The controller itself is fine. It feels like it has a little less grip than the base white controller. The disappointing part is that it doesn’t come with a usb cable and it states to use the one that came with the ps5. For what would be a very cheap item for Sony to include feels like a way to charge more in accessories to buy it separately.

I actually loved this more than I thought I would. I bought it for use with PC and it really does perform better than other controllers I have. I was not going to buy it because of price but I'm really glad that I did!It is impressively capable as an input device for desktop and browsing as well as playing games. I just wish there were cheaper options because I would not really have considered this price range when I have both a good keyboard and a mouse.

The haptic feedback for games that support it such as Astros playroom is really good. Adaptive triggers are a bit much at first but can be adjusted. Much more comfortable to hold comapred Dualshock 4.

Functionally the same as the standard PS5 controller, along with the same robust Sony build quality. The dark appearance is a nice change though and my son (who wanted this for his 13th birthday) loves it. After a month or so pretty constant use its showing no signs of wear.

Its incredible that Sony did the same trash controller as PS4. By now I think they do it in purpose. After sometime they start to drift.The only way to combat this issue is by claiming the warranty which they should fullfill. The controller is defect by design and that is why they dont last. Claim your warranty in all of them until they do a proper controller.And now Sony does not allow to use third party controllers with the PS5. So they provide a defective controller and they dont let you use something with more quality from an third party. Bravo Sony!!!!
Great quality controller, I'm not sure if this is a new generation (like a 2.0) compared to the one I got with my PS5 but this one feels, better made, the buttons and triggers feel more precise. I bought this because the battery life of my original was beyond gone. I hope PlayStation have made improvements on that too... time will tell.
I have a very bad experience with this controller, it's very heavy, rigid, and the ergonomics are off. It does not fit well in the hand, I have to constantly reajust the controller, the buttons are too hard, and makes the muscles in my hands and arms stiff and causes cramps after long time playing.I prefer the ps4 controller much more, it's like going from a rock to cotton, ergonomic cotton.
I bought this as a second controller for my PS5. I wanted one with a cool colour, and went for the Red. It is definitely more pinky than I thought it would be, but still really like the colour. It's sturdy and well made, feels substantial in the hands. The battery life is exceptional - especially compared to previous generations. Connecting it to my PS5 was super easy.
I purchased the console near launch (no issues with the PS5 itself) and within 24 hours the controller developed an issue with the L2 trigger being overly sensitive and activating with only a feather like touch. I returned it to a Smyth's store (easy and hassle free experience) and was given a new controller as a replacement.After about a month of light use, the R2 trigger on the new controller snapped internally whilst playing a game and now there is a loose piece of something rattling around inside the controller. The R2 trigger now constantly activates whilst barely resting my finger on it when playing any game.This is not a Smyth's issue but a Sony issue. Please sort this out Sony - it's not the first I've heard about this happening, it seems fairly ...
