Love the tool! But this is my 3rd in a year. The lightweight cordless is ideal for my job. I make sure not dust or anything gets inside the device but it just seems not too last. Charging is my guess. Coworkers all bought one a week apart and they all started “dying” 3 months later. All bought from different stores

The Dremel lite has become an indispensable addition to my toolkit.Just like my old Dremel, the Dremel Lite is powerful, easy to use, versatile, handy for a dozen different tasks, and a great tool in a pinch.Unlike my old Dremel, The Dremel Lite is also super lightweight, cordless, ergonomic and easy to use for long periods. The 7.2 Wh lithium battery recharges using a simple USB port, it is easy to hold like a pen for more detailed tasks. It is also simple to change attachments by pressing in the rotation lock just like the old one, and it comes with a mini-tool in case anything gets stuck. It has a grippy rubber coating , simple slider with four speed settings, and a rubber dust cover over the charging port.

Have had a more powerful Dremel for awhile. Has been a great tool. This gives you a lot of the same features but with more portability. Little less power but able to use the same pieces and same good quality. I like that it is battery powered and comes with a small case that holds the accessories. I also like that it comes with a wall plug. Overall it’s a nice lighter duty tool. Only real downside is that I wish there was a case to keep everything together. I don’t want to have to carry the Dremel plus accessory case separately. The accessory selection is decent but will definitely have to get additional replacement items immediately. Downside to battery powered is making sure it’s charged when you need it. For small to medium jobs the charge holds plenty long ... MoreHave had a more powerful Dremel for awhile. I bought this to file my dogs nails. I needed something cordless to be more flexible with where I could use it, light and quiet so that the noise didn't scare my dog. It fits the bill. It would have been perfect if it had a light like an earlier model had (no longer available) AND if the on/off button and speeds were easier to use with the thumb. It is VERY stiff to turn on and off and change speeds, so I have to leave it on rather than turn it off between each short nail file.
The fact that this is cordless is a huge bonus. Comes with its own charging cable and AC adapter. I’m not exactly sure what the battery life is like, as I have not used it long enough to require a re-charge in the middle of a project, and I haven’t used it on enough projects to comment on it’s rocket Ness for durability. I will update this review once I see what the battery life is. It comes with a couple of accessories-sanding barrel polishing wheels and polishing compound. You will need a full kit of accessories and attachments to do any type of major project. The only con that I can comment on directly out of the box is that this tool does not come with a carrying case or bag. So you will need to purchase one separately, or keep it in the box when not in use.
Works like a beast on small projects, great for hobbyists like my self. Does exactly what it states it can do. Being cordless is a bonus, means it can travel with you anywhere. Get yourself a 12V car charger and you can charge on the go. Easy to operate, charge, & has tonnes of accessories, what else could you want. NOTE only use for light work and on small projects if you want the equipment to last. I build alot of RC cars and planes so its great for what i need.
I have difficulties grasping certain items because of pains in my hands. However, I found this tool to be quite easy to grasp and use. I have several other small tools but I find this one to be the best, especially since I don't have a lot of heavy weight to move around. I wish I'd purchased one sooner. A BIG plus is the fact that it's cordless and when it comes time to charge it, just plug it into a USB socket. Because of its light weight and ease of use, I would most DEFINITELY recommend this Dremel tool.
Just what I needed, a simple basics package I can use to trim my dog's nails. Having had a cordless Dremel before, I was surprised at the quality of this model. It has a nice heft to it, the case seems very sturdy, the battery charge lasts a long time, and the operation is much smoother.
I have owned Dremels my entire life but this is the first cordless one I've purchased. The switch in my old corded Dremel started to act up so I thought I'd opt for a cordless one this time. If you're thinking of doing anything but very light grinding or buffing I'd give this one a pass because any bit of resistense and this one just cuts off. You then have to turn it off and back on to get it going again. When they say lite, they mean lite and I'd suggest to anyone considering this one to spend a little more and go for a heavier model. I've tossed this one in a drawer and gone back to my old one.
The Dremel Lite is in one of those odd categories. Unless you have regular needs to tackle light and difficult to reach sanding, shaping or cutting jobs - it's not a tool that springs to mind as being vital on your work bench. But need it once, and you will nod your head and realize why it's such a clever and handy tool. The reason for this, is that it does many things that some of your existing tools will do, but better if they're for more refined work. Sure you can fit a sanding tool onto your impact driver, but it weighs 10x the Dremel, and the result would be fairly clumsy. And of course, you could use a hand tool, but taking 3-4 times the duration, with sore fingers afterwards. For anyone with serious craft ambitions, it's a must have.
