It works, just differently than my original one. It's OK during infusion. It doesn't leak, makes the same satisfying popping sound when the right pressure is reached, etc. The difference is, when you release the silver valve it releases the pressure as if you were pushing down on the white secondary valve too. I don't know if this the way newer infusers are supposed to work or if it has something wrong internally, but sometimes the only way to keep the liquid from spraying out the top is re-close the silver valve. when the silver valve is open it makes no difference if you push the white tab, the excess pressure doesn't release any faster than my original does.

I bought the Drinkmate Fizz Infuser to replace a part for my 2015 machine, only to find out it wasn't compatible. There was no mention of model year restrictions in the description. Customer service informed me they no longer support models older than 2018, saying that anything over six months old is outdated. This disregard for slightly older devices has me considering other brands despite my satisfaction with the Drinkmate itself.

Use the main infuser that comes with the Drinkmate Omni Fizz system for water. Then get this Spare infuser in ANOTHER colour and use it for fruit juices/alcohol or drinks. That way main water infuser will never get clogged by fruit juice etc
I bought extras of these so I can have a few bottles in the carbonation process. Carbonate once with chilled liquid then wait 60 minutes, bottle in chiller, and then carbonate further and round one has been absorbed.The very best detailed processing and shipping updates I have seen hands down.
Tried SodaStream, didnt work, no significant bubbles,got this one, works great, typically for making lemon or lime seltzer, yet also works great for making bubbly fruity wine and wine coolers.Tried to take the co2 cartridge to Bed, Bathe & Beyond for 1/2 off, they wouldnt take it.
Nice unit. It appears well made. I like the fact that I can carbonate not only water but other beverages as well ... juices, wine, etc. I was drinking a lot of a not so cheap imported sparkling water. Now, with a good water filter on my sink, I can enjoy an even better, and unlimited supply of sparkling water at a reduced cost.
Does exactly what it is supposed to do - carbonates fruit juices and other drinks when used with the Drinkmate Omnifizz machine. Now I can have sparkling grape, sparkling apple, sparkling apple and blackcurrant, etc., just like you buy in the supermarket (if you can find it since COVID).
First, I'd like to say that this soda maker is THE BOMB!That being said, I have been trying to get this replacement part (fizz infuser) for months and it is has been sold out *everywhere*. So I am having trouble reconciling the fact that the people who made this device are simultaneously brilliant enough to design such a fantastic product while beingmentally retarded enough to not have components available for sale. You may think I'm joking, but I'm not. Someone at that company needs to get their nephew/niece into the Guinness Book of World Records for incompetence, and then replace him/her.Ok, rant is finished.
bought this as an extra piece to the soda stream. i read in a review in was good to have to make twice as many drinks...thats not the case lol. but never hurts to be prepared lol. i guess if someday my original one doesn't work anymore...at least I already have the spare =)
