Dr. Pawpaw Multipurpose Original Balm 9.735 ml Skincare

Odorless, gentle, and long-lasting are some major pluses for people with sensitive skin. This tube has been repurchased many times over the years and I’ve been happy to find it while traveling in different countries. A lifesaver and multipurpose, it’s something I always carry on me ♥️

I have received this as a small gift from a friend, but I do not understand all the good reviews about this product. It’s a really pretty colour, but it blends out to be way tooo sheer and way too oily (not in a hydrating way). The smell is not too strong but it still has a really unpleasant scent to it. I get that it’s a multi use balm, but I can’t imagine putting this on my lip or face without it feeling greasy. It’s affordable, but I think you can just save this money and buy other drugstore products actually worth it and performs well

I tested out the Dr. Pawpaw Original Balm, which is packed with natural ingredients like petrolatum, olive oil, papaya fruit extract, and aloe vera. This multi-purpose balm is great for my dry, irritated skin on my hands. I love the bright yellow tube that's perfect for on-the-go use. The formula is thick and fragrance-free, which is fab for sensitive skin. * Soothes dry, irritated skin * Can be used on lips, cuticles, and hair/eyebrows * Travel-friendly size. * Might be a bit greasy for some * Didn't really do much for my chapped lips

This balm is incredible! It has a thick formula that melts into skin as it is rubbed in. It is deeply moisturizing and nourishing. It leaves a protective barrier on the area it is applied that locks in moisture. This product can be used on the body, face and hair. I prefer applying it to the driest areas on my body, like my lips, cuticles, hands, feet and elbows. I also mix it into my body lotion when my skin is extremely dry. This balm restores the driest and roughest skin quickly. I highly recommend having this balm at all times!

Excellent product

This is an excellent product. I get very dry patches around my lips and this is one of the best products I've used. It is 100% plant based and has no petroleum in it, which for me will often cause maceration. This is an oil based product that absorbs into the skin. A few ways I've used it and loved it: alone after my normal skincare routine, applying lotion (CeraVe) over the top of it to get really deep absorption, and also with a few drops of squalane over the top of it at nighttime. It has not caused any breakouts for me & my skin is quite prone to breaking out. I will definitely be purchasing again.

Fantastic

Absolutely love this lip balm. It’s so comfortable and very long lasting ie: on your lips and the fact you only need a little at a time. It’s not super sticky and nor does it melt and run down your chin like petroleum jelly would. It’s also perfect if you like to sleep with balm on, it lasts all night giving you beautiful lips the next day. I’ve since also bought the coloured versions and the big tube of the original (however the big tube disappointingly doesn’t have the same lip applicator).

Huge rip off! About 1/3 of the amount now!

This is a huge and greedy example of "shrinkflation"! When purchasing the .84 oz tubes (that they used to have until very recently), the company didn't even fill the tube all the way. It was about 1/3 full or less. Now it is in a TINY .33 oz tube, which is also about 1/3 or less full. Of course, the price remains the same. I'm done with this company!

Love this! Using it to replace aquaphor healing ointment

So I strictly use cruelty-free products & that posed a challenge for me when trying to find an aquaphor dupe. During the winter season, my lips get really chapped and this balm works wonders! I got it on sale for ~$4 with tax too. It makes youre lip glisten & look nice and hydrated. It doesn't have any scent or flavor which is good if you have allergies or are looking for something simple. My only complaint is that it doesn't last as long as my chapstick or the aquaphor ointment so I have to reapply often.

Versatile product

Keep this in my bag for using mostly on my hands and lips as it helps moisturise and protect, especially in the colder months.It's a bit like vaseline, but easier to apply than from a tub. Fragrance free, thick balm that helps with chapped lips and dry skin. Can also be used to smooth wayward hairs, such as eyebrows or flyaway hair.

Was drying to lips at first, but I am in love with it now!

I originally bought this product because the Bridgerton makeup artist mentioned the entire cast used it. I was looking for a balm that wouldn't dry out my lips like Burts Bee's and Nivea lip products do (the high concentrations of beeswax are very drying to my lips). I purchased this Original Balm first, and then the Shea butter one. I love them both! However, I was not a fan at first.When I first applied this balm, like many reviews I have seen, it dried my lips out. I love putting a dab on before I use a hand cream or lotion and my hands just soak up both! Unlike some reviews, it doesn't make my hands sticky when combined with the lotion.Yet, it does have a downside. I attend school and have to wear a face mask all day. My lips and chin get really dry because of this, and I was really sad when the PawPaw clung to my mask and not my lips. It was kind of a given with the mask being so close to my face, but I was disappointed.All in all, I have yet to find a better balm that works better than this for me! I'm so happy I purchased it and will be repurchasing. I've recommended it to multiple people, including my mom, who also loves it. She's 52 and finds it's soothing and hides some lines around her lips. This is a great product!
