Dr. Dennis Gross - Hyaluronic Marine Hydrating Modeling Mask

I love this hyaluronic marine mask! It is super hydrating and is full of vitamins and minerals due to the marine algae in the product. It is so cooling when it goes on. I recommend putting a serum on underneath so that the mask can push it deeper into the skin. I give this 5 stars but just be aware, the application might take a little getting used to. You mix the powder base with the gel base and use a spatula to apply it (almost like frosting a cake!) Make sure that you made the application thick enough so that it will be easy to remove. The mask will rubberize after about 10 min or so and once you want to remove it it, it should come off in one piece if you did it right. It’s a very different mask.

I have NEVER written a review before and I buy A LOT of products. So that is saying A LOT about how much I love this product. This mask is AMAZING. The second I started peeling it off my face I saw an instant glow. My skin tone was so even looking. No redness. I have relatively dry skin, and this hydrates my face. My fiancé even said “wow your face is so smooth looking” afterwards. I’ve recommended it to all my friends. This is definitely part of my skin routine now! And for 4 masks to be used once a week, you really can’t beat the price. Best Hyaluronic Mask

I admit I bought this because I thought it was a bit of a novelty (although I was looking for a hydrating mask to use). Having used it – it is so NOT a novelty! After the first usage I was blown away – it is brilliant and I will be repurchasing. Due to previous reviews; at first I worked really fast to apply the mask and was a bit grumpy because there is no way I was able to apply a smooth even layer with the spatula. Ended up using a mixture of the spatula and fingers to get it on before it began to set. I now know I have a bit more time but you can’t hang about. I still can’t seem to apply it smoothly all over but it doesn’t really matter – still able to remove it really easily. It is easy to remove (even the bits that ended up in my hairline) and like all peel off masks, feels really satisfying. Afterwards I was amazed how hydrated and soft my skin felt – all plump and glowing. The effects lasted for more than a day. To say I’m pretty impressed with this mask is an understatement!

Great product, but too many issues!

So my first box was defective as many others. The powder was brown, dried up and clumpy. As others posted pictures of, it simply wouldn't mix. I tried chopping up the powder beforehand for another batch, but it gave the same results. Turned into a brown/green clumpy mess unable to spread on my face. I returned it and luckily got a good batch on the 2nd box. Tips for this product - you have to work fast! The 1st time I used it, I spent too much time trying to smooth and even everything out. By the time I made it to my forehead, the remaining mask had turned clumpy and I was unable to spread it. I had no issues peeling it off though, even with it being uneven. Love at first mask!

I used one of the masks during a holiday to quench my skin after sun exposure and then used again on returning home. You have to be quick on mixing the two sachets together. I found it easier to add the powder to the liquid as it mixed well that way. It is easy to apply and instantly feels cool on the skin- great on a hot day! It continued to feel cool on my skin for the 15 minutes I left it on for and after about 5 minutes starts to solidify. Results wise I was really impressed as it left my skin really hydrated and smoother looking. My skin felt tighter and skin calmed. It was fun mixing it all together and worth the effort for the results. I will definitely buy again (once its back in stock!) and will take on holiday again.

Nourishing

I was so excited to try these masks and see if they live up to the hype. You get everything you need in the pack, bowls, spatula, powder and liquid. You mix the powder and liquid quickly and spread across the skin. It sets quickly. I left for the recommended 7-8 mins but you can leave up to 15, I will try that next time. It peels off easily, even from my eyebrows! I was pleased with the result but will leave it on longer next time.

Super glowly clean skin

This mask from Dr Dennis Gross is one of my favourite masks out there! My skin is very fair and delicate, I find it can get lumps and bumps from products and become uncomfortable, but this one is calming to my skin and hydrated it beautifully leaving my skin glowing afterwards. I also like how they have removed the plastic containers they put in to mix the masks with, to reduce the use of plastic that’s binned after one use. Ideally if I could have this twice a week I would.

WOW

This mask made me remember a very old Fantomas film with Jean Marais in terms of its application 😊, but the results were the opposite and simply superb. Do not be concerned with peeling the mask off, it comes off easily even it you keep it on for longer, but the difference between before and after is quite stunning. Will not lie that the effect will last for a long time but it will give you a super-soft lifted happy face for a day!

great! immediate results

I love this mask. Ive purchased this three times now and every time my skin looks super glowy and healthy and feels very smooth and soft immediately after use. The results don't last more than a day (hence 4 out of 5 stars) but I am yet to find a mask that works as well. I have tried many moisture masks, my skin gets really dry and peely in the winter- so bad that I get excess oil and end up with breakouts. The struggle to balance moisturizing and exfoliating is real! This mask though, used once every 1-2 weeks keeps me in check.Re: other reviews that are negative-You need to read the directions and apply in thick even layers. The directions also warn you that it will set in about 5-10min so you have to move once you mix the products together. I use a mini rubber spatula and my fingers. Honestly my fingers work better than anything to make it even. If you have a mask brush that would probably work nicely. The applicators they include suck. For the price they should have included a brush.

I really enjoyed this mask. The package states that it sets quickly, so I knew to go to work immediately. There was enough mixture in one mask mix for both my boyfriend and me, so in a way, it's 8 masks. I have yet to see if the gel will keep in an airtight bag so that I can use half of the mix at a time. Or I can just force my bf to mask with me every time.It's hard to wipe it on elegantly; it will always be clumpy and not smooth like a gel or clay mask. Once it sets on your face, it stays feeling wet on your skin and is gelatinous, although dry, from the outside. I slept in Sunday Riley Luna sleeping oil while my bf got the Korres Wild Rose Brightening sleeping facial, and our faces looked as bright and nourished as they did immediately post-mask.I highly recommend it for anyone who is averse to thick cream hydrating masks (like myself) but still wants a major boost.
