I really, really wanted to love this and I did my homework prior to purchasing. Everything I read said that this is not the tool for very long, very thick hair, but the reviews also said to watch the videos and to be patient. I spent time watching the videos and had a friend help me since she had one too, so I thought my experience would be different. Unfortunately it wasn't. I tried both the curling attachments, including using the cool shot at the end, and while they were incredibly fun to use, my curls didn't hold for more than 20-30 minutes. The flyaway attachment is awkward and didn't work well, and the round brush is far too small for the thickness and length of my hair, My Drybar double shot dryer works MUCH better. What I will say is the blowdryer alone is ... MoreI really, really wanted to love this and I did my homework prior to purchasing. She did say that there aren't nearly as many of the Shark multi stylers returned and she suggested that I try one of those instead as many of the employees liked those. It's a fun tool to use, but takes far too long to create a style that doesn't last, and costs WAY too much for something you aren't completely thrilled with. I was disappointed to say the least.

While I LOVED my airwrap when it worked, and I cared for it, quite literally, meticulously following all available instructions from Dyson, however, despite my great care for my machine, it has decided that it will no longer turn on. it was working perfectly yesterday, but when I went to go use it this morning, it simply refuses to turn on and flashes as if I need to clean the filter, even though I just did two days ago, have only used it once since then, and in general I have kept up with its upkeep, so it in no way is an issue with he filter. I have no clue what happened, it worked fine yesterday, I put it away in its box, I took it back out today's and its nothing more than a paperweight.I am shocked anything at this price point that has been cared for ... MoreWhile I LOVED my airwrap when it worked, and I cared for it, quite literally, meticulously following all available instructions from Dyson, however, despite my great care for my machine, it has decided that it will no longer turn on. it was working perfectly yesterday, but when I went to go use it this morning, it simply refuses to turn on and flashes as if I need to clean the filter, even though I just did two days ago, have only used it once since then, and in general I have kept up with its upkeep, so it in no way is an issue with he filter. Dyson has been little help so far, and their customer support hours are basically the same as most doctors, so good luck getting your device issues dealt with in a timely manner if you work a 9-5.Overall, even if they choose to honour their warranty, I am wholly unimpressed and beyond shocked that their product is so shoddily built. I wash the filter weekly and wash my attachments every three weeks, I store everything in the case it came in including the dryer when it is not in use. The cord still has the original bends in it from when I first took it out of its packaging because I have always put it back the same way, the little computing box on the cord hasn't even had its plastic film taken off of it from when it was brand new. I genuinely cannot think of a single thing I could have done to take better care of this machine, I'm just disappointed that I didn't listen to all the reviews I read before purchasing that warned me about the low quality of the product, and I'm even more disappointed they were right. I will never in my life purchase another Dyson product after this.

Been looking at the Dyson Hairdryer for years, If it’s worth the prize tag, less damage to my almost 60year young hair, but most of all to cut drying & styling time??? The answer is YES!!!I have a lot of “thick" shoulder length hair and it used to take almost double the time and quiet a procedure with “rough Hair drying” followed by round brush in one hand and hair dryer in the other, flat iron my “under lying hair” or it would be too bulky & then putting my “top Hair” in velcro rollers to get the shine without over heating and lift to my long layers… gave the "brush & hairdryer in one” device a chance, which totally overheated my hair, makes it prone to breakage and certainly didn’t give me the healthy shine. With the "Dyson Airwrap set" I get everything done in ... MoreBeen looking at the Dyson Hairdryer for years, If it’s worth the prize tag, less damage to my almost 60year young hair, but most of all to cut drying & styling time??? Put my make up on, which gives my hair more time to dry off. Unwrap my hair put on a “silky/frizz” product on the ends and work it upwards, then divide with hair clips my top hair layer in 3 section’s. Go with the Paddle-brush attatchment on (high heat setting) in slow downward motion, about 5 times (the thinner the hair layer the faster drying time)Important step: finish each section with the cool setting, that will get you the shine. Finish each section. For styling the top layer to a “beach-wave” look use the Airwrap wond instead of the paddle-brush attatchment. Same idea fill the whole wond but thin layers hold for at least 5-10 seconds and then turn to cool settings and hold for an additional 5-10 seconds, it’s worth it to hold the curl. Pull the wond out downward and finish with a flex-hairspray to hold the style longer. The round brush-attatchment gives you yet another option for styling, same idea: towel dry hair - high heat first, thin layers, cool setting.I wouldn’t have only bought the Dyson hairdryer, but the complete kit was absolutely worth it to me, especially the easy pay option made it possible for me to purchase. Thank you QVC :)

I tried my friend's Airwrap and instantly fell in love with how quickly I was able to dry & style my hair. Bought it on Black Friday last year as it was eligible for bonus points through my credit card's marketplace, however, I never received the points... Fine! I still loved using the tool and was using it 2-3x a week, as often as I needed to, in Toronto. It is excellent regarding efficiency for the ladies who can't spend 2 hours doing their hair every 1-2 days. And easy to use - after a few tries, you learn what works for your hair.HOWEVER, my main issue is that I ended up getting rid of all my other hair tools: blowdryer, hair straightener & curler, as I had proof that this tool did everything I needed. So, you can imagine my HUGE disappointment when I dragged ... MoreI tried my friend's Airwrap and instantly fell in love with how quickly I was able to dry & style my hair. I was in Monaco of all places where looking good was NOT optional, and I even had not packed a round hair brush to use in case of an emergency (because why would i need to?) I spent my trip looking like a RAT!!! Absolutely devastating considering this was the trip of a lifetime. Dyson let me down HUGELY! I did read all the manuals and instructions when I first got the product and not once could I recall seeing anything about "the product will only work in the country of purchase"... This has definitely left a chip on my shoulder for this brand.I ended up wasting space in my carry-on, space in my luggage for the hair products that I tend to use with the Dyson, and honestly emotional energy because of how heartbroken I was that the product did NOT work abroad. I travel frequently. For the ridiculous price that I paid for this product, I can say it is NOT worth it as I've had to go and purchase new hair tools that I HAD, but ended up selling. Not impressed. If you travel frequently, this is not the item for you. If you don't, then by all means, enjoy! Thanks!Kasia
First of all I am pretty sure Dyson is running an actual scam with all these social media influencers (see below). Also, This product does not work for all hair types (pretty sure you can only use this on fine hair* and I wouldn’t even do that considering the breakage I got after TWO uses).Yes, I know how to prep my hair properly. You can see from my “how a normal blowout looks on my hair photo”…I have never had these issues with any other hair tool or company. Honestly the Revlon One step when used properly is less damaging than this. In TWO uses this literally had my hair breaking off and falling out. PLEASE. What people are saying is true. You can find comments like this all over social media. This tool dries the ever loving crap out of your ends, mine felt awful, like straw, (you can even see this in the photos) and pieces in the front even started breaking off. I am not the only one this has happened to — just look thru the comments on social media, (I didn’t pay attention to this until AFTER the damage was already done)Also, my Photos show how the results changed within 12 minutes of styling my hair! My hair went from semi-sleek (still not to my usual standards), to a puff ball. Literally started rising in front of my eyes as the minutes went on. If you live anywhere with any type of humidity whatsoever, this will not work for you. And yes, I even used color wow dream coat and this still happened. My husband was in shock that a $600 hair tool performed like this!!! you can get a salon blowout from a $40 hair tool that’s 1000x better than this. This happened both times I used the Dyson!!Now, let’s discuss Dyson itself. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not be like me, and GOOGLE “Dyson customer service” BEFORE you buy this. They cover this product for 2 years, and then it “breaks”, and you cannot get it replaced because Dyson customer service is notoriously horrible. Just google it. I learned this the hard way when I went to return the Dyson I purchased directly fr
Yes, this thing makes my hair look incredible and gets me compliments all the time. However - my machine has broken four times over the course of 2 years. Thankfully Dyson has a 2 year warranty so I've been able to have my machine replaced each time its broken. The warranty restarts for the replacement machine. I have thick long hair and use my dyson at least once a week. I don't use the machine until my hair is 75% dry. I follow every rule when I use this thing and it still breaks about every 4 months in the middle of blow drying my hair. Its broken when I've been getting ready for an important event and I simply have to slick my hair back into a bun because half is not blown dry. Dyson has told me that the machine has a tendency to overheat and break when used ... MoreYes, this thing makes my hair look incredible and gets me compliments all the time. Its broken when I've been getting ready for an important event and I simply have to slick my hair back into a bun because half is not blown dry. Dyson has told me that the machine has a tendency to overheat and break when used frequently for extended periods of time (aka if you have long thick hair and want a blow out twice a week). Each time it breaks, the process to get a replacement machine takes up to a month. You have to talk to Dyson customer service, ship your entire machine (including all attachments AND the leather case it comes in) to Dyson. Once they receive your broken machine they will ship your replacement machine - which can take anywhere from 1-3 weeks. I bought a Revlon blowdryer last time my Dyson broke and my hair looks the EXACT SAME as when I use my Dyson - just need the ColorWOW product and hair rollers. Had I known all of this would happen before spending $600 on this thing I would have just bought the Revlon. If you still want to buy this thing after reading this review - my advice is to make sure you get a warranty with it. DO NOT buy used.
Due to some skin reactions to allergies, I have been having quite the time with my scalp, hair regrowth, and being susceptible to breakage all at the same time. My problem areas are a remaining color treated highlight and my front fringe. I wanted something for the winters that would allow me to more quickly dry and style my hair so I don't get breakage from freezing it outside, while also being able to blow dry and style my hair without causing more heat damage. I have A LOT of hair, but the strands are fine. It is about 1.5 inches below my collar bone and it just heavy enough where the slight wave I do have makes my hair really full, but my roots very flat when air dried.I love that I can achieve an amazing blowout look since I am not one that has been able to ... MoreDue to some skin reactions to allergies, I have been having quite the time with my scalp, hair regrowth, and being susceptible to breakage all at the same time. It is about 1.5 inches below my collar bone and it just heavy enough where the slight wave I do have makes my hair really full, but my roots very flat when air dried.I love that I can achieve an amazing blowout look since I am not one that has been able to master the hair dryer and round brush technique, while still being able to do something a little more low maintenance. Unless I am going to events, I don't need my hair to look perfect and I like the clean but just rolled out of bed and my hair is naturally vibing look. With this tool, I think I can achieve just about everything I need while having more control over the heat being applied to my hair than my previous tools. HOWEVER.... styling front bangs with this has been a MASSIVE learning curve and I still have to go in with my straightener when my part is being stubborn. Using a roller has really helped, but I am still finding the sweet spot with it. I would LOVE if there was a barrel that was slightly smaller than 1.2 inches as well for the shorter layers, I think it would help maintain the curl longer.Overall, I really like the product and I see myself using it often, but what you are really paying for with this product is the technology. I accepted that my curls may not last all day (though my hair is still sufficiently wavy) with this product because there is less heat being used and that is fine with me because I would rather have healthy hair than damage from trying to get it perfectly styled. The price does hurt, and that I regret a little, but I would recommend this if your expectations are realistic and align with what the product can do.
Ok I've had the airwrap for a month. Bought it in store. I will start with I love the curl tool, that is the hero attachment for the airwrap. I found it does stay if you do a good blow dry spray/serum before hand and using a cool shot to set the curl then hairspray. It's also incredibly fast to dry so that's also in its favour & lightweight compared to a normal hairdryer. The brush blow out is not completely smooth in my opinion however my hair does look healthy after styling. My biggest disappointment was that the defuser attachment didn't come in my box which I didn't realise until a week or so after purchasing as I was focused on other styles. When contacting Dyson store the customer service person stated they were out of stock and when asking why I was sold it ... MoreOk I've had the airwrap for a month. Bought it in store. When contacting Dyson store the customer service person stated they were out of stock and when asking why I was sold it full price with a missing part the person I spoke to didn't seem to care and said I could just return it. I then contacted Dyson online and spoke to someone more professional who stated they'd leave a note on the system to send me out the diffuser attachment once back in stock. However I was pretty shocked at the poor service considering how ridiculously expensive this is. I thought it would fully replace my current hair kit, however I'd still need my GHDs for a super sleek look & my trusty old curling wand for really set & stay curls. (for context my hair is naturally wavy & can be frizzy when left naturally or rough dried but brow drys into style really well)So is it worth it for this price? I don't think it is. it should be at least £100 cheaper and the attachments do feel cheap considering the wand itself feels extremely high quality. Dyson need to work on their customer service and price point. I'd suggest buy to try and see how you feel but if you have the patience then sticking with the classics is good too.
One of the best purchases I have ever made- I had asked every single person I knew with thick & long hair if the Dyson air wrap styler was worth the price and every single person answered me without a second of hesitation- they all said yes! So before I even purchased this item- I knew it had to be special. Apparently special is an understatement for this product!First I’ll tell you about my hair texture. It’s extremely thick and coarse- wavy in texture and literally sometimes takes me over an hour to just blow dry my hair flat or straight followed by another hour of going over it with the hair straightener - so to spend $600 on something that would potentially save me hours - seemed like a no brainer. I also really struggle with styling my hair and can barely use ... MoreOne of the best purchases I have ever made- I had asked every single person I knew with thick & long hair if the Dyson air wrap styler was worth the price and every single person answered me without a second of hesitation- they all said yes! I also really struggle with styling my hair and can barely use a curling iron- but this product makes my hair look like I got it done at the salon- every time I use it! Literally this product revolutionized hair styling in all honesty & has cut down on time SIGNIFICANTLY!So if you’re not good at styling your hair & want a tool to assist you in that department you absolute need the. Dyson air wrap! Or if you’re looking for something to manage your thick and coarse hair and significantly cut down on drying and styling time- this is the one! This tool is amazing- my only complaint would be- it needs a styling guide/booklet with all the attachments and all their multiple uses!
My friend had an Airwrap when we traveled together a few years ago. I used it once and thought it was really nice, but since my hair was short, I thought I wouldn’t use it enough to warrant the expense. Fast forward three years and the round brush is a little narrower and my hair is a little longer, so I broke down and purchased it. I am so glad I did. It took me 8 minutes (I timed it with a stopwatch) from soaking wet hair to completely styled. My hair is a bob length, fine, but very thick, and usually takes me 20 minutes to dry/style and then another 10 to curl it with the flat iron. Also, my hair is 1 day hair, meaning I have to wash it every day to get a style. Not anymore. My hair is a bob length, fine, but very thick, and usually takes me 20 minutes to dry/style and then another 10 to curl it with the flat iron. Also, my hair is 1 day hair, meaning I have to wash it every day to get a style. Not anymore. With the Airwrap, I can use the rod on it for a few minutes and it looks just washed and styled. It does require hairspray to keep the style, but so did my 30 minute hair. I don’t use all of the attachments—pretty much the brush and the thin rod—so most are unnecessary. I also wish it came with a travel carrying case, but I got one on Amazon for $13, so that will have to work until the Dyson ones are back in stock. I think for the price, Dyson should include the case. When I read reviews online, people said something about a battery dying, but it doesn’t have a battery, so no clue what they were talking about. They also mentioned about it not holding the curl, but it’s not a hot curling iron, so keep that in mind. It fluffs the hair, puts a light curl in it for extra body, and with hairspray, it holds. I am very happy with my purchase.
