Difficult to blend with roller application, appears to dry too quickly.
Great colour formulas but an awful consistency to apply on a smooth wall. The dark red pigments were thin which wasn’t that unusual (though no tinted undercoat was recommended), but the main disappointment was the consistent streaking that was left all over the wall! This was evidently not an application issue - we painted two adjacent walls at home simultaneously, same conditions, prep, tools and method of application. The other wall was coated in a similar colour of Taubmans Easy Coat and had a consistent smooth finish after two coats. The Dulux Low Sheen Wash & Wear instead looks like a gradient of vertical blinds where each paint roll seemed to skin on the wall immediately, making the paint impossible to blend out as you move across the surface.Having never ... The finish does look great from a front-on view but at any extreme angle (unfortunately this was in a hallway) the roller application is immediately evident and the “low sheen” reflects more light than desired. This was not evident in a preliminary swatch. This paint might be better on a more textured wall that can diffuse the roller mark reflections, but sadly for me it was a decent day of work for a very average result. This seems to be a common experience for this specific paint if you take a look at other online review sites- unfortunately, I didn’t do that first!!... Show more

Disappointing performance Dulux!
Dulux has, in the past ,been my "go to" brand of paint. Costs more but I believe the quality of the paint was worth it. This time around I have been so disappointed. I found the coverage was what I would expect from a cheaper brand and in fact took three coats to give a satisfactory coverage. I have renovated over 40 places and relied on Deluxe paint. But this outing has been very disappointing and will consider other brands going forward.... Show more

Dulux Natural White interior low sheen paint
This is really freshening up my walls, looks clean and goes well with the ceiling paint, which was a Dulux ceiling premium acrylic paint in White 61584179. It's not streaky and don't need to keep a wet edge. Is easy to apply and dries quick with no strong smell. Aesthetically the walls are an off white/cream colour and ceilings look bright white. I was looking at the lexicon quarter but decided not to use it as it would have been brighter like the ceiling. Apparently Lexicon is blueish white unlike lexicon quarter. All Dulux. Also 4 Litre tin easier to carry and empty though 15 Litres would be more economical. Can wash off any droplets on floor with a wet cloth as you go. All rollers and brushes wash in water. I used 4 Litres to do my small lounge room, two coats ... Go for another base.
Streaky and thin and an absolute nightmare to work with. I should have read the reviews first. I chose the shade Hurunui, which according to the colour card needed an ultra deep base, but in the computer system said ultra bright - so the staff member went with the ultra bright. Not sure if this made a difference but I think it’s worth mentioning. This was for a feature wall in my lounge - all the other walls were painted with Wattyl I.D Advanced, which was extremely easy to work with and opaque with one coat. Will need at least 3 or 4 coats of this one to get a smooth looking finish…fingers crossed.Used with both roller and brush and both finishes left a lot to be desired.... Show more

Love my new brick feature wall and fireplace
Easy to apply and great colour range. Nearly can’t smell anything when I paint - I’m extremely sensitive of smells and anything smells bad I’d have an allergic reaction.Really happy with the result too. Great paint, smooth finish and good protection layers. I used 3 colours, USA chalk, black and terracotta and mixed my own light grey colour. It transformed the living room withoriginal brick wall and fireplace. The room looks much brighter and more spacious. Very happy with my choice.... Show more

Needs many coats and poor coverage
Overall not a great paint and I will be choosing a different brand from a paint shop for the rest of my house. Colour was Snowy Mountains 1/4. Two main problems: (1) So far 2 coats and 3 coats in some areas did not cover a very light existing colour. Even over ceiling white it looks patchy with greyness coming through. I believe that 3 or more coats will be needed and 4 coats in some areas. (2) Coverage is poor. I will use 15l on one medium-sized bedroom and small ensuite. The paint seems pretty diluted and hence watery. Overall it is disappointing. Refer to productreview.com.au to see other reviews of his paint.... Show more

Poor Coverage!
Painted a whole 4 bedroom home with Dulux Antique Whight bought from Bunnigs Capalaba. The colour is great, an eggshell colour and would recommend it for the base of a decorator pallet. That was the up side! The downside was the poor coverage. Yes, the correct rollers and brushes were use and the pale blue wall should have been easily covered with a maximum of 3 coats. This job took 4 and to be totally honest, a couple of walls should take has another coat to provide a solid colour finish. Would I use this paint again? Probably not! I would use the colour but would try another paint brand that does give a more solid coverage. 4 coats for the whole of a 4 bedroom house is a big job and requires a lot of paint and time.... Quality paint but too many coats needed.
Paint quality is great. However, it takes at least 3 coats to get a finish. Otherwise you can see streaks and lines until you get a minimum of 3 coats. Forget using this with a spray gun as it will chew through so much paint to get a finish.... Show more

Very Poor Quality Paint
We bought this paint the other day to lighten walls that were an off white but just a shade darker. Very disappointed with how this colour went on. It seems so watered down and wishy washy that after 3 coats we gave up and bought Taubmans. We paint a lot and we know what a good paint is and this Deluxe Pre-tinted stuff is pretty useless. Mentioned it to Bunnings Paint Department and they were quite surprised as they both said "that's our premium product", I said "I know I thought the same" but it's rubbish. Then they said "did you stir it", I said "of course". Premium by namesake only perhaps........but certainly not the product. We've used 2 different colours in the Taubmans range and finishes are absolutely streets ahead of Deluxe.... Show more
