These were my first pair of Docs so I actually went into the Dr Martens store in SoHo to try on almost every single pair they had bc all the reviews on sizing seem to vary by shoe style. I had always wanted docs in the 90s (I was in middle school and HS) but couldn’t afford them back in the day. I’m ecstatic that I can feed my inner 90s child via these boots! The pictures do not do them justice. They are legitimately beautiful and I do not regret paying full price for them! I live in NYC and know I’ll get a ton of wear from them.

These boots are very comfortable. Soft leather and well made. Perfect for me since I’m short and I love a little platform. They run big, so if you’re in between sizes definitely size down. I’m a 6.5 and based off my measurements and the sizing guide I ordered a 6 and they fit perfectly! I get a lot of compliments when I wear these. I also have a problem with my ankle and these provide enough support and help with the pain. I’m glad it has a zipper too! Overall I’m very satisfied and happy I purchased these boots! They’re definitely made for walking !

This is my first pair of dr martens boots (I have some other pairs of loafers), and these are much easier to get on and easier to break in than their regular “harder leather” shoes. I love the zipper on the side that makes them a breeze to put on. They definitely fit true to size for me (I’m normally a true size 8 in all other shoes and ordered size 8 in these boots). I just wish that my work office didn’t have stupid flooring that makes even the slightest rubber sole sound like those squeaky boots from that one episode of SpongeBob, so unfortunately I can’t really wear these to work, at least not until I wear down the soles more. But I love them and I know they’ll last me a long time, I don’t ever plan to get rid of them!!

I've always had an issue with Docs being huge around my ankle, so having one that fits tightly and gives a sleeker look is so great! And I absolutely love the platform. Not so high that it's a trip risk, and I can tromp around everywhere in it. Driving comfortably took a week but it's no problem now.I really wish there were half sizes because it does seem to me to run about a half size too big. If you're a true half size, these will probably fit you well, but they're roomy on me. I tried a size down and it was definitely too small, so this roomy size is the correct one. Absolutely love love love them! Fit true to size. Was hopeful that due to the “softer leather” they would be easier to get over the “breaking in” stage that has always been a part of “doc life”! Some success with this, they have not been as foot shredding as previous docs … that said I am currently sporting blister plasters on both heels. Hey it is what it is, and what it is, is worth it. Love the lift the platform sole gives and will be wearing them with EVERYTHING (well as soon as I’m over the blisters 🤣)
I’m absolutely gutted. After 4 weeks of very light use, the leather has scratched in places without me even noticing it happening. The grey finish has come off to reveal white underneath. Such a shame as they’re so comfy. I love the side zip and soft leather, but they’re way too delicate for such an expensive boot. I’m told that they can get wear and tear over time, but 4 weeks is no time at all. I believe that this goes against consumer rights as they’re not fit for purpose. Stick to the tougher leather folks. Very disappointed.

I'm 5'0 and having any height is wonderful. These didn't look too weird either. Sometimes when I wear platform shoes, it's comical (think circus performer on stilts).The Jadon Pisa leather is softer, the foot bed is more comfortable and the weight is lighter. The leather scuffs easily and is more matte compared to the Jadon boot. I purchased a size 6 and it fits nicely. With med weight socks (so like a pair of stance socks), it's perfect. At first, I was going to keep the Jadon boot because at $170, I just didn't want my boots to be scuffed and look worn down too quickly. I wanted to keep them looking polished.I decided to wear the Jadon boots outside and it was an eye opener. I found myself dragging my feet because they were so heavy. The boot was so inflexible and the part where the tongue meets the body of the boot jabbed and rubbed at my ankles so much that I was sore the next day.In the end, I switched to the softer, but easily scuffed Jadon Pisa Platform. I could see myself avoiding wearing the bricks and if I'm going to spend this much, I want to be able to happily wear these all the time.
I'm a true 6.5 so I purchased the 7W/5M. It's pretty loose when worn around footbed (more wide) but not unbearable if worn with high boot socks and tied all the way to the top. It's a well structured boot, clunky heel, and the leather is nice and soft. I have walked in these for several hours and fortunately no blisters. I didn't get a chance to try a 6 but I know in normal boots 6 will not fit me and is tight around the toes. I gave it one less star because my pair shipped with a very strong stinky scent, almost like orange cleaning solution. It looked like it was a return but was probably not worn outside. Not a deal breaker since I kept it but probably worth going into the store to try before you purchase online.
I purchased these in a woman’s 8. I am a true 7.5 but with wide feet. I also have a bunion. These boots get a bit narrow at the top which is why I’m glad I sized up. I can feel my pink toes right before the edge of the lateral side of the boot. I guarantee if I sized down my feet would be forced into a pointed position which is not good for my bunion. I have not walked around for long in these but they are comfortable just put on. I don’t feel any part that would run against my skin when walking but will find out with a long walk and will update. I really was contemplating sizing down but I’m definitely glad I sized up. If you have wide feet and half size, you’re probably better off sizing up.

Usually get 5 in docks, but the 5 in these was Huge in terms of excess leather over the instep and when trying to lace tight, got the waves going here that just looked terrible. I do not want to put extra insoles that will make my heels go up, or wear double, or thick socks forever, never have. The size 4 - first pair, okisch, but one zip slipping and loose threads hanging. Next pair of 4's, so tight, completely crushing my big toe sideways .... as if made for different style. Did try another pair of 4's in store, but that was to short for my foot.
