Dr.Jart+ Cicapair Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment

I got this stuff because I had to see what all the rage was about! I got the full size since that’s all that was left at my local Sephora. I tried this in my beauty routine for a couple days and this is what I noticed: Color wise this does help tone down the redness of my face so I felt much better about my overall complexion! The consistency is quire thick and oily feeling though which is where im taking off a star- after a few days I started to break out on my cheeks because this stuff really will clog your face up and not let it breathe. And I’m saying that after only using the barest amount I could, only on red areas. On the positive side, I feel like the consistency really helps if you are going more for a glass skin look as well as a more no-makeup natural look. Although I used the barest amt, I did just essentially use this as foundation/concealer to even my complexion and only add concealer to my eye bags. Made me feel pretty good about my skim, until I started breaking out of course. Use with caution and moderation if you have sensitive and/or oily skin type! One last comment is the color: I do have quite light skin tone and when I swatched it on my hand I got worried because it did oxidize to a darker tone that was not very fitting. However light application on the face turned out fine. I do still feel like this more targeted for slightly darker skin tones so keep that in mind if you are super pale so you aren’t taken by surprise!

My best practices are to apply the color correcting treatment immediately after your moisturizer before it’s dried down. Sometimes I even apply an oil after my moisturizer so the Dr Jart’s blends out even easier. Don’t overdo it. You can easily apply too much and you’ll be blending it in forever Be sure to place a small dab in each area you want to reduce the appearance of redness and then blend it out with your fingers. Because I use it as a spot treatment I always follow with an SPF all over my face and typically choose something with a glow and tint to keep my face looking luminous as the finish on the color correcting treatment is quite matte. It’s very effective and a jar will last you a long time if you don’t over apply haha. Got this after hearing the rave reviews for ages. I work at a cafe and basically have given up on wearing makeup there because it gets so hot with the ovens in the back and in general. Decided to get this thinking this would even out my skin without wearing actual makeup (I’m pale with yellow- neutral undertones, flush very easily and mild acne with lots of redness). Tried it this morning before work and here’s what happened:- applied a few dots to one cheek and began to rub in- turned from green to beige as it said it would- immediately noticed the beige was closer to orange but though just needed to really be rubbed in- after doing both cheeks and blending heavily down my neck it looked like a bad 2000’s foundation, not to mention it felt shockingly heavy on ... MoreGot this after hearing the rave reviews for ages. Is it worth the price? Probably not. Does it do what it's supposed to? Kinda...It eliminates some redness but didn't get rid of all the redness on my cheeks no matter how much I applied. Absolutely do not put it over the areas you don't have redness. I was experimenting and applied the product all over my face in a small amount and I turned yellow. So don't go beyond your red areas.I tried it multiple times to see how I could make it work and it works a lot better with a thick moisturizer under.Also wash your hands thoroughly after using it and don't let anything touch your face or else it will stain yellow. If redness is your main skin concern you will love this product. Not only do I have redness across my face but I turn red/flush when I feel any emotion and it’s very embarrassing. So far I’ve been wearing foundation to cover it up as tinted moisturizers don’t do the trick. I got this and omg it looks weird for the first minute but after my skin settled from the rubbing, my face had almost no redness at all! Most importantly I sell to customers on zoom and this has saved me from embarrassing myself on camera. Even at the gym and doing other activities where I turn red, the redness is gone. It really makes a difference.This is not a moisturizer or makeup substitute. I do not layer this with foundation. I have been waiting for this to be available in Sephora. Finally! Decided to get the small version first. Good call. It doesn't have much of a scent if at all, but it does smell fresh and a little herbal. At first I was extremely confused as to how the green tint would transform but WOW it matches my pale skin perfectly. I have oily/combo skin and it doesn't make me any oilier, it actually helps to control my oil. This treatment really does even out the skin tone. It's very light coverage but just enough so that you feel a bit more confident. It can easily be layered to add more coverage without feeling heavy.
