I have been using Dr Bronners for over 60 years. When I was sent to VietNam, my mother, whom owned a health food store sent me Dr Bronners all the time. After a short time, she sent me many bottles for my fellow troops. There's no running water in the jungle but it rains all the time. That's how we showered. Of course the soap got us clean but there's magicin every bottle. See, it seemd to cleanse not only our bodies, but our souls as well.I have washed myself a million times, no bad reaction. I do my hair also, very clean and nice feeling, without that chemical feelings. I wash my clothes and dishes with it. It does everything better than expected except for one thing. It never runs out cause I always have more on hand. I hope this helps, don springer aka shooter

This soap is a wonderful cleaner -- that might go without saying, but I must say it. As a castile soap, it can clean many things, and with a little ingenuity you can figure out all kinds of uses for this being a non-toxic, concentrated value-for-your-money cleaner.I personally use this primarily in the shower as a body wash -- to which it works well I will say -- with the only downside being the peppermint oil is *very* present. It lights you up with a semi-tingly, very chilling feeling. I've grown to like it myself, if not love it, but to others wishing to do the same be warned; it doesn't play around. You *will* feel the oils working. The only reason I've knocked a star off is for the price -- which isn't truly a fair assessment for the raw volume of concentrate ... Otherwise 5/5 for myself.

Ever since i turned 60, the skin on my hands dried and cracked after using any bar soap or dish detergent. Now I always keep a bottle of Dr. Bronner's liquid castile soap in kitchen and bathroom. Pop the cap and put a few drops onto a damp sponge, and sink scum gone in a flash. The same with oily spills on my hands, counter, or stove. It really CUTS the grease, without destroying my hands. My FAVORITE use is to clean my glasses: Run lenses under tap to rinse off dust. Rub ONE drop of soap between thumb & index finger. Gently rub this onto both lenses. Rinse under cool running water, no fingers. Tap the glasses and nearly all excess water falls off. The remainder dries without water spots, unless your water is very hard. The CAP is hard to pop open! The pressure ... The pressure needed on the sharp-edged plastic cap is too much for my thin-skinned thumbs, PAINFUL! especially now that I'm 70. I reuse a broken-in cap on many new bottles until it falls apart. Also if only 1-2 drops are needed, it can't be done. The excess soap quickly builds up around the spout. What would you suggest I do? (Or please redesign the cap.)

I’ve been using Dr. Bronner’s since 1991 when a friend shared his at a music festival in an outdoor shower. It was the first and only liquid soap I’ve ever used. I found it at target back then and now order it straight from the source. A scrubbie and this soap is all I need to keep refreshed, exfoliated and pleasant smelling. Sometimes I use it as a shampoo also, but not always. I need scalp treatment from time to time. But I love the ethics of this company and the product is excellent.
I swithced to Dr. Bronner's soaps more than 5 years ago and use them for all my personal cleaning needs. My dermatologist had recommended Cetaphil, because my skin is sensitive. But when I read all the chemical ingredients in their products, I mixed the contents of the bottle with vinegar, salt and citrus juice to make weed killer! Worked well, and I'm glad I was able to find a good use for it. Would never put it on my skin again!Dr. Bronner's peppermint is my go-to, but I switch to the others now and then. Eucalyptus and lavender both provide a pleasant change.I keep a diluted solution for showering and washing hair, squirt it onto a Japanese washcloth where it foams just enough and enables me to reach every part of the body, starting with my head. Eucalyptus and lavender both provide a pleasant change.I keep a diluted solution for showering and washing hair, squirt it onto a Japanese washcloth where it foams just enough and enables me to reach every part of the body, starting with my head. The combination provides excellent exfoliation. I only wash my hair every 3 days, and no longer use conditioner. My rinse is diluted apple cider vinegar, massaged into the scalp and rinsed with lukewarm water. No other hair products needed. Once a week, I'll whip a raw egg or cut a stalk of aloe vera, scoop out the gel, apply to the hair and let it sit for about 20 minutes before washing with Dr. Bronner's. All-natural, no muss, no fuss, nothing I can't pronounce! And almost no hair on the drain screen. When I used body washes and shampoos, the drain needed weekly cleaning walls needed scrubbing t. Now, I treat it once a month with a cup of baking soda followed by a cup of white vinegar to keep it clear.
I love this soap and use it every day with my bath and shower. I have allergies and sensitive skin and this soap is gentle and works. I discovered Dr. Bronner's years ago, and hope it continues to be available for many years more. I've only tried peppermint. I appreciate the 32 oz size and hope it continues at a reasonable price. The store I used to purchase no longer carries (Trader Joes) so I had to purchase directly from Dr. Bronner's website. So glad that it is still available!!!!
I always seek out the highest standards in my skin care products, especially since our skin is the human body’s largest organ. Dr. Bronner’s liquid castile soap meets those highest of standards! I have been using the almond castile liquid soap in my foaming handsoap dispensers and frankly, the scent is like aroma therapy. (I sometimes wash my hands just for the aroma therapy. 🙂). This product has so many practical uses that I now buy it in bulk for savings.
As usual, Dr. Bronner’s products triumph all competition in the market. This peppermint-scented castile soap is probably my most repurchased item from the site. I found it’s effective for both personal use (acne-prone areas) and household use like laundry and dishes (diluted). It’s high-quality like all other DB products I’ve used, and has a potent peppermint scent so if you’re not a peppermint fan, I’d advise to choose a more subtle scent like Almond or Rose. Personally, I appreciate the unambiguous peppermint smell even more — especially with clothes.
Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Castile Soap was my first introduction in to the Bronner world. It had been on my radar for years. I had friends in college that swore by it. But they were my hippie type friends. Preppys like me wouldn't dream of using such a thing. LOL. But boy, was I wrong. 30 years later and I am an absolute convert. The only niggle I had was that I had hard water and it was a bear to keep my shower and bathroom sink clean (I used Sal Suds everywhere else in the house.) I have since had a water softener installed and am so pleased how well even the Castile soap rinses clean now. I had to buy a mat for my tub because the combination of soft water and Castile soap made that first "soft" shower nearly fatal. That stuff is slick! I even make my own foaming ... Oh, and be careful with the Peppermint on your nethers. It will sure wake you up.
This soap is my absolute favorite! I always have super itchy skin most of the time from food allergies or razor bumps and this peppermint soap completely calms my entire body with minty tingles! It’s especially good in the hot months when you need something to cool you down! I wash with it every night and it knocks me out and I finally get the sleep I need, it’s so soothing for soreness too! This soap is also really great if you have a hard time waking up in the morning, it’s really invigorating and refreshing like you just walked out of a waterfall! I also use this soap as a foot soak when my feet really hurt and I swear it takes the swelling down! Now that I’ve tried the peppermint, I really want to try the eucalyptus and the tea tree one!
