Dux 50 Litre Electric Hot Water Heater

Hi, My old water heater which was 15 years old started to leak. The plumber checked and said it needed to be replaced . I was quoted between 1800 to 3000 by various plumpers for replacing the 250L water heater. Then I found this in bunnings. I contacted them over phone and the heater was installed very next day. 360$ was charged for the installation. Really happy with the product

I purchased this product via the online option for collection at my chosen store. The correct item packed in an intact cardboard box, was provided at pickup. The Dux was competitively priced and appears good value. The Dux is now installed and producing hot water as set at the control. There are metal pipes/plugs at five in/outlets, for water that are warm to touch, so obviously losing heat to the ambient air. Purchasers of this product should plan to insulate these metal sites as well as the hot water piping. Consider measuring up for foam tubing available at Bunnings. Energy loss via these highly conductive sites may be significant.

Good unit but difficult to install if pipes don't fit from previous water heater. I recommend when purchasing a water heater to replace the old with the same manufacturer. Yes, might cost a bit more money but worth it in time lost and frustration gained.
