I normally use something like a tortex 0.5 mm. I wanted to try something thinner and more flexible. These delivered exactly that but I found them too soft and couldn’t dig into the strings enough so I’ve gone back to the 0.5. If you want a very flexible pick that gives quite a soft tone on the strings then this is what you’re looking for

Your strat sounds will have so much more quack and percussive attack. This pick grabs the string just the right way and with it being nylon, gives your guitar strings highs more prescence like an acoustic kind of quality. You can't break these picks. They are virtually indestructible and will take you forever to wear one down. Also there are a lot gentler on your strings too. I mainly use those 1mm Nylon picks for black metal and hard rock riffage. Stamped logo serves as grip, while the material is strong enough not to be bent too much and flexible for tremolo picking on multiple strings. Good all-around picks. Initially edges are quite sharp but might wear easily, but I guess that's expected from nylon picks. For soloing I would consider Tortex picks though as they deliver much more attack. Also there are similar products worth looking into.

Used Jim Dunlop plectrums for years, I often look for better alternatives but always seem to come back to them. They work. Always wanted them to do a brighter colour than grey or black, yes we all expect to lose our plectrums from time to time but grey makes it so hard to find.

Dunlop picks are the greatest ever!!!
12 February 2019

I have been using .38mm Dunlop Nylon picks since the beginning of time. (well, since the mid 70's anyway) I love these for strumming my acoustic. They are easy to hold on to as the "ridged grip" is what I really like about this brand. When I am playing rhythm on an electric I use the Dunlop Nylon .60mm. When playing leads I use the Dunlop Tortex .60mm. Been doing it that was for many years and do NOT see myself changing in the future. I received this order two days before Mr. Dunlop passed away. RIP Jim.

I can't comment on quality because these are a Christmas present, but I was under the impression they would be differ colors. Needless to say I was a tad disappointed when they came in and we're all the same sad grey color. Other than that they seem fine but if you are expecting different colors then beware

Greatest string purchase ever
1 July 2022

I thought this was just a normal string purchase until I took them home, put them on my guitar and all I can say is my life will never be the same. I now have 5 girlfriends because of these strings. Someone gave me a house, just gave it to me because they heard me playing with them. All my friends moms look at me differently too. I find myself saying eyes up here ladies ..............a lot. Thanks to these magical strings.

Hard to find
23 November 2016

I was preparing to play a memorial service and discovered I only had one Jim Dunlop .60 mm nylon pick. Since this is my "go to" pick I went out in Fresno to buy some more. The first place I went (the "BIG" guitar store in town) was all out and said they had been out for a while and they'd be happy to order some for me. Well, I was playing the next day so I said "No thank you." I drove over to a small, local music store and went up to their pick counter and saw ONE .60 mm pick in the box. I asked if there were any more in the back and they said no, this was it. I bought it. I came home, immediately went on Musician's Friend and ordered two packages. I got them in record time, at a great price and now have a selection to last me a while. Thank you Musician's Friend.

I will buy more of these guitar picks.
13 August 2021

Several years back I had what the Dr called TIA'S . They are mini strokes. I have no visible loss of function on either side of my body. But my right hand is a little weak and ordinary picks slip and turn between my thumb and forefinger. That is why I exclusively use these textured picks. I can hold them where I want them and never miss a lick. I buy the other picks to give to others that need to borrow a pick. This way I can keep these.

Shoddy picks
23 December 2018

I like the shape, and the dunlop logo on the pick is embossed which gives it good grip. But the material used is garbage quality. They get burned out faster than anything else I've ever used. After a couple days I noticed the pick I was using was snagging the strings, inspected it closely and noticed there were indentations and the edge was textured. Needless to say at that point the pick is bust. I've already gone through 5 of them since I got the order. Never had this issue with any of the dozens of brands I've had.
