I bought the new “long” version of the Dyson airwrap, with improved twist barrels to change curl direction without changing the attachment.I got the long barrel, rather than the short barrel model as I have long hair. Spray with hair spray.For those with hair that curls easier you will likely have more success for less effort.Here’s my pros / cons summary!Pros- new twist barrel design means less fiddling with attachments (see photo of attachments)- versatile attachments mean you don’t need a hairdryer or other brushes with this.- heat temp is great for hair, my hair looks so healthy when I use this.- once you get the hang of it, it really is easy to wrap you hair in the barrels. It’s fun / a novelty!- lovely design and packaging for neat storage.- “long” barrel great to get more heat across your hair.- produces an amazing blow dry, polished look.- hair appears healthier given the heat setting.Cons- it’s expensive! Even as I got this on the 20 per cent off sale.- lots of effort and prep to get best results for my eur-Asian, straight thick hair.- without effort, curls don’t last long and drop. No matter your hair texture or length or thickness, the Dyson Airwrap is a total game changer!! I have two daughters (one with very thick, frizzy and coarse hair and one with similar hair to me, finer and smoother). The Dyson Airwrap is amazingly easy and versatile to use and dries your hair incredibly quickly without burning your scalp - especially helpful when doing the kids’ hair. You look a million dollars and as if you’ve just walked out of a hair salon with honestly the least amount of time and effort imaginable. If you can afford it, it is definitely worth every penny with the versatile range of hairstyles you can achieve with minimal time and effort.

I was on the fence about the Airwrap for such a long time, and finally purchased for myself just after Christmas.Now, I cannot live without it!It does take a bit of practice, but it is so user friendly and convenient, and bonus points for looking cute too!If you’re considering buying one, just do it! You won’t regret it.

Not the best option for curly frizzy hair. Currently using it a hair dryer. It does dry my hair quicker than my GHD hair dryer. It is sleek and not too heavy. I do somehow regret the purchase as it’s way too expensive and I had high hopes for it. I think someone with soft, thick straight hair would get great results. Not me unfortunately:(
Got the air wrap as a gift from hubby. Love the convenience, my hair is shiny and healthy, love how it gives my hair volume.Unfortunately though I can’t get the waves to last! My hair looks amazing for an hour then drops and loses the curl and style. Not sure if it’s because I have the short barrel ( husband didn’t know the difference), while I have long hair. I have ordered the long barrel attachment to see if it will make an difference and just waiting for Dyson to have it back in stock.
I have been very sceptical over this purchase for sometime. Having owned the previous Dyson a few years ago (and regretfully selling it due to it not being used) I was unsure if my experience would be the same with the new and improved Dyson.This little miracle maker curls my thick, coarse curly hair so beautifully and even gets the back pieces so well which I always miss. It makes curling my hair a delight.The new smoothing attachment is gorgeous for finishing off my hair when I've straightened it.Would highly recommend especially for a beautiful blowout look!
The Airwrap is definitely pricey, but if you can afford it - I've experienced good results and had a lot of fun learning to use it. There are so many online communities you can join for tips. And even just using the hairdryer attachment, you notice the difference in quality. My hair is softer and shinier than before. I haven't quite figured out the defrizzing function, but I trust that this is a tool that gets better with time and practice.
Not as easy to use as i expected. Great for quick drying but finding it hard to master the different brushes. My Hair is shoulder length but still struggerling with the curling wand. The instructions were very basic and different hair types require different methods. Would be good to have more instructions and examples. Still please i purchased but it will take me time to master.
I think I still need a lot of practice with the different attachments but I’m very happy with the results so far (I have shoulder length rather fine hair). It feels as though my hair dries more quickly than with a regular dryer - less blasted by heat. Looking forward to upping my skills and being even more pleased with the big decision to purchase! I’d love it if the box was just a little deeper so I could fit the cord back in more easily for storing it between uses.
My hair has never felt so good I feel like I’ve been to the hairdresser each time I use it. Yes it’s more expensive than other stylers but it’s worth every penny. My hair feels light and healthy holding the curl so well, It’s my BMW hair curler and I have no regrets in investing in the best for my hair. My staff comment all the time asking “have you been to the salon again “. It’s my new feel good trustworthy pamper time. No more bad hair days for me.
