natural ingredients! That’s why I bought it. However I’ve already used half a bottle in 4 days. I tried to follow the suggested dilution instructions but as you will learn yourself if you purchase this it’s not strong enough. I like it best so far as a face wash. I like it the least so far for dishes as I think that’s where it has been least effective. I ordered the house cleaner version so hopefully that’s better for dishes. I didn’t mind this for a shampoo. It lathered well. Not so sure about it as a body wash yet. Again it just doesn’t seem strong enough to dilute it as suggested. Maybe it’s the water I used… I used bottled spring water in one container and tap in another.... Show more

Singular product
I've been using Dr. Bronner's liquid castile soap since the 1970s. I was taught to use it instead of toothpaste. At the time only the peppermint was available and I had to get used to the taste, but I liked having an alternative to the sticky sugary pastes that were the only things available at the time other than tooth powder. I also began using Dr. Bronner's soap diluted in water as a fruit and vegetable wash. Decades later I discovered the tea tree version and began using that in lieu of the peppermint and found it had a really good effect on my teeth and gums. I was prone to gum infections and the tea tree really seemed to help. Again, had to get used to the taste but I find it much more pleasant than the peppermint. I do use a dilution with water, I don't use it full strength, and it's still powerful. I have now also begun adding it, because of its antibacterial properties, to the home-made daily shower spray that I make. I never have to scrub or hand clean my shower tiles or glass using this spray daily (the other ingredients are water, alcohol, vinegar, dish detergent, and essential oils and you can find lots of different "recipes" online if you search for DIY shower spray). The Dr. Bronner's castile soap is a pure product and I love the spiritual writings on all the bottles and I've continued to use and trust this brand for 50+ years, with my current favorite being the tea tree version.... THE WORST
I am baffled by the great reviews I read on this product. I bought some thinking because it was supposed to be all natural it would be fantastic. it left my hair feeling stripped with that squeaky clean feeling that is not good. looked online and was suggested to rinse my hair with vinegar afterward and it would be fine. what? after only one use in the shower I had a horrible reaction in my....um... nether regions. decided to use it instead for another advertised use which was dish cleaning. noticed immediately it turned the water white. then noticed that on all my glass dishes it left a greasy residue. further it left a greasy residue in my sink as well and I was a little horrified that all this would be on my dishes when I went to use them, cook in them or eat ... WOULD NEVER EVER ORDER HIS PRODUCTS AGAIN.... Show more

Was delivered damaged and unusable - No refund!
This is an excellent product, I have been using this for many years. However, it was delivered damaged. The whole bottle was coated with dried gunk mixed with what stuck to the gunk. Turns out that the seal was open and some the contents had leaked out of the bottle making everything very sticky and messy and dirty. Walmart refused to give me a refund. Walmart would not pick it up so I can get a refund. Walmart wanted me to bring the bottle to them for a refund. I couldn't, I'm in a wheelchair. Walmart kept the money I paid for the item. I wanted to send them a picture so they can see what the bottle was like. Nobody was interested. Walmart made a profit off of a damaged product they had delivered to my home. My question is: Why was this bottle on the shelf for ... MoreThis is an excellent product, I have been using this for many years. However, it was delivered damaged. Walmart remained quiet and kept the money. And I threw the bottle away.... Show more
