Again, this insert is superb. The unit quality is rock-solid and the organization of the contents couldn’t be better. If you are looking for a great insert to store WoA, this is it. Truly, it doesn’t get any better!

D&D Adventure System Board Game: Wrath of Ashardalon

Wrath of Ashardalon is a fun game. Wrath of Ashardalon is the second d and d adventure system board game.The theme is more classic fantasy than Castle Ravenloft. The game is a bit easier too. Wrath has a campaign mode where you can complete multiple quests and carry over your characters. This is a neat addition. It plays much like Ravenloft, fun, fast, d and d light. The characters from each adventure system game can be used in all adventure system games and that is awesome.

The board game rules this game runs on are surprisingly fun, but the real value in this game are the 42 miniatures it comes with! All but one of them are recasts of minis from previous lines D&D has produced over the years (Including one huge red dragon bless them.) all for $42.89. I scoured this website and did the math, If you wanted to buy all these miniatures in their original painted versions it would cost $362.89. That is a HUGE amount of value! And the fact that these minis don't come painted isn't even much of a problem because after a wash with a soapy tooth brush and a base coat of gesso, they take paint very well and you can get them to look amazing all on your own!

Decent Game, Great way to get lots of Minis

I bought this to get a good buy on DnD minis, as I love painting my own and these end up being about a dollar each. Minis are the same molds used for the earlier DnD collectible minis. They are unpainted, but have great detail. The game is actually more fun than I expected, and can be played solo, or with 2 to 5 players. There are a limited number of scenarios included, but there are more available online, and it is easy enough to make up your own. Very pleased with this purchase. Will be buying more of these boxed sets.

My wife and I bought Wrath of Ashardalon because we’re both into fantasy gaming, and we wanted something that we could play with friends, or when it was just the two of us. This was perfect for us. I remember seeing the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons advertised in comics back in the 90's and thinking how awesome it looked. When I actually got the opportunity to play the game, I was a bit disappointed to find out that most of the game was pencil and paper work. While this is great for people who had the time and imagination to come up with amazing scenarios, I wanted something a lot more visual and interactive. Enter the D&D Board Game series. In addition, as you play the game, you place random dungeon tiles in the way you choose to customize your dungeon layout. Monster spawns are also random (though some are specified in the game for scenario objectives). The game is not a pushover either, as it is very easy to have your team wiped out and fail the objective. Overall, it's a great game that can be played solo, but is best played with a group of friends (gameplay usually lasts 1-2 hours) that will not get old anytime soon. If you're looking to capture that D&D fun without writing campaigns, designing dungeons, and coming up with the back-stories, then this game is for you.

great cooperative game

Great game. This is a simplified dungeons and dragon adventure but you do not need a dungeon or game master to run the game so everyone plays and is on the same team. You win or lose as a team. The game does not take long to play and since the board and monsters are random each game will be different. The monsters actions are preprogrammed. This really has a dungeons and dragons feel without needing extensive player information since the information for each character is on their card. No players handbook ! Great game for a simplified dungeons and dragons cooperative adventure.
