The soldering tip works like a charm, Although it uses up slightly more butane than the other models. The paint scraper and heat gun are also really really good. A suggestion for the paint scraper; length of scraper should be a bit longer. heat gun also has a small issue where point heating is required. The wood graving tool is quite handy when marking wood for cutting as the marks cannot be rubbed off. The welding tip could be provided with more instructions. OVERALL: Amazing set for an affordable price

Once I figured out the safety locking system and filled it with gas it made me jump when it whistled into life. I was absolutely amazed at the almost immediate heat up time, having been used to my old electric soldering iron which took about 5 minutes to reach working temperature, I was soldering in way under one minute. Have since used the hot knife and the heat deflector for heat shrinking and found them to be just as awesome. Looks great, works really well and is so much easier to use than electric.

Once again John Lewis excelled. Cheaper than most others, it was in stock, unlike most others and delivered swiftly. The Dremel so far has performed well, better than a similar priced electrical soldering iron. Time will tell if it was a good buy or a great buy.
I have been struggling to cut out my own stencils trying various tools and failing. This tool is perfect for cutting through the thin plastic. I'm so happy with the variety of tips and it's light and easy to use. Super happy with the price, very much value for money.
Product looks good and is a perfect size for what I needed. However, I have used it a few times now and each time it has been used it has not worked properly. Regardless of which attachment is on the soldering iron, there is a flame coming out from the air hole in the attachment. This means that the item is of no use in close/confined spaces, as the flame burns cables in close proximity. I bought the item as I had used a friends, which was ideal for my needs, but the one I received, although identical, seems to be faulty.
Looks good at first, nice packaging , variety of tips, etc. but : Ive been using it for couple of weeks, few days ago I noticed it doesnt turn on, and while being off the gas kept leaking for few seconds. Now its constantly leaking!! so if you have a fire close to it, even when its off itll catch fire! The bottom line: a main feature of all these type of products is a proper and safe design of the gas valve which in case of this product failed to operate safely after couple of weeks! I dont recommend this product because I dont think the its safe to use. If the gas valve is faulty then pretty much the whole product will be unsafe and hence useless.
This is an excellent product very versatile. Fill with butane gas canisters they use for camping very cheap to run. Has a variety of tips for different applications. First day I got this I fixed an electronic car door worth three hundred dollars since then has been very useful for a variety of soldering jobs. I like the variable adjustment for the heat temperature, definitely a more powerful iron than what I have ever had before yet still able to do fine jobs. This is an excellent product.
This Dremel gas soldering iron is the perfect tool for those out jobs away from a power source. Even in the workshop when working on the interior of a vehicle, there is no inconvenience of having to run power leads, or contend with a hot iron lying around. It heats almost instantly, is very portable can be carried in a small tool box or belt. The cutting attachment is brilliant for cutting plastic or other soft materials when fitting speakers etc inside a vehicle. A clean cut every time. No blade to go blunt.Absolutely brilliant speeds the job up no end.Would recommend it every time.
The person for whom this was bought tells me that it is an excellent product and is the second one that he has had. The old one is still serviceable but after so many years is missing one or two accessories. It can now perform many duties that the old one could not!
