I saw these boots one day in the store and another customer got to the box before I did. I saw her try them on and I was hoping she would put them back on the shelf but she didn’t :( Needless to say I had to have them after seeing how cute they looked in person. So i ordered them online. I’m usually a size 6.5 but bought a 6 since someone suggested sizing down a half size. The pebbled looking leather is very soft. The boots themselves are very comfortable and required no breaking in period. I worked them for 8 hours straight the first time and no blisters or pain. I love the black on black color scheme!!! Very very happy with my purchase!

Although these are the basic style, I find these to fit me better than all the others. Being a biologically born woman, with UK size 6 feet [39eu] ,I find Doctor Martens to fit overly large yet if I were to size down to a UK size 5 they are too short in length [toes pressing against the end of the boots]. This style however fits perfectly in the UK size 6. The leather is nice and soft as opposed to that awful hard rubberised leather that Dr Martens use sometimes. The colour is interesting. I would love to see more colours for the taller length boots of this style. I own the mid height version and the calf length version [can never remember their titles]. These boots are actually comfortable!

Buttery soft leather. Lovely toffee colour (a shade I've been looking for some time for) Super comfortable straight out of box. I'm a small narrow size 3uk (Nike 2.3uk) and for me, this size fits really well with a mid weight sock. Yes they are a considered price but with the help of Klarna, makes this footwear achievable. I've always wanted DM's years ago but there was only the black or oxblood colours then. Wore them on a full days shopping straight out of box and my feet did not suffer one bit. Nice and warm, happy feet on a horrible wet, cold day in town.

These are beautiful boots! I really love the soft Virginia leather. It’s so much gentler to break in than the standard smooth leather. I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 because I felt that the color was a bit washed out in the website photos. In person, this is a vibrant warm-toned purple. Most of my lavender clothing and accessories are more blue-tinted than this Lilac color. Photo with my nails for reference! I’m keeping them because they’re cute, but it is a difficult color to match. I’ll probably be wearing them with all black instead of with other shades of purple. In comparison with my 10 year old smooth 1460s, these are WAY WAY more comfortable straight out of the box. I’m hoping these will be just as durable, and I’ll have them for a really long time! :)
I've worn these boots indoors, several hours at a time, for a few weeks since receiving them. They were relatively comfortable from the very beginning but I would not recommend wearing them out for a full day without breaking them in first. I have a large forefoot and narrow ankles, so for me, there were initially hotspots around the forefoot. As Dr Martens fit large, I went a full size down from what I would wear with Nike brand running shoes (from US W8 to US W7). They're quite slimming at the ankles because there is no taping around the ankle like the original 1460 boot.I cannot speak to the durability of the boots as I have yet to wear them outside.
My first pair of Doc Martens, I'd heard they're really hard to break in or super uncomfortable at first, but I was pleasantly surprised. They don't come in half sizes, so I ordered 8 instead of my usual 8.5 in footwear, but they feel okay. It'll take some time to really make them feel like mine, but they don't feel awful either! I might manually stretch out the toebox on my right foot a bit using the water/freezer method, but aside from that they don't need much tweaking other than regular use. They seem like they're super good quality, I feel like they'll last for years. The black monochrome look is really nice, they look really nice.
As a longtime Doc Marten buyer and devotee, as in thirty-five years, I ordered this pair and two other styles of light pink Doc Martens, for my daughter and myself, after seeing ads for them online. They fit very oddly and are now made of a cheap material that creases and wrinkles with every movement. I thoroughly felt as though they’d tear in a week. Off the three pairs went, back to the company. Per Doc Martens’ return policy (something I’d never become acquainted with since I knew the type and quality of the boot I was getting), I had to pay $8 per pair to ship them back. So, I paid $24 to find out that the boots I ordered, from a company I can no longer trust to sell quality footwear, had to be returned and the kicker is that the returns aren’t processed for ... Do better Doc Martens. Until then, buyer beware.
If I didn’t order these directly from the doc martens website, I would have assumed that I received cheap knockoffs. The leather was thin, fragile, and the edges were unfinished. There was no seam along the top of the boot and tongue. Just a rough cut that was unsealed, crooked, and fraying. I returned these immediately and can’t believe that I was charged $7 to return them. I can’t believe the cost of these. I own many pairs of docs and have anyways thought that the quality was well worth the higher price point. I’m not sure what has happened to this brand, but I no longer feel that there is any quality or value to these boots. I am a DM fan & have been for years. When I got my first pair of 1460 pascals in the Virgina ( soft leather ) I was 😍 they are so soft, no break in required & they just mold to your foot like butter asap.Plus they look amazing. Then a month or so ago , the new colors came out, & the Muted Olive was one, I was in love. I love anything in the Army/ Olive green color family. It was the color I was waiting for. I jumped up & ordered them ASAP! Even paid expedited shipping just to get them as quickly as possible. They are gorgeous! The color is perfect. It was even better in person. And in the soft Virginia leather, heaven! Every time I wear them I get tons of compliments. Thanks DM again for making yet again my favorite pair of boots. ! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I always try to purchase the Pascal Virginia leather Doc Martens If they have the color that I want, there really is no break in.. of course you need to condition these if you want them to last 30 year's Just as you would any other leather shoe. Although I will sometimes purchase the smooth leather which to me the sides always feel plasticky, although they are genuine leather I just find that they don't soak in the leather conditioners well because of the way it's treated. I'm normally with all my dogs will put an adhesive moleskin on the bridge above your toes usually the same in the beginning is uncomfortable. But I have found that these Pascal Virginia's usually I can just put on a pair of socks and they're very comfortable. I purchased the ash taupe which is ... I'm normally with all my dogs will put an adhesive moleskin on the bridge above your toes usually the same in the beginning is uncomfortable. But I have found that these Pascal Virginia's usually I can just put on a pair of socks and they're very comfortable. I purchased the ash taupe which is really called antique taupe And it is a tad bit darker than shown on the screen. The beige parchment is more of a bisque tinged yellowish cream. I also bought the pine Green, the thrift pink which is a dusty pink. I also purchased the teal blue, the white Virginia and also the hot pink Virginia and the khaki green. I've been told that the peach beige is more like a muted pink than a peach. Also as it's women's sizing it's made to fit a woman's foot so you can buy your true size, I can wear either a nine or 10, I usually size up a half inch to a whole size. If you're buying unisex Doc Martens however I recommend sizing down as they're made to fit a man's foot and you usually have to purchase Doc Marten insoles to fill up the shoe. Which is an added expense and they tend to look really big on your foot. Believe me I have enough size 10 unisex Doc Martens and I regret not sizing down. I also recommend buying moleskin by the roll and you can put them inside the on heel and the seam at the base of the shoelaces on the smooth leather that's very stif. You can purchase off Amazon these gel heel covers for planters but they cover your heel and your ankles when you're trying to break in smooth leather docs. Oh so you can put Wonder balsam that Doc Marten's sells inside the boot leave it overnight before attempting to put the moleskin. And you can shove things to stretch out the bridge so it's not pressing at the base of the shoelaces.
