We are really enjoying our first robot vacuum. The mapping feature is very impressive. If it does pick up a wayward sock it will stop itself and send a notification. Does a great job of cleaning the floors in my house. Easy to set up and easily mapped my house. Good obstacle avoidance and easily navigated around furniture. I mostly use shortcuts to clean areas as I require, but have a couple of areas scheduled to clean every day. Doesn't mop right to the edge of the room, but you can change a setting to have it do a little dance that moves the mop pads closer to the edge. As this takes longer when this is activated so I only use this feature once a fortnight.

I bought the vacuum two months ago, the Dreame app mentioned that the detergent container was Zero percent left and suggested that I replace it. The app will have a message that you cannot get rid of. When I replaced the detergent (Dreame sold one only so they make more money), the old detergent container still had about 15% left. What does this mean? It means the app vs the reality in measuring the detergent levels are not accurate. I did try to explain this to the customer service / tech support but they ... All they will say is return the unit and we will try fixing it. Super dumb. Customer support in the US is non-existent. All the tech support are Outside the US, there is no live person you can call in the US to speak. Dreame is a CHINA company with tech support in Asia and Africa. There is NO SALES or Marketing teams, no real people in US at all. Only communication for most part is email and they will call you if you (they are nice and try to help but the company policy is stupid) want them to but I am sorely disappointed. Lastly, the multi floor plan on the app is messed up. The vacuum cleans the area of the house not meant to be cleaned the given day. It will start cleaning in random places. App is glitchy and not ready for prime time. My suggestion is to NOT consider Dreame brand at all. Look for other brands. My $900 or so is down the drain.
This machine worked better than I expected. Once you have your daily routine set off it goes. You will still need to do deep cleans as the mop and vacuum does go right to the edge but it keeps your home tidy. The vacuum setting is not the strongest but it does enough to keep your house tidy. I have a 2 year old that is forever spilling stuff on the floor. I have found that need to have mop on the wet setting to remove it. It has been such a time saver and highly recommend it.
Very happy with my purchase, I was sceptical at first about its ability to mop as well as vacuum. The mopping function is great and our tiles are looking good. The vacuum is also powerful. The mapping and guidance systems on the whole work well as long as you don't have cords in its pathway or a tangle will ensue. The self empty and self clean are both fantastic features and the verbal English prompts regarding functions and things to attend to are very helpful. Note, there are limitations in terms of getting to the edge with mopping.
