I had no issues with painting new plasterboard ceilings recently installed in 2010.I found application of the Dulux BATHROOM Ceiling white in the 1920's bathroom despite being well ventilated that it was easy not only to become "fumigated' but more difficult to evenly apply to the 1920s walls and ceilings. It was easier to make mistakes and get "streaky" results. Easy to reapply paint to "under painted" areas, but difficult on first and second paint applications to identify the under painted areas. The white paint did not easily allow a fumugated 72 year old to identify the "under painted" areas on application.Now to see if 10 years time my wife likes the Bathroom ceiling!I am prejudice in favour of Dulux paints as quality brand.

Not happy. Expensive lesson. I redid the ceiling just to freshen up the place since I was painting the walls anyway. I wish I read reviews on this product before choosing this paint. I assumed the most expensive product would be best. It also claims to have 'superior hiding power'. After the first coat, it looked patchy so i assumed it just needed its second coat. After 2 coats, the finish still looked patchy. The bigger mistake was going back to bunnings and buying another tin because I thought a 3rd coat would surely conceal the patchiness. It actually made it worse. I wish I never painted the ceiling to begin with. I have painted ceilings before and never had such a bad product as this one. I have used Dulux ceiling paints for many years. This is the first Dulux ceiling paint which I would NOT recommend. It is not easy to apply, and does not hide easily despite it going on very thick. Ceiling was in good condition and had been prepared .Disappointed with this product.

I purchased this paint for our renovated bathrooms. What a mistake. The brand new plaster was prepped for painting, I applied three coats, with 3 hours dry time during summer 2022. Waited 72 hours before we used the shower. Within a few months the paint look more and more patchy. I have painted plenty of ceilings and never had such a bad result. This is not a good product, it definitely has its issues. Now I am going to have to repaint both bathrooms, which is a real pain in the neck.
Terrible product, been 10 months since whole ceiling being painted. The painted has gone a different colour in certain parts of the ceiling and now can see imperfections and patches that were done on the ceiling. This has happened throughout the whole house even in the spare bedrooms which no one lives in. I wont be using this paint again.
My expectation on this product was very high. It failed me! I thoroughly cleaned our whole ceiling in the house for days. After i have done the first coat it left patchy areas in the ceiling which were very visible. I thought it requires a second coat which i have done after three days, but still the same. I ended up buying just the normal flat white (without the ceiling and kitchen formula) and it was perfect. I wasted a lot of money and effort. I was honestly frustrated. I even tried different roller materials! Sorry but this was my experience on this product!
This paint is only suitable for small areas as I recently applied this product to a small bathroom, 2m x 2m approx. and the end result was good. My next project was a kitchen/family room and this paint was a total disaster, with streaks and uneven shine everywhere and using different roller covers and 2 x 4L paint it just wasn't working. A normal flat ceiling white came to the rescue and all turned out fine.I suggested to the Bunnings paint team that a sign should be displayed stating that this product is unsuitable for large areas! I will never use this product again.
I bought this to apply in a recently renovated open plan living environemnt that had the kitchen open up into the dining room. I figured this paint was a safe option. This paint dries fast, streaky and patchy….even after 2-3 coats. I also applied it to a nearby room that was smaller, but got the same results. I’ve tried different rollers and applied it at different times of the day/night, but to no relief. Probably best suited to VERY small rooms. Would not recommend.
I used this to paint a large area and it was a total disaster, with streaks and patches all over the place. It was drying in patches almost immediately and was impossible to keep a wet line. After 2 coats it did not cover and I had to sand back the ceiling, delaying my Reno progress. I then purchased and used an Australian owned brand of paint ( not available at Bunnings ) which was cheaper , with excellent results. I will never use Dulux paint again.
I'm a bit disappointed in such an expensive paint. It's got quite a poor hiding power so my primer is showing through easily. I find it's also quite runny which I didn't expect for a ceiling paint - I expected it to be tacky to fight against spatters. I ended up having to load the rollers and brushes up pretty heavily which is a pain when cutting in. I'm going to try out another brand next time.anti-mould properties seem to work ok.
