Dunlop 428P1.14 Tortex Flex Standard 1.14mm Guitar Picks (12-Pack)

There’s a lot more snap in these, compared to standard Tortex picks. The usual quality is there, but they are noticeably different.

I have been using these picks for a few years now and as always, they never let me down.

Not as flexible as I thought it would be for such a thin pick

Was very excited to try these out, and I'm really digging them. Though they carry the famous Tortex turtle, Dunlop could've called these something else and gotten away with it. Compared side-by-side with a regular old they have more of smoother, plastic-y feel to them. True to the "Flex" moniker, they do have just a bit more bend in them then the regular Tortex. That, combined with a slightly slicker feel off the strings, makes them feel a little bit faster and smoother off the string than a regular Tortex. As far as durability and the way they wear in, they're identical to an old school Tortex.Soundwise, they're supposed to be closer to nylon and, indeed, they're kind of between a regular Tortex and the moderately warmer sound I get from a Herco 75. The flipside is that if you like the Herco's textured surface to get a certain tonal effect or care more about the durability of Tortex than it's sound, there might not be enough here to get you to switch. But overall, I'm really liking them. If you're a Tortex fan, these are worth checking out.

Probably my favorite pick for, well, everything!

I like this pick because even though it's a thicker gauge than a lot of people like, for someone like me with joint and nerve damage in my hand, I can actually use this one. Typically I ha e to finger pick as best as I'm able (which, sorry to say, isn't well) so it's nice to be able to change it up without my hands hurting.

Not what I ordered , not what I would of chose as a replacement.

The best pick ever!

I am primarily a jazz guitarist. Before the FLEX pick, I used to go back and forth between a regular Tortex pick and a nylon pick. I liked the feel of the Tortex, but it had a slight "click" on the attack. The nylon pick had no "click", but it did not produce the round tone and precise feel of the Tortex. The FLEX pick is the best of both worlds - classic Tortex tone and precision, and NO "click". It has a very slightly softer feel when striking the strings, but it's still very precise and under control. For me, the FLEX is the best pick ever!(I ordered both the standard and Jazz 3 shapes, and they are both equally great.)
