Dr Brown's Deluxe Newborn Wide Neck Options+ Gift Set

So these bottles are all around great, especially if you have a gassy or colic baby. They do have 2 downfalls in my opinion. One is no matter what you do, these will eventually leak on you or anyone feeding the baby with these bottles. Two can’t really be helped because it’s why they work so well, there are so many nooks and crannies to clean but it is what it is. I would still recommend these to anyone looking for a good bottle.

THE BEST. Do yourself a favor and go buy these now. We tried the Comotomo brand and he was suuuuper gassy. We pump and breastfeed so that’s why we tried the Comotomo first… these are WAY better. He is 8mo old now and still has zero issue going from bottle to boob. Yes these have multiple parts you have to clean but when you’re exhausted with a newborn you’ll spend the extra minute to clean the parts over having to hear the cry in pain because of gas buildup. These are the bomb. I gift them to everyone.

I received this as a sample but I’ve heard many other of my friends complain about this same issue - these bottles leak like crazy! I wanted to love it because it’s the only brand with an ultra-premie nipple flow and if you’re also breastfeeding, you want to stick with a really slow nipple flow so baby doesn’t get used to guzzling, which would make them impatient at the breast and they’ll develop bottle preference. However, despite the pro of having a slow nipple flow, I just can’t handle the leaking issue so I choose not to use this bottle. There are others that have a slow milk flow that DON’T leak!

This product was great. However, my son just didn’t love the wide neck bottles. I would still recommend them to other moms to give them a try. Every baby is so different. We ended up on Dr Brows regular slow flow bottles with level 2 nipples due to his bottles having to be thickened because of his acid reflux. I highly recommend giving these bottles a try.

Ok, so originally I hated these bottles because they leaked all over. But my baby has had really bad gas and I got desperate. How could there be so many good reviews if they all leak? What am I doing wrong? Turns out, the fill line "do not fill above this line" is obvious once you look for it. The directions "hold at 45 degrees and keep the vent end out of the milk" is much less obvious. Both are definitely complicated to figure out when you haven't slept properly in months. Bottom line is that they really reduce gas... but be careful how you hold them and fill them to feed you baby. If you're careful, they work like a charm.

Amazing for newborns. Got one as a free sample and we ended up buying more. A pain to clean, but when your baby is content without gas pains because they aren’t getting all of that excess air you will be able to RELAX. Mamas deserve to have a break, please research your bottles/ nipple flow and if you are considering formula kendamil is amazing (much higher quality ingredients than many of our US formulas), but this is the recipe to a happy baby. Gas pains are no joke. Also, stock up on gas drops mamas!!! Every baby needs them at some point or another 🙂

My son is just under 2 months. Not 24 hours after birth he had to have surgery, and now has a temporary ostomy. When he was released from the nicu we were in the doctors office, emergency room, and on the phone with doctors right away. He wasn't keeping any food down, and his ostomy bag was constantly full of gas. His VNA advised we try brown bottles because of the vent system and said it would help with gas and the throwing up. I can honestly say we bought them immediately and the change was instant. Our little doesn't throw up at all, he burps sometimes, because he is not swallowing any air, he still fills that bag with gas, that just comes along with having an ostomy. A girlfriend of mine swore by them when her little was a premie and needed something that wouldn't fill her with gas. She's too had an amazing experience. For anyone who's pregnant, becoming pregnant, or currently has a little drinking from something other then dr.brown, in sure your having issues. Other bottle cause the babies to swallow a lot of air, spit/throw up and have a lot of gas pain. Dr.brown is designed so that the babes do not swallow air, and it works. I'm not sure why more doctors don't recommend them, but every new mother should be given one in the hospital, Pedo office and gyno. It should be apart of a new baby gift given by the formula companies just like advent or a knock off no name bottle so moms can use them and quickly learn the positive affects of dr.brown.

Dr Brown's are the BEST

As first time parent's to a newborn we had to learn very quickly what worked and what didn't work, we are so incredibly glad we stumbled across Dr Brown's! After trying and hating the tomee tippee and medela bottles, these one's are absolute gold in comparison. Our baby latches well onto the nipple and doesn't consume anywhere near as much air. These bottles are 100% worth the price tag. We even bought a different set of pink ones and only use this brand now!

Not bad but can be better

I bought 3 bottle warmers and I guess I haven't had a very great experience yet for any of them. What I like about this bottle warmer is that there is a water reservoir and it is very easy to use. The challenge I have is that the instructions on how long you should set the timer for heating 4oz or 8oz is based off of cold temperature(40 degrees F) or room temperature(72 degrees F). First of all, where are any guidelines on cold temperatures at 39, 38, 37 degrees, etc. The same goes for room temperature at 71, 70, 69 degrees etc. Second of all, I don't always heat up 4oz or 8 oz. What about 2oz or 1oz or even 2.5oz guidelines? I think what would be awesome is better guidelines and a thermometer needle that tells you the exact temperature of the milk as it is warming, so we can prevent overheating. Imagine the thermometer needle that is placed in the bottle as you close the lid or something like that. I would then give this product a 5 star rating.

Worst bottles ever

I bought the bottles 2 months ago for my son and they did help with colic. But why I gave it 1 star is because they leak, no matter how tight you put the lid on it will still leak. I will always have to change his clothes because the milk leaks everywhere. I tried to return but Chemist warehouse would not allow it.
