Dungeons & Dragons Legend of Drizzt Board Game
A cooperative game of adventure for 1-5 players set in the world of Dungeons & Dragons. It is named after the book series by the same name recounting the adventures of the dark elf Drizzt Do'Urden and his friends. Designed for 1-5 players, this boardgame features multiple scenarios, challenging quests, and cooperative game play. Players explore the game world, which is built during the game by laying out tiles, using ready-made player characters and encountering enemies with corresponding miniatures. Encounters are generated by drawing cards and resolved using a D20 die. All players win together, depending on the scenario, by escaping, saving others or overcoming a threat.

Great co-op game with simple rules, yet lots of strategies to work out with different team make-up. Miniatures are good, could be used for D&D games (note they are the bendable plastic so need undercoating if you plan on painting them properly). Great for a random dungeon hack and slash with friends (young can get to grips with this also quite quickly 8+). Only downside is that the game is repetitive in nature - different villains, but basically explore, kill beasties, find end zone, kill villain. However, it is quite challenging, which is the appeal - trying to beat the level so to speak. Also there isn't any build up of characters between adventures - therefore each game is a start from scratch. That said, for a cut down version of D&D / dungeon romp, with fast ... Brilliant game. Brings Drizzt to life true to the books. The mechanics are easy to learn and the campaigns challenging enough to keep you coming back to play again and again. The artwork is beautiful, the miniatures are well sized and easy to prep for painting. All in all 10/10 would recommend.

Playing dd for a few years and this box has everything you need to gwt started. I loved playing with a group of friends every week and getting together just to play. I would definitely start off with the 5e starter set before buying this box. The 5e starter set has all the instructions for beginners and newcomers alike.
All of the D&D adventure system games are great fun. The rules will seem complicated if you've only played games like Clue and Monopoly before, but it's totally worth figuring out how to play! You get to be a courageous hero exploring the depths of various caverns, tombs, and dungeons; fighting off monsters; and taking home loot! Best of all, you get to team up with your friends and all try to beat the game together. Everyone wins or loses as a team, and the game is always a challenge. Definitely a buy!
If you love D%26D or are just looking for a fun game that provides hours of enjoyment, this is for you. One its own, The Legend of Drizzt is massive but, add to the fact that it can be combined with other Coop play games like Ravenloft and Ashardalon, and the sheer size becomes all the more encompassing. You might need to bring in an additional table or two! Fair warning though; there is a high probability that you might receive one in not too great of condition; it took me four tries to get one in with only slight damage to a box corner and side.
This is a fun game that takes most of the drudgery out of the system and leaves all the fun. It is usually a tense game with no certainty of winning...leaving you in suspense right up to the end. It can be played solitaire or with up to 5 people. You can set up the game in under 10 minutes and be playing...right out of the box. The figures are excellent and you get a lot of them. The dungeon will change with every game play, as will the encounters, monsters, and treasures...so you would literally have to play millions of games before playing the same game twice. It has an easy learning curve and can be played cooperatively or competitively. The price is right and the fun and ease of play make this a good choice (if you have any interest in this genre and theme at all).
This game was more than i expected and can even be played with more than the recommended :)it doesn't go too fast either as it is just challenging enough. It is really easy to learn and the adventure book is easy to follow. (Some adventures are definitely more challenging than some)Much larger box than i expected (in a good way) and tons of pieces to feel legit. (not a knock off at all)Worth the buy for any D&D enthusiasts or legend of Drizzt lovers!Best deal for this game at walmart and I looked everywhere online :)
This Board Game is very good! I like to play it every time when I can! Especially it's cool that if You have other D&D Adventure System Board Games You can mix theirs components and You can create Your own adventures!
I remember seeing the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons advertised in comics back in the 90's and thinking how awesome it looked. When I actually got the opportunity to play the game, I was a bit disappointed to find out that most of the game was pencil and paper work. While this is great for people who had the time and imagination to come up with amazing scenarios, I wanted something a lot more visual and interactive. Enter the D&D Board Game series. These sets (including this one) take parts of the D&D world and put a board-game twist on them. The game is a co-op game where it's the players versus the game itself (so no more need for one player to always act as a DM). The game never plays the same way! There are several scenarios (and some new ones available online) ... MoreI remember seeing the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons advertised in comics back in the 90's and thinking how awesome it looked. The game is a co-op game where it's the players versus the game itself (so no more need for one player to always act as a DM). The game never plays the same way! There are several scenarios (and some new ones available online) that give you a different objective each time you play. In addition, as you play the game, you place random dungeon tiles in the way you choose to customize your dungeon layout. Monster spawns are also random (though some are specified in the game for scenario objectives). The game is not a pushover either, as it is very easy to have your team wiped out and fail the objective. Overall, it's a great game that can be played solo, but is best played with a group of friends (gameplay usually lasts 1-2 hours) that will not get old anytime soon. If you're looking to capture that D&D fun without writing campaigns, designing dungeons, and coming up with the back-stories, then this game is for you.
