This is a great product if you are on low sodium (salt) diet. This is a great salt substitute in cooking, taste just like salt, no after taste, and 1/3 of sodium then salt. Have used it in making homemade lunch meats, cuts down on sodium. If I use this salt every day, it seems to give me just enough potassium (and less sodium, of course) to stave off most of the calf and foot cramps I suffered with at night for many years. Also drink mineral enriched water and take mineral supplements, but this really made the significant difference. Taste is a little different according to my husband, but I don't notice it. Works out great!!!

This is very tasty with lower sodium and higher potassium without and metallic foreground or background taste. Many people get too much sodium and not enough potassium in our modern diet. This, used on home-cooked, scratch-made. plant-based food (reducing all sources of processed food) is the key to healing daily life.. ++cj

I bought this because I'm a little worried about salt intake. I tried Dr. Murray's PerfeKt Sea Salt on a piece of watermelon last night. No noticeable difference (for me) from regular table salt. I think this is a good alternative for people who care about how much salt they are eating. If it gives me a little peace of mind, then it is worth it to me.
I was surprised that this does still give a salty flavor to food even though it’s lower in sodium. I sometimes like a salty taste but want to be careful with my sodium content. I also got some for my mom. It’s a quality product for those wanting to watch their sodium, but still be able to use some salt.
I bought this salt because it's low sodium (it has half the amount of sodium as the lite salt I had been using). There isn't much to say about the flavor -- it tastes like salt. I can't even tell that it's low sodium. There's no weird aftertaste.
Dr. Murray says it comes from the Dead Sea, which Wiki tells us contains a very bitter salt. Dr. Murray also says the same salt -- which, paradoxically, was pleasingly sweet, not bitter -- comes from the ocean. The Dead Sea is most definitely not the ocean, however, no more than Lake Tahoe is the ocean. Dr. Murray does not know anything about this product that would inspire confidence. Now, I'm not suggesting that it is laced with contaminants but after confusing bitter with sweet and the size of the ocean with an inland body of water about the same size as Lake Tahoe, Dr. Murray's representations about this product don't carry much weight.
