So I need to empty the 'dust bag' too often for it to keep sucking properly. Cleaning the dust bin is messy, somewhat better, but worse than the older models. In any case, you have to be careful with bagless technology not to breathe in the dust when emptying. We have always bought Dyson for the visual appeal. I did love the DC05 even though it always smelled dusty in its later years when vacuuming so I am glad it has gone, but it was much lighter and easier to use, emptying the dust was always a challenge though. The tools on the Origin model are very awkward to use compared to DC05. The angles are all wrong. I did ask the sales girl the difference between the Origin and more expensive models, and she said it is the tools. So if I did upgrade, it would be for the tools. Would I buy another Dyson? I would have to ask more questions about the model I have compared to the more expensive models And going by the complaints I see here, I am sure they will improve the next generation of Dyson. To be fair, I have never complained about this cleaner I bought to anyone at Dyson. Staff at their Sydney headquarters have been less than knowledgeable and less than helpful. ( trainees with a lack of product knowledge, however, I did get a salesgirl I bought the Origin from, who called me back and gave me great service. I kept her number and name for future purchases and questions. ( We own 3 Dyson fans including a cool-hot - 2 are faulty, the older model is best) My brother threw out his cool-hot fan-heater because he couldn't be bothered to get it fixed. After struggling to thoroughly clean with a Handstick vacuum, I purchased the Dyson Cinetic Absolute Nickel Vacuum as I had previously owned a similar vacuum in the past. I am absolutely delighted with this new vacuum as cleaning has never been easier. The suction is strong, it is easy to manoeuvre in tricky spots, the attachments are easy to change and it is light and easy to handle. My house which includes both carpet and timber flooring has never been cleaner.

Casually leaves that last length just sticking out there... As if it is saying a final "- - - - - YOU" to its user before going home to its nest until YET the next house cleaning experience. ............................................................................................................. The Dyson Cinetic Big Ball is a good example to illustrate why planes crash. .............................................................................................................. The BEST THING however is this. Due to Dyson's absolutely IMPECCABLE customer service, a benchmark for any who dare to follow, they have kept my old Big Ball serviced and running for many years still to this day, and I am sure, for many more years to come. Dyson Champion - I have been using my Big Ball Absolute for about a month now and it is incredibly easy to use compared to previous barrel vacuum cleaners I’ve had. I especially love that there is no filter to clean as I hated cleaning them in the past. The machine has a strong suction power and it doesn’t miss anything at all. Plus it is smaller than my previous machine and very easy to store as the parts pull apart so smoothly. The Absolute model has been very convenient because of the different attachments it comes with. The soft dusting brush is perfect for my glass top tv unit and also the window sills and my glass dining table. I have been very satisfied with this vacuum cleaner and I would definitely recommend it.
This is my 3rd Dyson. First one lasted 10 years and the second one was 11 years old when the turbo head started not spinning all the time. We decided to buy a new entire cleaner due to its age. There was no decision to be made regarding going to another brand, just wanted a new Dyson. They have each been excellent cleaners. This latest one has a much better clear bowl to clean out with the filter section also elevating for an easy wipe out too.

Well I am not disappointed! My old DC23 barrell died after 13 years of use and I was reluctant to switch to another brand but wasn't sure whether these newer Dyson models would be just as good. The suction is so much stronger, actually lifting the carpet up from the underlay so I can have the confidence it is removing the fine dust as well as larger debris whilst I vacuum slowly. Also, after emptying the barrel I do have to carefully ensure I've heard the second, quieter click when closing it up to ensure the trap door is latched shut. Thankfully I was made aware of this little issue from reading a previous review. The motor head does get tangled with hair just like my old one but I do have long hair and I just don't see how this could be prevented. If there is barely any maintenance with this machine, I don't mind having to clean out the motor head now and again. Overall, the above inconveniences which I'm sure I will grow accustomed to do not outweigh the functions I purchased the Big Ball Absolute for - strong suction, easy to empty/maintain and a good variety of accessories to make tricky jobs easier. I am glad I purchased and I hope this vacuum will last as long as my old Dyson!
I have always had a Dyson animal upright and its not as though they didn't have problems but it all happened whilst under warranty and I couldn't fault Dyson on warranty for parts and fixing. The Big Ball that I have just purchased earlier this year leaves me thinking 'no more Dyson'. I am totally unhappy with this big, clunky thing. It's impossible on stairs and the suction is just not good enough. I left it too long for returning the vac and now I am stuck with it.
