I’ve tried UK Size 8 1460 (made overseas) in Dr Martens stores and they are vast - I would need a seriously thick insole to make them fit.So I bought UK Size 7.The left boot is perfect - my foot isn’t sliding around inside, while there’s plenty of wriggle room for my toes.The right boot is similar - only my toes touch the inside of the toe cap as I walk - despite my big toe having 1cm of clearance to the end when standing. There is a slight difference in the profile of the toecap between the two boots.I’ve tried several different lacing patterns and tying them tighter/looser, but it still happens.

Genuine Doc Martens - comfy, sturdy, trendy. Love the Matt black finish. These boots are for wear everyday, every situation. My last pair lasted 20 years and only reason don’t have them is cos got mouldy in my mouldy rental house. Otherwise I’d still be wearing them! Hope to have these for the next 30+ years! Good wide fit for my bunions too….

I saw a pair of these in the mall in Oxford and wanted them on sight. Didn’t think I’d see them again until the Doc Martin site showed up magically— on FB, maybe? I’m an old man but have gotten surprising compliments. The sizing is a bit tight for me, but hopefully, they’ll loosen a bit with wear. The sizing is said to be 10/11; I wear a US 10.5 D that varies up or down a bit with shoes. Online, someone commented they run large. That said, I love them.

Love these Docs, and because they’re Nappas instead of the OG (they look the same), you don’t have to wreck your feet breaking them in. Fit perfect on the first wear. Size down per Doc Marten’s guidance to get your correct size. Some people complained that delivery takes too long but that wasn’t my experience. They were shipped and delivered really quickly. No complaints at all.
I love my new boots. I’ve bought them for the winter so I haven’t worn them yet. They look gorgeous. The colour is perfect. Feel comfortable. I bought my first DM shoes last year. They are amazing. Still look brand new even though I wore them in all weather conditions.
It's been a 25 year wait for my very own pair. I absolutely love them. I've received lots of compliments on the colour. Obviously there's the initial rubbing due to breaking in, but they'll soon be like slippers. I suggest anyone getting a pair to go slightly bigger to accommodate a thin pair of socks next to skin, plus a thicker pair on top. I've had a couple of sores around the top, but no blisters. They're breaking in nicely with a good seam forming across the top of the toes. I'm using Wonder Balsalm to keep them watertight. I'm only sorry I had to wait so long to buy a pair!
These Nappa Doc Martens are the comfiest Docs ever. The leather is soft, and they are comfortable enough to wear all day without any break-in period that is usually necessary with thicker leather Docs.Such a joy to wear. They don't scuff easily, and they aren't too heavy on the foot. Very well made. I'd definitely purchase again, although don't expect they'll need replacing for a great many years.I like to spice mine up with different laces and ribbons.
Nice boot, love the softer leather. Don't be confused like I was though about Myer saying it is a women's boot ('Gender: Women') it is unisex, written on the box. This is important as the UNISEX boots require you to size down/slightly smaller. I have a very narrow women's 7.5AU/38.5EU and got these in UK 5 like my other standard 1460s.I ended up returning for the women's boot I was after:the Pascal Virginias (also soft leather, but slight dimpled/textured) the Pascals hug the ankle and my narrow foot like a sock almost, have a more feminine, angular heel and do NOT need you to size down (I wish they did a UK 5.5 but I had to get a 6)Both very comfy and flattering but for me, the Pascals moreso :)
This is the second pair of Nappa leather Docs I have owned. I love the 1460 Nappa leather boot, however, I have noticed a slight difference in the properties of the leather.These pair of Nappa leatehr boots seam to me to have more of a 'rubberized' exterior which I found makes a loud 'creaking' noise when flexed as I walk or move my feet about.I'm not 100% sure the coating on the leather is the cause or not.The 'creaking' noise is loud enough that co-workers near me commented how they could hear my boots creak as I nervously bounced my knee t my desk.I tell myself the noise will stop once the leather 'weathers' or 'breaks in'. I'll give it some time to wear probably and perhaps the noisy boots will quiet.

If I had ordered a "WOMENS" boot (which was not available in this boot) it would have been a size bigger than my usual size. What the heck? In other words: UNISEX size for me would have been an 8. WOMENS size would be a 9. There was nowhere on the website that explained or mentioned this.
