I received a complimentary sample of this moisturizer courtesy of Drunk Elephant and Influenster. It can be tough to make a full analysis of a moisturizer when it’s a sample size, but I try to be as practical and fair as I can in my approach.Pros:-The scent of this moisturizer is mild. Not much to it.-A little goes a long way, so you don’t have to use a lot.-Feels lovely upon application and keeps your skin smooth but not greasy.Cons:-It’s price. But hey, that’s just Drunk Elephant products, so no surprise there.-It takes a little massaging to get the moisturizer to absorb.Overall, this moisturizer works well and seems like it will last a long time. I’ll continue using until it’s run out to determine if I might purchase this in its full size.

I wish I could give this product 0 stars. It made my face break out so badly. When I first used it I liked how it was a thick and made my face feel soft. But after a while my face felt really oily and I felt like I had 20 pounds of product on my face. I thought that maybe I had used too much so I only used around a pea sized amount (sometimes even less) and it still was super heavy. I used it with no make up and make up and I couldn't tell a difference in if it was my make up causing a reaction with the moisturizer or if it was just the moisturizer itself. I really wanted to like this product but it just wasn't what people were making it out to be. Granted I do have sensitive skin but I usually never have a hard time with moisturizers. Im not currently using any actives in my skin care routine either. Also, not to mention the amount of product that's in here for the price is just unbelievable. I didn't get more than 8 uses of it. I wanted to give it 3 weeks but there isn't enough product to even last you a week (couldn't even imagine how much would last you if you had dry skin). I wish that it had worked though because I do love some of the drunk elephant products like the babyfacial and the cantelope cleanser.

The reviews convinced me to buy this (not a cheap purchase may I add!). I really wanted to like this, but I just don’t see the hype at all.The smell is not bad, but it’s not nice…. I usually get a compliment from my husband telling me that I smell nice after I moisturise, but not with this one (I wasn’t a fan either). And the pump lid sounds clever but stopped working for me on my second night of using it. The difference it made on my skin wasn’t anything unique or exciting. I’m just overall disappointed! The only reason I’m still using it, is because I paid for it and it would be a shame to waste it. I’m excited for this to run out so I can get my hands on something better!!

I absolutely must have this moisturizer at all times, and I've always had one since Drunk Elephant only had a small handful of products back in 2017. I must be on my 4th or 5th jar now. I use this on days I feel dry, and it just does the job. Flaking, using retinol, or using AHA or BHA, just use this on top, and your face will no longer be dry. I use it more in the winter than summer, but I would use it before going to sleep on dry, summer days. A friend of mine said it stings when she uses this, but It hasn't stung at all for me. I love how it is unscented, too, and the packaging. I don't like open jars, since I feel like the ingredients get too much exposure to the air, but this jar is a pump jar! I can't live without this unless I live in a humid, tropical ... MoreI absolutely must have this moisturizer at all times, and I've always had one since Drunk Elephant only had a small handful of products back in 2017. I was using the ordinary moisturizer before I received this drink elephant moisturizer for free to try from influenster in exchange for my honest review. The one from ordinary was super thick and goopy. It made my skin feel so greasy afterwards. When I got this in the mail I immediately quit using my old moisturizer and replaced it with this one. I have been using this Lala retro whipped moisturizer in the A.M. after cleansing my face. The product itself doesn’t have a smell and the consistency is more on the thick side. I have sensitive skin and so I never know which products are going to agree with my skin and which ones are not. This did not irritate my skin. My skin feels very hydrated after applying without a greasy after feel.
So i bought this a week ago - the only reason i give it 2 stars is because i haven’t had it for while. However, anytime i use this product my face goes red and splotchy along with it stinging slightly, I was honestly so disappointed with it as the price was high and the moisturiser is honestly just a normal moisturiser. I love drunk elephants other products (don’t get me wrong) but i do believe as a whole the brand is wayyyy overpriced and the quality isn’t even that great for what you’re paying. I’d recommend tatcha’s moisturiser if anything - but it is always about your skin and this is potentially because i am allergic to something in the formula. Drunk elephant as a brand is great. If you are thinking of buying this i recommend sampling before usage. :)
I received this product free from Influenster and Drunk Elephant in exchange for my honest review. First of all I do have to say I’m a bit disappointed with the ml/oz of the trial/sample size of the moisturizer cream, but in all fairness I guess that would make this $6, having taken into consideration that a 50 ml container prices out at $60. Now with that out of the way, this whipped cream moisturizer is very smooth and rich helping your skin feel softer and more rejuvenated. Likewise, this cream is truly good for all skin types, whether you have combination skin, excessive oil, or even dryness…This cream helps all to achieve a healthy pH, whilst also fighting against aging and helping to restore overall elasticity and moisture. Furthermore, while I do appreciate Drunk Elephant’s commitment to NOT using unnecessary ingredients, focusing on only the direct benefit to the skin, I would definitely appreciate some sort of scent. I have read TONS of complaints in regards to this very bland, Play Doh like smell that can be a little off putting. I’m certain that Drunk Elephant can find something natural that can also even serve as a beneficial ingredient to help the overall aroma and vibe that this whipped cream moisturizer gives. Perhaps Lemon? Coconut? Thankyou Drunk Elephant for the opportunity to test your product.
It may too rich for some people but I’ve almost used a sample and love it. Very moisturizing and nice as a night cream or during the winter. La Mer is my favourite but I am enjoying this on areas I’ve needed extra moisture and it gives a lovely glow and could double as a highlighter on the cheek bone. No pore clogging. Was recommended by a YouTuber and beauty writer with dry but exquisite skin (because of her skincare) in Dubai and then I remembered my sample and tried it. May be too much for very young or oily skin but wonderful for dry skin that loves to look young. I don’t usually write reviews but have a soft spot for elephants and thought I should after seeing the others to be fair. Skin care is very personal but a lot of people might love this. I've been using Lala cream on and off over the past year. I try to use clean beauty products as they don't have heavy fragrance or things I'm often allergic to. I've always had oily skin, but now that I'm almost 50, it's become more combination. In the summer, I use this more sparingly, often on a few patches on my jawline that are a bit dry a few times per week (I also use this on my hands as it's very soothing.) Lala becomes my winter moisturiser as it gets colder and it's very dry where I live. I often combine it with heavier serums overnight. For the price I think this is an excellent product and compared to the other tiny, super expensive moisturisers & serums I buy for my face (Tatcha, Dermalogica, Hourglass, Sensei), I will always have some of this in my skin ... MoreI've been using Lala cream on and off over the past year. I like the texture because it never makes my skin feel greasy, doesn't irritate it, or over-stimulate my skin's natural oil production. Love it.
I was super psyched to receive this product free from Drunk Elephant and Influenster in exchange for my honest review! The Drunk Elephant Lala Retro Whipped Moisturizer with Ceramides is a fantastic compliment to the Drunk Elephant TLC Framboos Glycolic Night Serum. The formula feels slightly thick, but not too think for the summer, and it doesn’t have a fragrance to it. My skin looks and feels SO much healthier and the breakouts have gone away and stopped since using both products. A little product goes a long way so don’t let the price deter you. I would absolutely recommend this product as a part of your skin care routine and I will be adding it permanently to mine! Thank you so much Influenster and Drunk Elephant!
