I ordered a size down as reviews suggested and discovered it was too small. I ordered my regular size 8 and it fit like a glove. I was a little concerned because I purchased these for a trip with a lot of walking and found that the boots quality leather was stiff. I put on a pair of wool socks and wore them around the house for two days before I left for my trip. I’m excited to say that I didn’t get blisters or tired feet which I expected since it is a heavy boot. I also walked in the snow and ice and it definitely was slip resistant and I fall all the time on ice so I am extremely satisfied with these Chelsea boots in black! Jung’s my narrow ankles perfectly! Very cool looking.

Lovely take in the classic DM Chelsea boot. Only worn a couple of times and although initially uncomfortable it didn't take too.long to start breaking them in to where that are now comfortable. I'm a size 10 and they fit true to size. Can't really comment on whether or not the sole is truly more slip resistant or not yet but they do look and feel a lot more longer lasting that the original soles. Not entirely convinced on the feel and finish of the leather yet, maybe just down to my taste. They don't quite have the same finish to my Chelsea boots I had when I was still at school some 15+ years ago which my mum still wears. Shame they got rid of the stamped logo on the heel.

Boots are comfortable straight out of the box, you can feel the cushioning in the sole very well. Being a size 13 and these being my first Docs I was worried about getting it wrong. They are very easy to pull on and go well with casual as well as work wear. There was slight rubbing on my little toe as I got used to them, but after a few days it was fine as there is good space in the shoe too so feet don't feel restricted. Some people gawp at the price but they are a fantastic investment, the quality is excellent and is very simplistic but stylish. Would definitely recommend these!

Took me about 40+ hours of wearing to officially break them in… now they’re super comfy, stylish and easy to take care of. I wore them for 10 straight hours my first day and was in so much pain, it was hard to walk. Getting those hydro seal heal bandages really helped with the healing process and added an additional layer between me and the boot. Wear thick socks too!! When I was not wearing them, I stuck the venti size acrylic Starbucks cups in the shoes to stretch the leather, to make it easier for me to slide my feet in the next time I wore them. Got that tip from a friend who has lots of Docs, and it definitely helped!!Now it’s been about a month since I’ve had them and they’re super comfy, easier to take on and off. I love them. Totally love my boots, they are just really hard to take on and off! Definitely buying a shoe horn. For now I just have to have help pulling them off. I wear a women’s 9.5 and bought a 10, they fit well once they’re on. I’d heard to size up for these ones. For other docs like the generic 1460s I sized down to a 9, and those also fit perfectly. I don’t get blisters from these shoes like most people complain about. I’m really hoping the strap on the heel holds up because otherwise I won’t be able to wear these boots! And I love the look so I hope I can wear them a long time. The platform is barely noticeable once they’re on your feet, I don’t have any difficulty driving with these.
I ALMOST RETURNED THESE, because they were so hard to get on I thought I had to order a size up but then checking online, that seems to be a thing. When I got my feet in the shoes, they’re snug like any new boot but I bought some double doc socks (which I highly recommend if you buy these) and they have helped “stretch” them out comfortably. I’ve worn them about a week straight now to work and just out and they’re so comfy! I have super flat feet and they kinda hurt at the end of the day but the pain isn’t horrible like with other shoes so I ordered the insoles :). I get daily compliments on these shoes and definitely change the outfit for the better. They’re true to size once you get them on and would highly recommend!
I love these Dr. Martens so much. I was looking for some chunky boots that added some height to my 5'3 frame and these fit the bill! I read some other reviews that said they run narrow so because I have slightly wide feet and always have issues with shoes squeezing my feet, I sized up from my original size ) to a 9 but the 9s were huge. My feet were swimming in them so I returned them for my regular size 8 and they fit perfect with some extra room. If you have narrow feet, I think sizing down one size would be best. I've only worn them a handful of times and although these are comfortable, they give me blisters on my heels so now I just wear bandaids to prevent blisters. I like these boots so far! Only worn them around the house twice. The platform is a nice height, about 2 inches. The bottoms seem very grippy. The leather is stiff so far, but starting to get softer. The soles are hard, so I may get an insole or I may wait and see if they wear in. I'm usually a size 6 women's so I ordered a size 6 women's and it's a little big but I like my boots big. I don't know if I should have ordered down but this is my first pair of nice leather boots, so we'll see how they wear. I have the Jadon boots and the mary janes and I absolutely love both, but I’m really disappointed in the quality of my Chelsea boots. I’ve only had them for a few weeks now and after a few wears they’re already so scuffed all over. Even the fabric on the sides look so snagged and ratty. They look like they’ve been worn for years and I’ve really only worn them a handful of times. Disappointed because I was looking forward to wearing them in school but they look so tattered I feel like they kind of ruin my outfits. They’re really comfortable too, the most comfortable doc martens I own, which makes the poor quality even more disappointing.
