Have purchased the Dreme 290 engraver kit for carving talc or soapstone, am finding it very useful especially the ability to adjust the stroke to suit the material. Comfortable to hold and control.

Using supplied template found machine easy to useI had never used an engraver before so was a bit unsure but got great results the first time l used it
I bought this tool to use as a bezel setting tool for silversmithing. I changed the tip to a broader and flatter soft metal and it works like a charm! Better still has been the amazing follow-up from TradeTested, you could not get better service than this.
Tool does exactly what I wanted. Template is useless as engraving point doesn't go through the letters.
Came with a small stencil, I thought the stencil would be too small and lightweight to work, but surprisingly works well the needle fits well.
Having never used something like this before I was a bit concerned but pleased to say I am getting better every day at using it. Looking pretty proffessional already.
This little machine works OK but it doesn't hold the tip very well. It should come with a spare tip.
we brought the above product, to brand our plastic bee frames, for security reasons. we are bee keepers and protecting our wooden bee hives and frame is most important to us. the engraver is great to use for this, enabling us to put our bee keeping number onto our gear. it is abit noisy, but easy to use. just a great product to use
