I can’t speak for the content of this book since it’s a gift; but the condition in which is arrived is impeccable. I am usually pretty skeptical about ordering books online, especially hardcover; however this book looks like it just came off the press. No bent edges, no damage or marring on the dust jacket. It’s a beautiful book.

Absolutely gorgeous. It's so lustrous. I don't think the photos do it justice. In my opinion, it's even better than the Penguin Galaxy Edition. It's a must for collectors of beautiful books.

I love that I got this on sale. This special edition hardback is a beautiful copy of the book. The colorful edges of the page make it stand out no matter which side it’s on. For those of y’all like me who don’t like the “now a major motion picture” emblem on your books this one doesn’t have one. Great copy of a great book.
Story aside, this particular edition is GORGEOUS. The photo doesn't even do it justice. It has a matte metal sheen, like brushed copper, and the teal accents really pop. Makes a great gift for a fan or collector.

I will not comment here on the actual story of Dune as it is a classic and there is a plethora of reviews and comments that you can easily see. I will however talk about this edition of Dune, this book is stunning. I currently have 3 editions of Dune and this is the only one that is on actual display, and the only book in all my collection that is Cover facing out as opposed to spine. The dust jacket on this book is beautiful, the colours are stunning and align beautifully to latest movie reboot. This is followed up by just as beautiful artwork on the inside of the Dust jacket and inside the cover. The cover and spine where could ahve just been left blank with all the work already put into the dust jacket, is very tastefully done in gold on the spine and plain black ... MoreI will not comment here on the actual story of Dune as it is a classic and there is a plethora of reviews and comments that you can easily see. Overall the book itself is a classic and if you are looking for your first copy or another copy to add to your collection this is the must buy edition.
Purchased this brand new and it arrived in perfect condition. I've read Dune numerous times over the years and it remains consistently one of, if not the, greatest science fiction story written. This deluxe edition is very handsome with blue edging to all the pages and sits nicely on the book shelf, rather than looking like some cheap derivative sci-fi book that the front covers of the earlier editions tended to look like.
This deluxe edition of the classic sci-fi novel Dune is well made and a pleasure to read with large type. The illustrations are quite stunning and capture the spirit of the story - there's even one on the inside of the dust jacket!
