Being able to alter both of the ankle straps just adds to the sumptuous comfort.The sole is the perfect height and the stitching is a wicked design detail.Style certainly doesn’t compromise comfort.They will be perfect with any outfit, day or night.I live all winter in my doc boots/shoes, now I’ll live all summer in my gorgeous/ comfortable doc sandals. First time buying dr martens sandals - best decision ever! I bought these based on other reviews for wider feet, and was not disappointed. They fit perfectly, minimal rubbing and look amazing too. I have been able to wear them for long periods from word go.Some reviews commented about them being quite heavy, and while they are heavier than most sandals I’ve tried in the past, I haven’t found them hard to walk in, or uncomfortable. They just feel super good quality.Love my new doc sandals, I reckon they will last me for years to come!! :) worth every penny!!

I am terribly disappointed!I have literally worn these shoes for 5 hours on one occasion and the leather straps on the right foot (around the toe area) have become so loose that my foot slides around the shoe.I don’t have big feet (I’d say they are roughly the same size and not wide either) so I don’t know what would cause this to happen apart from a fault with the shoe?They were so comfy and fine to start with but now my foot moves around too much to wear that I can’t wear them again.I really wouldn’t expect this from shoes of this price. A little bit of “give” yes, but not to the point i can no longer wear my shoes after only having them on my feet for 5 hours. Reminds me of a cheap throw away shoe quality wise and certainly not a shoe I’d pay over 100 pounds for

Really comfy sandals, i knew they would be as I’ve the same pair in white also, and also my daughter has them in black as well. I love them. Make me that little bit taller without wearing heels as well.I’m a 4 1/2 , but went for the 5 and fit perfectly, i like a bit of room in my shoes, these are true to size , and i easily tightened them up with the buckles as my feet are quite narrow.I’ve dashed around doing shopping, school runs, and days out and I’ve never had a problem with blisters or any discomfort.My daughter took a few wears on hers, she did get a blister from hers, but she had worn hers 1st time all day on her feet at work, but now she also loves hers and walks our dog in them with no issues or discomfort.
Only 4 stars as I am not loving the new type of leather being used. My favorite sandal was the original Clarissa from years back that was made from solid dyed thick leather, no stitching. Breaking in so far has been Achilles’ tendon, added a bandage to inside of strap and irritation issue solved. I like the black buckles. I wear size 6 1/2 to 7, purchased ladies US6 and they fit perfectly, I have medium width feet, a wide foot might have issues with front foot strap as not adjustable and I don’t feel this type of leather is going to soften up or stretch. I am 5’2” and love the extra height I get with these!
I cannot say enough good things about these sandals. I took a chance shortly after buying them & wore them for a 3 day NY trip & they were a dream. No soreness, rubbing or a single blister after lots of hot summer walking. I’m usually a size 9.5-10 with fairly wide feet. I got a 9 & they fit perfectly with both straps on the tightest setting. These are comfortable barefoot, with socks or tights. I paid full price for these & I’m not even annoyed when they go on sale. This is a good shoe. I’ll agree with everyone else too, about how surprisingly lightweight they feel, given their size.Highly recommend!
Love docs, love wearing these and hope they last a long time.Yes, there’s a bit of soreness around ankle straps and toe straps where the leather is initially sharp and rubs, but I find a bit of Vaseline on these areas of your foot helps with this!The soles themselves are really comfy to walk in, I don’t find there’s an issue with heaviness of the shoe. If you’re used to wearing docs then it won’t be an issue for you.Negatives:The shoes were a bit wonky? One of them, the sole isn’t flat - it’s a bit twisted - and you can feel it when you’re wearing it and see it if you hold the shoe up. On the other, the silhouette of the sole isn’t the same as you look down on both of the shoes together, the side of the sole bulges out. Been wanting some Doc sandals for a while and finally opted for the Gryphon Quad. Stylish and on trend, and look amazing on food but wow they are heavy! Don’t feel the weight once walking but I imagine after a long day of walking the extra weight would tell on tired legs/feet. So far ive worn them twice and they frankly have ripped my feet to shreds and blistered in numerous places badly. Im currently wearing with socks to break them in lol!! Im a 6/39 and these fit true to size in a 6 although I have a very narrow foot and have had to tighten middle strap. the front strap is gaping slightly and has no way of adjusting and this is where the rubbing is happening on my right foot as my little toe is lifting as I walk, will probably ease once leather softens. Very nice looking leather, can tell the quality. Buckles don't rub and are a nice dull gold type colour that just fades into the background. Look great with jeans or dressed, just hope I can break them in by June for mu holidays.
I have wide feet and hate buying no shoes as my feet blister easily. I've never actually owned a pair of Dr Martens before (shocking I know!) but love the style of these sandals but wasn't sure if I could justify spending the money. I'm so glad I did! These sandals are simply amazing! You can see the quality in them the moment I took them out of the box. When wearing the sandals I feel like I'm walking on air! And the great thing is I can adjust the buckles to find the perfect fit for my wide feet. If your doubting whether to purchase them or not - I'd say 100% just buy them! You won't be disappointed.
