I am so pleased with the Dr Martens comb boots that this is my second pair I've ordered. They are great for smart and casual occasions alike, depending on what you wear with them. Personally I like mine scuffed up a bit for that worn look but you can smarten them up with a bit of dubbin to bring back the shine.I've worn them in all weathers, wind, rain and shine and they have stood the test. I've worn them on muddy dog walks and they have never let water in as my feet have been bone dry.Probably the best thing about them isn't just their versatility but that the leather is softer than that of the 1460 Docs, if you've ever owned a pair you will know what I mean! I got this on a sale for $75. It was my first Dr. Martens and needed a pair of boots for my trip to Scotland during the cold January month. The sizing was spot on and the fit was perfect. Dr. Martens's shoes really are unique in how they feel inside. They look uncomfortable but they are quite in fact one of the most comfortable shoes I've worn, walking a couple of miles per day. These are now one of my go-to shoes, especially for colder months. Makes it even more amazing that I got them at nearly 60% of the full price.

I bought a pair of these back in 1998 to wear on my new Harley because I didn't want to spend twice as much for Harley branded boots. It turns out they were the most comfortable boots or shoes I had ever worn. I wore them for 23 years before I had reconstructive foot surgery which changed the size of my feet.I've been wearing other Doc martens in low-cut and semi half boots but the other day I saw these bottom and I have no regrets whatsoever.

I fell in love with these shoes the first time I saw them at another store and they sold out. Found them here at DSW for like $25 dollars cheaper, and I was super excited since I never had a pair of Docs before. I got them and they fit length wise but they are huge in the top of the foot, and I think I look funny. I would exchange them for a size smaller but alas they are sold out of them. Now I'm trying to decide if I want to return them. I'm kinda bummed.
I bought these to wear to a P!nk concert. I threaded pink satin laces in them and got so many compliments. Not to mention, they seem really well made. Between taking public transportation and the concert being in a stadium, I probably took 15,000 steps that night, and there was NO pain. On my first time wearing them! These are fantastic, and I am buying men's shoes as often as possible from here on out. They're wider than women's and work great for my bunion situation.
I have wide feet and bunions. That said, I was lucky enough to be able to try on my daughter’s size 7 and her daughter’s size 9 Docs. Width was great and I sorted out my size (8) easily by comparing both pairs. They’re really comfortable though I haven’t quite figured out if I can cram in my arthritis inserts. So far I don’t seem to need them. Anyhow, I’m now a cool grandma thanks to my Docs.
These have always been to me a staple in music, art, alternative lifestyles. They are also a classic brand that has an iconic following. I came in looking for work shoes, and left with full lace combat boots…at a fantastic price and then got an additional 20% off for signing up for rewards. One of the coolest and MOST comfortable boots to own, I regret nothing about me impulse purchase and have since bought another pair.
These were very good, very solidly made, actually comfortable too. I used to have a pair of docs similar to these with this amazing cushioning inside that were the best pair of shoes I owned... Have been looking for a suitable replacement ever since those shoes needed retiring (wore them into oblivion). These have slightly less padding on the inside but are much more comfortable than other pairs of docs I've tried so I'm quite pleased if still sad I can't find the exact same pair I used to have. Only thing I wish was different on these was that the top two rivets for lacing were hooks instead--makes it so much easier to get these on and off, as it is I have to fuss around with the laces for five minutes to get them on and off properly.
I can’t believe how comfortable these were right out of the box. I’m used to a long breaking in period for Docs and some inevitable blisters for the first few wears. Not the case with these, they feel like a well worn but sturdy boot. They also feel like a wide width, perfect for my D/E feet. 10/10 will probably buy a second pair in brown.
Other reviews said these run really large, but I didn't find that to be the case. I am usually a 9 with wide-ish feet. I always get 9s in docs, and they're roomy, but 8s are too narrow for me. This one followed suit, and fit similar to the other two pairs of docs I currently have. But they are pretty stiff the first few wears, and the foot bed is also kind of hard. I bought the doc brand inserts to add a little more cushion to the soles and that made a HUGE difference. I left the original soles in, and just put the doc inserts on top, and these are pretty comfortable now. I will say that the way this leather is, any bump or scratch or nick WILL leave a mark. I think it's the style, for them to get "weathered" and have that distressed look. But if you want a more ... MoreOther reviews said these run really large, but I didn't find that to be the case. Also, they aren't really a feminine boot - they are, like most docs, on the bigger/clunkier side - but I happen to like that style and think they look really nice, and are $60 cheaper than most other docs!
