Really good frozen pizza with a fresh taste and a crust that doesn't taste like cardboard. Close to the great pizzas we had in Germany. The pizza is small, like the individual ones you tend to get in Europe, and even so, half of one is a decent meal for an older person. When they go on sale, I like to purchase a few for emergency fast meals in the freezer. My go to brand.

There is always one of these in my freezer-when restaurants were closed this was a substitute for a treat. The crust is thin and the cheese is the right amount! Although some frozen pizzas do not taste the greatest, this one is awesome. I have sensitive skin and this pizza never leaves my skin feeling greasy.

These Ristorante frozen pizzas are so good. They’re the only frozen pizzas I’ve tried that I actually like, they actually have good flavour and don’t just taste like cardboard. This flavour in particular is really good. These pizzas cook perfectly and really quickly in the air fryer.

I don't understand the star rating for this product as it is the worst pizza I've ever eaten. My son who eats anything and everything agreed that his was also horrible. Hard biscuity base, sour tomato sauce, oily yet watery liquid and rubbery cheese. Avoid
I only eat frozen pizzas when I don't have time or don't fancy cooking for lunch, but I can honestly say the taste of these pizzas is way better that it's competitors, and better value. It has real mozzarella, real tomatoes and little blobs of basil dressing that really imparts a natural and more "authentic" flavour. No sugar-laden tomato sauce. In fact I only gave them a go after seeing them sold in Italy. The only minus is the base, the texture of which is a little "bisquity", not at all like pizza dough.
So my review of frozen ristorante pizza. Like many others; frozen pizza in my mind resembles the cardboard slices served up with no resembling topping just a mush of gunge on top. And in the day and age of fresh pizza restaurants I was sceptical as I like what I like: thin crispy pizzas. I was surprised at how few of these there are as in variety as usually brands have zillions to dazzle us but I liked there was only 5-7 items. After my initial deliberation between mushroom or cheese I went with cheese. Was happy to see when I took out of the box an even spread of toppings not just dumped the in middle like I've seen. So I followed instructions and popped into oven, I was preparing salad and my kitchen was filled with a baked aroma! Was cooked to perfection ... MoreSo my review of frozen ristorante pizza. So I followed instructions and popped into oven, I was preparing salad and my kitchen was filled with a baked aroma! Was cooked to perfection following the times on the packet (which is a pet hate of mine things that need 5 mins more!) but was crisp, hot, cooked in the time stated. I sliced and served with a fresh green salad, the kids, me and my husband were impressed! The fact it wasn't soggy, the fact the sauce was there but not so much it drips down your face and makes toppings fall off, the cheese was tasty, and the peppers were crunchy. It was a win! And for a family who don't eat frozen pizza the kids asked for another pizza night pollo is our next one!! Thank you for making a tasty delicious item that was a win in my household.
Gluten free pizza normally costs at least triple. 4-5 times a lot of the time! Agree texture is slightly strange- but that?s gluten free. I?ve never had a great GF pizza base texture, apart from in Italy itself! This was good, not chewy, not soggy. I also hate the cheeses/toppings on many own brand GF frozen pizzas. So the fresh, more authentic flavours on this pizza were deliciously refreshing. Thumbs up from my gluten-eating partner too- and he?s been trying gf pizza with me for 6 years! We had with salad. So quick and satisfying. Will definitely be getting some to have in the freezer!
I absolutely LOVE that this is gluten AND lactose free without being VEGAN. Nothing worse than the taste of vegan cheese, and with this pizza I don't have to worry about it! The base goes a little mushy the next day, but it's by far the best out there, and really good on day one. Only sad thing is that it has garlic in so unfortunately with SIBO (low FODMAPs) I can no longer eat these happily, hence the four stars.
Been having these for years, something about the way they cook is so delicious. The ingredients are of a high quality, base isn't too thick and this is a rare frozen pizza that doesn't leave you feeling bloated and stuffed with regret afterwards. Probably a bit too expensive when not on offer but they usually are - maybe if you are willing to pay quite a bit more you can find tastier but these are just the right cost/taste/quality balance. Love them!
Pizza in our house is a treat and as a rule we steer away from frozen pizza. We've tried a few and they tend to be a big disappointment, it looks nothing like the picture, you have to redistribute the toppings and there doesn't seem to be much there, they burn on the outside and are cold in the middle... It leads to a pretty dismal meal time, in my mind. So I was pretty intrigued to have been invited to try a Dr Oetker Ristorante pizza for free with a voucher from BzzAgent.Upon taking the pizza out the packaging my husband commented how much it looked like the picture on the packaging - no need to spread the topping out, no big areas without topping. Huge big slices of cheese and little pieces of fresh tomato dotted evenly all over with dollops of basil pesto - it looked really nice.Just 10 minutes in the oven and the taste was really exceptional. The base was crisp but not brittle or hard to chew, it was a little soft in the middle making it feel like an authentic fresh pizza base. The tomato base didn't overpower the cheese. I particularly liked the fresh tomatoes - they didn't taste as though they'd been frozen at all - and the addition of little drops of basil pesto was delicious. I would normally be tempted to add some sliced salami or extra veg to a mozzarella pizza as they can be quite bland but I wouldn't need to with this one. It was lovely as it was, really fresh tasting. We were both very impressed. If we were having this pizza as a main meal we would need to add salad and fries, garlic bread or wedges - certainly if we were sharing with the kids. I was also concerned with the amount of salt but I guess pizza in general is quite salty. It managed to pack in a lot of flavour and surprised us how fresh it tasted, considering it is frozen. It's certainly changed our perceptions and would be something we would purchase again to have on stand by as a treat. I would recommend this brand to others.
