Firstly, the nose rocker has been flattened out a little and the nose outline has been widened to make it much easier to paddle, and also gives a noticeable lift in speed when taking off compared to all other high-performance shortboards on the market. These two improvements also widen the effective range of the board from 2" to 6" rather than the typical 4" to 6" range that high-performance shortboards are tailored to. This board feels very solid off the bottom in anything up to 6" and feels very dynamic underfoot.
