Short and sweet: It's not a balanced box to pull from. We ordered two of these and a friend ordered two. Out of our two boxes, we had one with 3 small and 1 large creature, and the other had 1 small creature, 1 medium creature, and 2 large dragons. Our friend pulled two boxes with 3 small and 1 large each.Quality is ok; one of the dragons we received had a bent wing, and the coloring is minimal. Eyes are comical on all of them but especially disappointing on the large figures.

This time around, I think I got a couple of repeats, but that is fine. When playing Tyranny of Dragons you can never have too many dragons. I am optimistically looking forward to the well of dragons being well populated.I'll be ordering booster packs again.

This is the most dragon heavy set in the d and d minis line. There are plenty of good nondragon minis in this set, notably the mind flayer, the dragons are the highlight of the set though. All d and d dragon minis are high priced. Buying these booster packs is a great low price way to add dragons to your mini collection.
This was especially helpful for me when I play D&D because I have just started playing and being the dungeon master, I am new to the world building and creating campaigns so having these miniatures can help me make campaigns around the miniatures and not get miniatures around a campaign. It helps me make campaigns and is a whole lot less expensive than buying the specific miniatures for a story. This all goes for the other two booster packs as well. :D
Very versatile set, that is getting a lot of mileage on my table. Many good PC or NPC mini's (01, 02, 08, 09, 11, 12, 16, 20). Sometimes you get two larges which is really awesome. The set is a bit flying and dragon heavy but they are well made and the stands are fairly reliable. This is a great set for a collector who wants new models or the heavy player who needs to fill out his set. Mini market is great about getting them to you and let be real here. Who can beat the mini market price and value? No one. I wish they were in my town!
Recently I purchased three of the Tyranny of Dragons booster packs to start my miniature collection. The figures are randomized based upon a set of 40 or more creatures and characters depending on which booster pack series you buy. I find this way of marketing D&D figures to be fun and nostalgic, reminding me of the booster packs for the Pokemon trading cards, as well as those Lego minifigures packs or Mega Blox mystery packs for their Halo sets.
A great product. Interesting range of creatures. Well painted. Worth noting not all of the larger minis available are dragons. In fact out of the large size I have had exclusively frost giants in the ones I have purchased so far, so be prepared for the randomness.
So really thought the dragon that came in this box - flying adult red dragon - was awesome as well as the monster that came with it however some of the humanoid figures did have some silly faces, ie the eyes were a bit buggy. Love them no the less, and the player thought they were awesome!
I'm sure I could have found this cheaper elsewhere, but I am by no means disappointed. The package arrived as scheduled and carefully packaged for safety. While booster boxes are random, I feel super lucky because it was my first one ever, and the large mini turned out to be the black shadow dragon. I love the sculpt. It's made of transparent plastic and stained with black ink making it translucent. The mouth is stained in purple ink which is a lovely touch. 10/10 will buy again!
