Dr. Jart+ Cicapair Intensive Soothing Repair Treatment Lotion 150ml

I love any super sensitive yet hydrating toner so I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this new wonder toner by Dr Jart! It’s somewhere in between a serum and a toner which is wonderfully different. I like to use it in the morning with a cotton pad pre make up routine, then again in the eve straight from hands to face pre moisturising.

I purchased this b/c I was looking for lightweight hydration and specifically for the cica b/c I have somewhat sensitive acne-prone skin. Began using it day and night as a first step after cleansing. Other than this product I use hemp seed oil and SPF. At night I use tretinoin 6 nights a week, and a mild lactic acid serum 1 night a week and have never had any problems -- my skin looked great. Unfortunately I noticed burning on my cheeks after applying my actives at night once I began using this product, and I developed a bad reaction that weeks later I'm still trying to heal. I've had to stop using my actives which is frustrating, and of course stopped using this product. My skin barrier is toast and my hemp seed oil and SPF now burn when I apply them. I really enjoyed using this. It did help to keep my rosacea spots in check. I think allantoin is doing the heavy lifting here though, also there's better toners out there with more cica % in them for cheaper. Good toner overall but way cheaper alternatives out there.
