DT Swiss 240 EXP Boost Rear MTB Hub Lighter, stiffer, more precise and easier to maintain - these are the strengths of the newly launched DT Swiss 240 hubs. These properties were achieved through the Ratchet EXP technology. With this, the hubs not only manage with fewer components and the associated lower weight and less wear, it also allows the bearing to be placed significantly further out on the drive side. The larger distance between the bearings results in a higher stiffness of the hub, a lower bearing load and thus a higher durability. The rigidity on the hub body serves to distribute the load more evenly on the spokes. Drive and braking forces are transmitted even better from both spoke flanges to all spokes. One-sided load peaks are prevented, which protects the hub, spokes and rim. The super reliable tooth lock washer freewheel system with its large contact surface and 36 locking points ensures extremely direct and reliable power transmission. DT Swiss hubs stand for the simplest construction and highest reliability. Thanks to the use of complex seals and bearing sizes adapted to the loads, the hubs can do without adjusting the bearing play. So the driver does not have to worry about the function of the hubs for years! Should service be necessary after tens of thousands of kilometers, the hubs can be dismantled and serviced within a few minutes thanks to the DT Swiss plug-in system.
