It is a decent functional garlic press that has a plastic cleaning function. The eject sort of works with unpeeled garlic but not designed for peeled. It gets the empty peel into the trash without getting garlic on your hands. But it doesn't catapult the garlic at your spouse, which is kinda what I was hoping for?The built in autoscraper broke the first time I used the press. Nice idea, but needs some engineering work. Back a knife scrapes fine. Decent tool, not a garlic catapult.

If you are searching for the perfect garlic press I suggest you stop right here. The handles are super strong; not wobbly like most other presses, The head is smooth and oblong (not round) so a clove or two will fit in nicely. After you mash down on the clove and squeeze the garlic through the holes and you open the handle to rotate the cleaning head around there is a little squeegee that scraps the garlic of the face of the press . I personally pause and use my finger to make sure all the good bits are scraped off but you don't have to. After you press the cleaning head tight into the press and there is a little knob on the handle; press down with your thumb and the skin pops right out. (sometime it flies out so be careful if your spouses wine glass is near by). ... MoreIf you are searching for the perfect garlic press I suggest you stop right here. The best part is the entire body is made of a material that is smooth as glass so cleaning is as easy as rinsing it with cold water then washing it. If you don't want to touch garlic, poke around in the press with knife or fork, or you are tired of your press giving up while there is still garlic in the bowl BUY THIS PRESS.

Firstly I am gald to see that the owners are Australian. I would like to see next made in Australia. My first impression of this garlic press was that this is a heavy piece. I like the choice of colours for the hole(banjo)cleaner, I chose red so I could find it in amongst the other silver utensils in the drawer.. Like another reviewer I am surprised to see that a handle broke off. It could have been a manufacturing problem. Some zinc alumm can have soft spots after smelting and if pressure is exerted on a weak spot it could break. I would have sent it back to Dreamfarn and asked for another. Mine is fine and I can do 2 cloves peeled or not. The "banjo" I just learnt its name, is wonderful and cleans all the garlic out and I just rinse in cold or warm water to clean. ... MoreFirstly I am gald to see that the owners are Australian. Well so far I have no complaints and this Dreamfarm Garlic Press does all I need and want. So until it gives me a cause to dislike it I reckon it is worth a 5. It looks good, feels great in the hand, comfortable weight, self cleaning and does the job it is suppose to.

This product is phenomenal. So simple to use and extracts so much crushed garlic even with the skin on still. The "Garject" function presses the skin away from the central component and flicks the skin away making clean up a breeze. Excellent product.

quality heavy duty machine that is great at crushing garlic - works best with smaller cloves that easily fit in the crusher. it also handles larger cloves with easy but some excess comes out the sides/back. fairly easy to clean by hand - needed a bristle brush on a few occassions but no big deal. a little pricey but well worth it. highly recommended

Good garlic press and almost makes excellent

Great press. Heavy duty and reasonably well designed -- the built in scraper needs help to scrape all the garlic off. The waste ejector works well. If the scaper were really good -- I still use a knife to get all the garlic off -- I'd give five stars. But given that it's made of stainless and has great leverage and is heavy duty, I'd have to say it's the best garlic press I've had so far. Not perfect, but better than others I have owned.

Great idea; works OK

We use a lot of garlic, and squeezing it gets the most flavor out. I was spending a lot of time cleaning out our other press (which works very well), and was actually wanting to find a powered machine, which doesn't exist. This was the closest thing I found, and seemed like a great design. In reality, it's only a little better than the one we already have. It doesn't work as slick as they show it in the video; you have to work it back and forth several times to get the peels out, and it doesn't eject them as completely as shown, either, I was able to use our other press without getting messy, and was hoping this would save some time. But the scraper needs more tension to get all of the pressings off, and it would be nice if this tool were all metal. The press part of it is very strong, but the whole part that makes it unique is what is just so-so. It would be a pretty good value at half the price, but for what you get, I'd say it's a bit expensive.

My sister-in-law has a problem squeezing anything with her fingers and hands. She loves this garlic press. It is so easy to use. She fell in love with mine, so I got her one. Period I highly recommend it for anyone who has trouble gripping things. Great for people without problems as well like me.😊

I bought this Garlic Press on the strength of the other reviews on the J L site. But I also read that if you do but one you may have to buy more to placate your adult children. It just so happened that both my wife and I and our eldest daughter had new kitchens fitted within weeks of each other. So I did not buy one press but two. I then let my daughter use our press when she was visiting and when she said how good it was and she must get one, I was able to say " No need, here is one as a gift". She says that the only problem with it is that it makes using Garlic so easy, that she now finds that she is putting Garlic into almost all of her dishes.
