These Oxfords are fantastic. They hold the craftsmanship, look, and fit of the Made in England Dr Martens I loved as a teenager. The fit is true to size. That being said, being a half size normally I sized up and am glad I did.I put inexpensive foam insoles in and the small amount of space I needed filled ended up being a perfect fit. They are super comfortable. Docs always have a break in period and can feel stiff if you aren't used to wearing this kind of shoe.I love the color. It should be noted that it is definately not "grey". It is a lustery gorgeous black. It's great that two sets of laces are included. The classic yellow laces look sharp.

I had Docs in the late 90s and now I have these, which I wear to work! I sized down and the fit great, they are super comfy, and of course they are very well made. The yellow laces are cool, but if you think they're too much they send a second pair of dark brown laces, too. Go for it!

This is my third pair of docs, having bought two pairs of boots I thought I’d get these for the office. I had to send the first pair back as they were a bit big, I usually get a 5 but a 4 fit perfectly! You do have to lace them up tight so that your heels don’t slip out. I was expecting to have to break these in but they’ve been so comfy from the first wear, no blisters! I’m in love

I'm so happy I bought these, I have had doc boots before and was aware of the breaking in period, which wasn't too long with these, I got some rubber heel guards that helped initially. Do not size up or down, just exact size. Lovely slightly chunky sole I wouldn't exactly say platform. I got these for work as sick of spending £30 a quarter of rubbish black shoes that's don't last and I'm so delighted with the look and comfort. I actually even wear on days off with almost every outfit! Such a good investment buy!
Shoes themselves are great for those who know doc martens you would know. For those that don’t very classy shoe high quality. Takes a while to break them in but pain is beauty. Needed them in time for the end of the week the next day delivery came in handy
They are surprisingly comfortable and not that heavy . I’ve had docs long time ago and I have to have a pair now that I’m in my 50’s . It will be great this fall with some jeans . And perfect true to size .
My feet are not comfortable. However, my feet can breath better. The soles are so glued hard to the bottom of the shoes. I like removable soles so I can put it over the top of arch support. The lack of cushion padding is what makes my feet pound hard when I walk on hard surfaces.Thank you
First off, let me be clear that I love these shoes. They are absolutely lovely, and my toes love them for their roomy toe box! However, like most doc marten reviews, sizing is confusing. Unless this is men's sizing, I don't find the sizing is true. I typically wear a 9.5 UK women's, but was advised to go to a 9. I felt they were still big, to the point that I want to return this and get an 8 instead. I thought I could make it work with insoles, but I'm not sure it will be worth the effort trying to make them comfortable rather than getting a smaller size.
In theory these shoes are amazing but i genuinely feel like i'm wearing straight-up clown shoes. The base is extremely wide and actually difficult to walk in. They're comfortable on the insole and the leather is of decent quality but the style is confusing and unflattering. Not sure if this is universal for docs or exclusive to the bex but I'm a bit put-off from purchasing the brand in future and will be returning.
dr martens in general are just great, and this is no exception. the toughness of the shoe will get better after a while. one thing is that if you wear insoles, sizing up a bit would be wise
