I received this from Influenster in exchange for my honest opinion. I was surprised by this shampoo BC it's a big tube and you are supposed to use it twice every wash. I thought it wasn't gonna work well and my hair will be greasy and will not last 3 months. But I was surprised that it worked well! In the 3 months I used it. My hair and scalp felt so clean after using the shampoo each time. And I didn't need to use scaling solutions or acids to clarify the scalp. I quite liked it. Took a star off because I am not sure if it actually helps that much with hair loss. Did notice a little less hair balls when I'm showering but I don't know if that's the shampoo or the solution. Overall, a nice shampoo.

After having kids my hair became very weak, think and sparse and I’ve been super self conscious about it. This shampoo has made my hair appear so much more full and has really strengthened it. I have been using this shampoo for about a month now a couple times a week and have noticed a change in how voluminous and strong it is. I'm always skeptical about shampoos that claim to strengthen hair and help nourish the scalp for hair growth. Often, these products are just full of wax that coats the hair shaft giving the illusion of fullness but really just weighing it down with build up. Not so with Anaphase by Ducray! My hair actually feels lighter and smoother, and my scalp isn't itchy, oily, or feeling "clogged". After a few weeks of use, my hair doesn't feel weighed down; so it's perfect for my fine, thin, stick straight hair! I don't see much new hair growth yet, but I'm getting a few wispy new hairs around my temples, so I imagine that something good is going on :) (a relief for someone who was devastated to see clumps of hair falling out due to hypothyroidism). I started this product June 16 2022 Today is Aug 23 2022. I am 31 and have always had thin spread out hair. Pictures are before then after. There is definetly an obvious difference that was made with new hair growth. Not just over all but also in the upper corners I’ve literally been called out at work for being “bald”. For strength/thickness i would say my hair did feel/act stronger and full. But not some sort of extreme amount. I’d say maybe if I used this for a whole years worth of growth, that hair would grow into the full length or medium length I’d need to feel a huge difference in an up do. My hair also grows mediocre slow compared to some other people I know who can have growth in 2-3 weeks. Background: I work in the medical field where I need my hair tied up all the time away from gore. I don’t wear hats religiously. I do wash my hair every day ( I will never be the girl who washes their hair and oily scalp once every 1-2 weeks.) or every second day due to the fact I sweat a lot and deal with peoples germs at work. I did notice that with brushing my hair I had less fall out after washing. This was a large concern to be nearly 8 months ago prompting me to search for hair loss remedy and switch to expensive salon quality hair products. How did I use: Either every morning or evening. Shampoo lather and massage into scalp. I’d do my shower routine and at the end I’d wash it out. I DID follow with salon quality conditioner because I CANNOT not use conditioner. It would be impossible to brush through after a shower. ( what I typically always used for 6 months prior to starting this regiment) After the shower I would towel dry my hair. Now for adding the lotion spray. I did it two ways. 1) after the towel dry spraying and more focusing into the “bald” spots and parting it in sections, spray and massage in. And continue my wet style into whatever up do. OR 2) the above and then let it stay loose and air dry then go to bed/carry on for my day. How did the product feel? Shampoo: has a great clean smell to it. I have sensitive skin and it never busted me out with hives. So that’s a huge plus. Would lather nicely and wash out well and feel clean. Lotion Spray: it’s stated it is not suppose to cause an oily after effect. I believe this is true. However if you’re loading it on, like any product, it could become oily looking. Putting the spray on was refreshing. The way to could describe, giggle if you must, is almost like spraying a mild mouth wash on my scalp. The smell even reminds me of it. So obviously there must be mint/peppermint/tea tree something cooling effect worthy in it. Overall, if I could give it 4.8 I would. .2 is out because I would like to see a more long term outcome. I recommend this product and think people should give it a try.

Overall I think this shampoo is pretty good - other reviewers mentioned liking the smell, but I actually found it fairly perfume-y/chemically smelling and that was one of my least favourite parts about using the product. It isn't a scent I would go for in a daily use/longterm product. I did feel like I saw slightly less hair coming out in my brush each day and I can see some new growth/baby hairs starting after using it for several weeks. I would highly recommend using a good moisturizing conditioner and product as the shampoo is also fairly drying, especially on my blonde sections. I only wash my hair 1-2 times per week, so perhaps those who wash their hair daily would see faster/more dramatic results.

Can't live without it

I started using it after a friend from France recommended it. My hair stopped falling almost entirely since the first week, I've been using it for years now and sometimes pair it with the treatment from the same brand when I want my hair to grow really fast. Overall my hair just doesn't fall out like before and it's got great shine and volume

Great shampoo regardless of your goal

I haven't used the Anaphase products for long enough to tell a difference. My doctor has instructed me that it may take 3 months to notice a difference, and it's been only 1. Regardless of the desired hair loss results, I can tell you that this shampoo smells good, isn't oily, and gives the hair a lovely texture. I use it every day and leave it in for about 5 minutes on the scalp simultaneously with the conditioner on the lengths. My hair is shiny and looks healthy, I've been also receiving lots of compliments on it lately. Helps me feel more confident about my hair despite having been recently diagnosed with alopecia. Besides this shampoo, I've been taking the Anaphase supplements. I'm eager to see what I'll be like in 3 to 6 months post-treatment. Left hair dry and scalp irritated

This is a sulphate based shampoo which also contains alcohol. I have greying hair with a pronounced wave and could not tolerate the apparent drying effects of the formula which also caused discomfort to my scalp. I have nothing bad to say about the inherent nature of the ingredients, especially as I am not a chemist. I like that it was biodegradable and theoretically suitable for all hair types. The smell was pleasant and I trust that the science behind the active ingredients is sound. I can't comment on the efficacy of the formula for hair loss as the formula in general wasn't well tolerated by me and seemed to increase but certainly not decrease my hair loss. Oilier hair may prefer this product.
